City Guardian nominations are now open.

Current Guardians and newcomers are welcome to run. Current Guardians will continue their positions until the election process is complete. In the case of more than one guardian seeking nomination, a vote will be held. Anyone else seeking candidacy must reply to this message by Wednesday, May 31st. If only one candidate's name is submitted, no vote will be necessary and duties may be assumed immediately at the end of the election period. After the nominations are made, Guardian Candidates will be given a period to campaign and the polls will be open June 18th-24th.

Current Guardians and their deputy teams who are not re-elected will be given a severance package that will last 1 month from the day they leave office to assist in the transition to a new job position.

- Since it's the hub, I feel Genessia should embrace both magic and technology to make sure everyone feels welcomed. A stream of incoming people with culture shock, not helpful.

- Pet-friendly housing for the people who come in, or at least some kind of kennel. Last thing we need is to give anyone who shows up more reasons to panic, right?

- We should probably get some kind of decontamination arch, or something that can like...scan the newcomers to make sure no one brings the plague in.

- Continued research into what makes this place tick, and ways to let people who want to, y'know, go.

- Review the security and make any necessary adjustments because the bounty situation is jobs, sure but... Should it really be getting to that? I don't think so.

- Monthly meetings with the public, and with other Guardians and stuff to keep in touch with what people, well, need. Keeping people happy, healthy and safe is what this stuff's about, right? That's what I thought.

- I absolutely believe that the city is on the mark when it comes to the handling of giant seafood and heartily approve of rallying together to turn would-be Godzilla foes into delicious dinner. In other words - Working together to take care of threats and find the bright side of a situation.

In-World Accomplishments: Her presence has kept the threat of Ganon at bay.. or at least that's what she's telling people.
Hobbies: Studying biology, medicine, magic, technology, and economics. Singing, dancing, fencing, exploring, drawing, photography, horseback riding, camping.
Other: While she has not done much in the world just yet, there is promise and a bright future for those Genessia who are complacent or lost. -Strong on team work and building a structured system that puts deputies in charge of smaller areas of the city in order to increase security.
-Strong believer in criminal rehabilitation during incarceration.
-Plans to increase investigation of rights violations and white collar crime in Nova City.
-Would like to start providing mental health support for law enforcement, including both the Guardians' Office and Bounty Hunters.
-Would like to start doing more face-to-face with citizens in order to find out which areas the city thinks needs improvement and to create an increased dialogue between the Guardians' office and its citizens.

In-World Accomplishments:
As current City Guardian for Nova City, our team has:
-Increased number of deputies and delegated protection to them in order to ensure smaller, more secured sectors of Nova City.
-Established a bounty hunters' licensing system that protects the rights of people involved in and near bounty hunts, both on the side of hunters and the hunted.
-Brought down significant numbers of the Red Claw terrorists, most recently in a bust at a WarpCorp facility after it was purchased by Aster Technologies. The bust resulted in the capture of a number of key Red Claw lieutenants and the prevention of weapons technologies being stolen and delivered to the hands of terrorists. (April.)
-Brought down a team of scientists illegally experimenting on Pokemon, one Pokemon of which now chooses to assist Guardian Schnee as a member of her team.
-Captured and prosecuted a rogue scientist who infected the water supply in collaboration with a bounty hunter.
-Decreased overall crime rates and violent crime rates in Nova City significantly since taking office.

Outside of being a City Guardian, Weiss Schnee has:
-Founded and funded the Genessia Scientific Research Foundation, a non-profit organization with the intent to research Genessia itself with the goals of finding out both how to stay and leave at will and better understanding the world itself and our purpose in it.
-Founded and developed Schnee Company in order to provide assistance to newly incoming Genessians and to help acclimate and teach citizens skills to thrive within almost every archway. By recently entrusting her brother with Schnee Company's future, Weiss Schnee intends to fully dedicate herself to the City Guardian lifestyle and find new ways to help move the city forward.
-Thrown a number of fundraisers to help raise money for multiple causes, from the GSRF to pet adoption services.
-Worked with Aster Technologies in order to establish the WaysPoints System, which will allow for fast-travel throughout all of Genessia's Cities, to debut mid-June.

Hobbies: Party planning, re-mastering piano (formerly singing, but unfortunately this job does take its toll sometimes), organizing, ice skating, Pokemon training, caring for her adopted pet dogs Frost and Sleet.

-Deputy Vakarian has been educated in properly investigating scenarios before reporting them as criminal activity, though we do applaud his enthusiastic response in the name of justice even if it was slightly overzealous.
-Weiss Schnee is a current candidate for an award for being "Most Helpful."
-Will be throwing an election party on the last day of the polls to congratulate all winners regardless of who they are at the Nova City Guardian Skyrise. Food will be breakfast for dinner, featuring three kinds of pancakes. Free entry if you prove you voted, though you do not have to share who you voted for. Casual dress, please save the date.

In-World Accomplishments: Accomplished bounty hunter and upholder of the law, current deputy.
Hobbies: Varied. She plays the harpsichord, explores Everglade in her free time, reading/lurking on the network. It depends on her mood.

Potential Deputies: Karla, though more will be added if Reelected.
Candidate Positions: Continuing to increase the quality of life for those in Genessia. Believes in having a good working relationship with the Guardians of each city for times where they are required to work together. Creating a stronger relationship between the citizens and those that help and protect them, especially in times of need. Increasing the efficiency of emergency services to help cut down response time when they are called out. To help open and find out what is in the “Wind Gate” Archway on the back of the Bay, that has been there for several years now.
In-World Accomplishments:

-Founded a Training Facility in Nova City and Genessia City for people to train their abilities.
-Founded the K&H Home for Children for any young children that end up in Genessia to go to.
- Personally put together a team and fixed the Nova City Power Crisis.
-Willing sacrificed memories to help fix the Everglade Barrier during the Barrier crisis.
-Has run a Carnival in Nova City twice.
-First act as Guardian was to make it illegal to discriminate upon others in Genessia City be it for race, creed or religion.
-Saw to the creation of weaponry to help fend off an attack should another Barrier crisis arise.
-Has ran multiple Charity events throughout the years to not only fund the K&H Home, but other charities as well.
-Revamped and expanded the Genessia City police force.
-Established a proper jail to hold Prisoners for the police force.
-Established a Pokemon Healing station in each city for people with Pokemon to heal them.
-Established a Prison to hold high priority or superpowered prisoners that commit crimes. Said prison is entirely humane and offers many options for inmates to spend their time, be it in therapy sessions, reading or even learning trades.
- With the help over Yukiko Amagi and Olivia Moore, saw to having the Chimera Infection researched.
-Established an affordable housing development in Genessia City.
-Has two pendants needed to unlock the archway on the back of the Bay.

Hobbies: Work (that counts as a hobby, right?) Reading, watching movies, the odd video game here and there. Training his own abilities, spending times with friends, recently taking in Baseball games.
Other: While not a politician in his own world, he has helped to save the world, fought on a team to take out large threats and even to stop discrimination and oppression of an entire people in a single country.

Candidate Positions: Bring the Children of Elo to justice for their atrocious crimes, solidify the standing of non-humans in the world at large while promoting awareness of their innate needs.
In-World Accomplishments:
-Helped make harming/harassing the elderly, disabled (physically, mentally, or emotionally disabled), the sick and injured, and anyone under the age of adulthood, no matter their species, a criminal offense.
-Co-founded The Red House Foundation, a shelter for those with no place to call their own. Also provides opportunities for gaining skills and giving back to the community. It also serves as an option for companies to gain tax breaks for volunteering at the shelter.
-As a result of the shelter, the rate of squatting in unoccupied buildings and houses have dropped.
-Worked with the mayor to provide housing assistance to those that wish to relocate from Everglade.
-Clarified the regulations for Necromancy within Everglade.
-Helped establish Edible Alternatives, a small meat store catering to those with alternative dietary needs.
-95% of my salary went into projects and programs to better the city and its residents.
Hobbies: Spending time with family, reading, drinking tea, sharpening computer programming skills, giving belly rubs to my dog, shopping.
Other: Having lived in three other worlds, they become important to you over time, and this one is no different. - Strives for teamwork at all times and willing to work with anyone if there is a common goal in mind, regardless of whether they get along normally.
- Actively seeks to keep in touch with civilians for their opinions and concerns for going-ons in the city.
- Always prefers to first take a diplomatic and peaceful approach to problems and avoids jumping to violence wherever possible.
- Instating needed equipment upgrades for the Guardian's Office to better respond to emergencies and better protect the city in case of invasions and attacks brought about from those outside the city. This is being done with the aid of current Guardians Haller, Schnee and Nova Deputy Vakarian. This new equipment would only be used in emergencies beyond what Attleton is used to seeing, and there would be no changes to how typical crime in the city is dealt with.
- Continued surveillance of the Midnight Channel subarchway to ensure continued safety of civilians and so that the subarchway is not weaponized again.
In-World Accomplishments:
- Aided in the creation of antidotes at the Happy Heights amusement park for the sensory deprivation disease.
- Successfully arrested Icy and put an end to her invasion with the assistance of many residents, as well as arresting the ringmaster of Cirque du Vrai.
Hobbies: Reading, training, building aircraft models, learning history of wars, aces and military tech, working at the Genessia City library, spending time with his dog Kirk and cat Sisko and his three Pokémon, protecting others and keeping peace.
Other: Served in his home country's Air Force as a squadron leader and went onto leading a top secret squadron serving directly under his country's President. Aided in the rescue of his country's President and another country's Prime Minister in order to bring about a quick end of a wrongful war caused by a third party. He fights for peace and the protection of others above all else.

Potential Deputies: Dr. Leonard McCoy, Spock. I'm taking suggestions or applications for anyone else who wants to help out.

Candidate Positions: I've gotta be honest with you, from what I've seen so far - and I don't have a lot of experience here, yet, but believe me I'm working on it - I don't see a lot of things that need to change, necessarily. I think that for a world mostly made up of immigrants taken from more universes than I can count, you've got a good thing going, and I'm not about to come in and just start changing everything because I can.

What I'd do as City Guardian is look towards shoring up what needs shoring up, especially in a security sense, and look to the people - former Guardians and deputies, law enforcement, really everyone, and see what they think needs to be done. I don't really believe in ruling like a king and ordering people around; I'd rather get people's input before I hurl a wrecking ball through their house. I get that I'm a newcomer here, and I just want to do what's best for everyone, including the people who haven't gotten here yet.

I have a lot of leadership experience, and for the last several years I've been serving as Captain of the Starship Enterprise as we departed on a five year exploratory mission in deep space, operating with a crew of over one thousand. We came out the other side of more conflicts than I can count. I want to make that kind of progress here. With you.

In-World Accomplishments: I haven't been here very long, I'll admit. I don't have a lot of accomplishments here. Mostly, I've been getting to know the place - I've been getting in a lot of walking.

- Founded Fairy Tail, one of Fayren's most visible magic guilds for over a year. Fairy Tail has multiple bounties under its belt and often works closely with both Fayren's past Guardians and the White Tower.
- Led Fairy Tail during the campaign against the Hands of Decay, assisting in ending their threat and helping their victims in the aftermath.
- Acted as an 'honorary Deputy Guardian' during the Hands of Decay crisis.
Hobbies: Books! Especially books about fairies. I literally grew up in a library. It is for this reason that I'm currently working as a part-time clerk at Scrolls and Scribes.

Potential Deputies: Deputies would be decided by job interview if elected
Candidate Positions:
- Finding ways to be able to contact deputies and possibly other Guardians quickly if something severe should happen.
- Training deputies or volunteers in basic first aid to be able to deal with injuries while on patrol. Be this magical based healing or not.
- Public patrols to reassure the public that they are safe.
- Trust in co-workers and Guardians and deputies.
In-World Accomplishments:
- Helped get a sample of the Chimera Infection
- Established Amagi Inn for those who were new and wanted a free place to stay.
- Established Heals on Wheels a healing group that travels around and helps those who cannot get to a hospital or medical center.
Hobbies:
Cooking, reading, spending time with my pokemon, hanging out with friends, cleaning, tidying.
Other:
To continue to make it public, I do have an ability called a Persona. It's apart of who I am and gives me the ability to use Fire and Healing magic.
