Good Evening.

As you may have heard, I have recently stepped down from pursuing the Schnee Company at my daughter’s request and allowed it to be passed on to my son, Whitley. I hope that you’ll treat him with the same respect and admiration you all showed for Weiss.

Now, I know there were some misgivings about my behavior when I first arrived, and I am truly sorry for the way I acted. I was very stressed and my actions were naive, immature, and in only my own interests instead of anyone else’s. I apologize and hope that you’ll look past that awful first impression. I would like to see this world prosper, and I believe I have found a way.

[He plasters on the most politician smile you can imagine here.]

I have elected to run for the Guardian position in Attleton. I firmly believe that I can implement change that is beneficial to everyone, not only in Attleton but even to Genessia as a whole to some extent. I encourage everyone to take a look at my application and reach out with any questions or concerns you may have.

No… [The word is stretched out.] A vetting system means there’s a more detailed process in allowing things to happen. For instance, to allow a circus where murder is encourage to slip in is a problem. I would make the application a little bit more in depth to ensure this kind of thing does not happen again.

Though I suppose I could look into something to help the pokemon as well. I’ve heard that many Guardians and Deputies use theirs to assist them with their duties so it’s only fair that they are taken care of. Thank you for the suggestion, Bracken.

I suppose it also speaks to your credit that you've yet to be here a month, and have gleaned such a keen and thorough understanding of the government of the realm that you feel you can become a part of it. I mean, to master such a turbulent political environment in so short a time! Why, what other candidate could we hope to elect?

It intrigues me to notice that nearly every new candidate has chosen this medicine vs. magic issue to make part of their platform, when to my knowledge the Guardian position has no power to make such a change. Is everyone perhaps mistaking this for some sort of political position, as opposed to the very real, very literal definition of its office?

Also, I like how you've 'stepped down' from the company your daughter's friends and allies pretty much told you you would never touch so long as they were able to stop you. Apparently being told bluntly what would happen has not been enough to dissuade you from making a complete ass of yourself - not that I expected it to. I wash my hands of all attempts at helping someone who clearly is not willing to accept that help.

I am not necessarily opposed to magic when it comes to medicine [though he is skeptical as to what it can do]. I was referring more to the so called “potions” that exist in this world. Now, I’m not entirely sure of the level of medicine that Attleton has to offer, but I do know that it is inferior to Nova City, and if it’s available in one than it’s available in another.

In regards to the political side of things, it is true that some of the things I’m striving for are out of the reach of a Guardian, however someone with such a high position of power can be quite influential; it’s all about who you know, after all.A vote for Schnee isn’t just about keeping the city safe; it’s about a promise for a better tomorrow.

Now, about the Schnee Company, that discussion was handled by Weiss and myself in a closed door meeting. It was a mutual agreement [caused by a pre-existing contract weiss had made for just an occasion that I would retire from ownership of the Schnee Company. There were no lawyers present, and there was no forcing of anything. The suit was bought with my own funds from the retirement plan my daughter and I set up, so there’s no reason to fear that I’ve left them wanting.

[That last but might have been a bit of a sneer. His patience is wearing thin with this one.]

Admittedly, I myself am not a fighter, however the Guardian is in charge of the legal system; their deputies are the ones that take the streets. My job is just to make sure that everything is running smoothly and that proper laws are in place to maintain peace, and also to see that justice is being served.

I have been assured several times that what you were means nothing here. [Everyone was very adamant about that when he first got here.] So long as you don’t commit any felons here, you should be fine. After all, one of Nova City’s Deputies was a murderer back home and now look where he is.

[First on Jacques’ agenda: eliminate that dumbass rule so he can get his prestige back.]

As for medicinal practices, that’s, ah, an oddly specific query. It certainly wouldn’t be my top priority, but, uh, yes, I suppose I could ask someone to focus on that. Though I’m not sure why that of all things concerns a young woman such as yourself.
