[Private - Dante Sparda and David Jordan]

Blaze here. I'm sure you've already heard Guardian Haller's announcement, so you're aware that we've got an emergency.

Thirteen, I need you to handle the town evacuations to Haller's safe house. I'll leave it to your judgment if you want to return to the archway or stay behind to protect the safe house's entrance afterward.

Dante, I'll need you at the front line. Use whatever method you need to hold those things off. Don't hold anything back.

I'll be aiding in the defense of the archway, and helping any remaining Attleton residents out of Genessia City. Flareon and Sandslash will stay behind to help defend, Mismagius will be with me.

We're not letting a single one of those things through.

[The feed starts up with Blaze sitting at the entrance of the Attleton gate in Genessia City on his black and red motorcycle. Behind him are his three Pokemon companions - Flareon, Sandslash and Mismagius - all ready to aid in the cause. He's not going to waste any time with fluff, so he's getting straight to the point. Thank god he didn't go to that award event thing.]

Any Attleton residents in need of an escort to the city, inform me immediately and I'll come get you. Once you're back in the city, Deputy Jordan will escort you to Haller's safe house. Those within city limits that have no fighting ability are not to be permitted outside of the safe house without protection until we can confirm with absolute certainty that Attleton itself is no longer in danger. Anyone nearest to the Attleton archway are welcome to seek refuge here.

If there is anyone else capable of supplying extra support in either the archway's defense or escorting civilians back to the city, we'd be appreciative of any and all help.

[The video cuts, because he's got some serious work to do and a lot of spirits to help deflect. He hopes his Holodeck training pays off.]

Blaze, this is Ayame.

[ By the tone of her voice, Ayame doesn't seem bothered by any of this at all. In a way, it makes sense, since this is actually what's normal for her. But she's feeling a sense of dread regardless of her ease. ]

Are you in need of assistance?

[ With Dante being the only superpowered guardian in Attleton, she feels that she'll be more useful in here than anywhere. Nova City is well protected in general, Genessia has Haller, while Fayren would already have a lot of volunteers given how Guardian-less it is. While Everglade? Fuck Everglade. ]

Yes, we'll need all the help we can get.

[Thank god, any kind of offer of support is something that helped calm Blaze's nerves a little. Though that calm tone of voice she has admittedly perplexes him, but that's not something to focus on.]

I have faith in Dante's abilities, but I'd feel a lot safer if he had more support than just me.

[Especially since he may have to go and bring civilians back to the archway. Dante having some extra help would make him feel a lot more at ease.]

[ Ayame closes the audio conversation, saying her codename out of habit. It took some time as she was with Satsuki, heading off to the Nova City gate first before she makes her way to the one in Attleton. She shows up, just walking towards Blaze on his motorcycle still dressed in her party outfit ]

Blaze.

[ Ayame nods calmly in greeting ]

Give me an objective and I shall see it done.

[Wait. Did she say 'Cipher'? ... huh, weird.

When she arrives, Blaze will be coordinating attacks for his three Pokemon, and with their combined efforts, so far defense was going pretty well. Short-handed without a doubt, but luckily Mismagius' Psywave was keeping the air relatively covered.

He turns his head when he hears Ayame. He was briefly puzzled by her choice of dress, but then he remembered that the event was still going on when this started. He returns the nod to her.]

Ayame. Seems like these things picked a bad time to show up.

[It's true, even Blaze can manage a quip in the heat of battle sometimes. Sometimes.

He turns his attention away from her briefly to order Sandslash to attack a spirit coming from 12 o'clock, then quickly turned his head back to Ayame.]

I can hold the fort here until more assistance arrives, so I'll need you to cover Dante. I don't know what these things are, but I don't want him handling things solo.

[He should be thinking about himself too in this regard, seeing that Dante's far more powerful than Blaze could ever dream of, but his own safety isn't nearly as important as those around him. Not to mention Dante is the best that Attleton has, so if something happened to him, Blaze and Thirteen could end up in more than a bit of trouble.]

Indeed, they definitely know how to make a grand entrance.

[ Ayame replies dryly, matching Blaze's quipping tone. Ayame watches Blaze's Pokemon and hopes Hibana is protecting her shop. Because she's really more concerned about her business than anything else right now ]

Very well, I shall do that. But first...

[ Ayame's blinks, turning her eyes into a glowing violet and forming a rippling aura around herself. Sand and grit from the ground tremble and levitate as that aura extends, rippling further and further towards Blaze and his Pokemon. The warm wave would serve to enhance Blaze and his allies physically and grant them a recharging aura-like barrier. Blaze's gun would significantly increase in damage, giving it an ability to actually harm these spirits with each explosive round it fires ]

That power is temporary, and will only last as long as you let it. Use it wisely. And Blaze, give these creatures hell.

[ Ayame nods. That was her way of saying be careful, while taking a couple of steps towards the direction she senses Dante to be in. Her expression directed towards Blaze is one of concern and trust. He isn't exactly alone, so she can at least take comfort in that before speeding off into the city. ]

[He was already thankful that she would carry out what he asked, but what she did then was something he couldn't have possibly expected. The same warmth he felt would be noticed by his Pokemon, who all appeared rejuvenated and were able to carry out their orders even more efficiently.

This would be one of the only moments that Blaze would actually have a confident smile on his face. He could easily feel a difference in himself with whatever power she used, and he knew he needed every little ounce of help. He would use that to show what he could really do in a crisis.]

I don't know what you did, but it won't go to waste. You and Dante better give them hell too.

[Between having her and Dante out there, he was confident in how the fight would go. He couldn't possibly ask for better companions in a pinch.]

"Don't hold anything back" huh? I heard the announcement and I get that this is a big deal, but I want you to be sure about this. I pull out the big guns, and there's going to be fallout.

...not the literal kind, but you know what I mean.

If we want to make sure the city is safe, then it's a chance I'm willing to take.

[Regardless, Blaze doesn't sound worried. He's confident his decision.]

I have full confidence in your judgment and abilities. Whatever you think needs to be done, do it.

[If shit ends up broken as result, Blaze will just pay for it. But keeping spirits at bay is a little more important than a bit of potential property damage.]

[Dante sighs slightly, closing the door to the closet he kept his trophies in, turning to face where Sparda hung on the wall.]

Alright, but remember, you hired me. Can't fire me for what happens today.

[And with that, the feed cuts off, Dante already on his way to the gate.]

I have 5 GCPD officers on there way there to give you backup. They are under orders to follow whatever directives you give them.

Are you in need of a weapon to deal with the spirits or do you have that covered?

Roger that. Thank you, David.

[Usually Blaze is more formal in referring to the other Guardians, but he doesn't have time for that. He's thankful for whatever aid he gets.]

The best my current load out can do is deflect them for a short time. Even my Pokemon only seem to be annoying them at best.

I'm well aware of the risks, but I may need to borrow one of your weapons if I want to make sure these things don't get into Attleton.

[David honestly doesn't care if anyone is formal with him or not. Less formal always feel most natural, though.]

The creatures were troublesome, even during their first appearance.

What type of weapon do you want to use?

I guess hoping for them to lighten it up a bit would be too much to ask this time around.

[Yeah, right. As if anything Blaze has ever dealt with in his life would ever think of going easy.]

Do you have any ranged weaponry? I don't know if I'm entirely confident with my melee skills to be able to rely on them right now in this situation.

I have two crossbows. The bolt forms on it so you don't have to worry about loading one in yourself. [The crossbows required the most work to make, so he only has four. And the other two are already out on loan.]

Want me to bring it to you?

[Crossbows, huh? Now those were something he'd never used before, but if that was the option then he'd take it. After all of this is over, he should consider getting better melee training in.]

Only if you can spare the time. [He knows David's abilities are far beyond his own, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have more important things to worry about right now.] But I'm not sure I can safely leave the archway, even for a moment.

[David has people all over handling things. As long as nothing else catastrophic happens, he can spare the time it takes to bring him a weapon.]

On my way. [He shuts off the feed and he's appearing suddenly next to Blaze about a minute later with the crossbow in hand and offering it to him.]

Hope I'm not late.

[Blaze was only briefly caught off guard, quickly looking to his side but the relief on his face was apparent when he saw David. Blaze gave him an appreciate nod, taking the crossbow with his free hand.]

Not at all. Thank you for the help.

[Between the efforts of his Pokemon team and the extra aura boost from Ayame before she left, the situation at the Attleton subarchway seemed managable. He took a once over of the crossbow, and on the inside he was a little concerned due to his lack of training, but now wasn't the time to doubt it.]

Ask and you shall receive...[Ildikó smiles at him. she's not pleased with the spirits but this is the srt of acton she needed to blow blow some steam. She's holding a pistol crossbow, her other hand busy with a shield and the last two carrying a Warhammer. Having four arms sure comes in handy in this type of situations.]

I'm heading to the archway as we speak. I was in Fayren because that's were most spirits showed up but is also where more people is fighting them.

Curious pets you've got there. What's your name?

[Normally, seeing someone with four arms would catch him off guard, but he can't afford to let himself get distracted for anything. He gives her a nod, the faintest of smiles appearing on his lips for a brief moment before his serious face is back on.]

[Especially when he's Normal McNoPowers compared to every other Guardian in the place.]

[ For the fact that they are fully under attack and all in grave danger, Cassian is looking perfectly calm. Relaxed, even, on the verge of what counts as cheerful for him. ]

I'm currently still in Genessia City, I was at the awards... ceremony. [ Let's not call it nonsense on a public channel, that's a bit ungrateful even by his standards. ] I'll be making my way back to the archway and Attleton, but it could take me a while to get there, depending on what the situation on the streets is. But I'll get there eventually, and I'll pick up any Attleton residents I come across on the way.

[If anything, Cassian's calm demeanor tells Blaze that this is a guy who knows a thing or two about the whole 'leadership' role. A level head is always necessary for these situations, and that's something Blaze certainly appreciates.]

[ Mortal danger is actually a lot easier to navigate than social situations, though the kind of danger is all new to him. ]

[That was a sentiment Blaze could probably share. Such was the life of a soldier.]

If I did something to upset whatever controls this world, I'd love for it to let me know so Attleton can actually get a breather for a while.

[Blaze, of course, barely knows what a breather is when the longest break he had during the Circum-Pacific War was two weeks. Absurd operations so close together were the norm. ... even if the closest thing he ever got to spirits being involved happened to be his "Ghost" nickname.]

I can't say I was trained to fight spirits either, but be careful. I can have Sandslash rendezvous with you if you want an escort.

[He can't really spare the man power - or Poke power in this case - but he still needs to look out for other people wherever he can. Covering for Attleton residents is kind of his duty here.]

No, use your troops on the archway. I'll be fine once I have adjusted from fighting Stormtroopers to... spirits. It's just... [ Cassian heaves a heavy, disgruntled sigh. ] I hate magic. [ It's nothing but a headache. This is the kind of stuff you should only have to deal with when you went to Everglade or Fayren. Oh well. Gotta suck it up. It could be worse, could be another Death Star. ] I should just start bringing my pokemon everywhere I go, lesson learnt.

[ Easier said than done since he refuses to use pokeballs, and his team still lacks basic discipline. They're also an espionage team, and no more prepared to battle spirits from beyond than he is but... Nothing to be done about that now. ]

Next time there's an invasion, I hope it's Stormtroopers. I'm beginning to miss regular human soldiers trying to shoot me dead.

[Was that dry humor? Yeah. As dry as an arid desert, but at least he's trying.]

As long as we can keep these things out of Attleton, we shouldn't have any trouble. Can I call on you if that situation changes?

[He's confident that it won't, but it's never a bad idea to have a backup plan in case things go south.]

[He can't help but laugh slightly. It was hard to tell if he did wish he could or not. Answer, probably did.]

Sure, barriers are a thing I am doing anyway, just in case.

Well, it was worth asking.

[The dry quips did at least lift a little tension from the situation. If he can afford to make them, then he knows he hasn't let the stress of it cloud his mind.]

I worked as Everglade Guardian, this is actually a lot less work than what I did during that year. No matter how much you give me.

[He says it jokingly, but there was a hint of the truth in it.]

Good to know it won't be any trouble. I'm not sure if I can imagine a scenario that would be worse than guarding Everglade.

[Not that he's personally made a trip to that city outside of one bounty that he did with Dante, buuut he's content with leaving it at that.]
