[Chiaki had seen about the safe house, but because of the way things were she really hadn't a clue as to where to go through all the commotion. So instead she had found a spot to hide in before switching the feed on. She clearly looked worried as she spoke.]

I had been on the way to get to safety, but... I kind of got lost and don't even know where I am or where any of my friends are. So can someone please come help me and also... can my friends let me know they are okay.

[There wasn't much to it as she switches off the feed.]

Action - Genessia
[Chiaki had gone to move from her hiding spot, knowing that sticking around may not be the best idea. Keep moving, keep moving and hope that nothing bad happens. As she slowly turns the corner she finds herself freezing. It seemed to be one of those mutated spirits dead ahead.

She moved to step back, planning on going the other way when once again she found another of those spirits. It was nerving when you were surrounding. It was absolutely terrifying.]

[If the devices leave some kind of ID, she'll recognize this as Ted, who she's talked to once or twice before. Sure doesn't look like him though. His breathing is uneven and heavy; clearly he's been having a rough few days. Coffee helped.]

Yes; ping your location and I'll come get you, then deposit you in the nearest safehouse.

[Chiaki wasn't exactly sure how one pings locations on this device, but so long as she was sitting still for the time being, she was happy to figure it out. It was a little while before she managed.]

I think I did it.

Just because Ted was on his way doesn't mean that Chikai would be safe. And lo and behold this was the case. Even with the tracking its doubtful Ted would arrive in time to be the big damn hero this time.

Fortunately Koishi had that covered.

As the first creature noticed Chikai and turned a red lance of energy marked the beast before exploding in a jagged wave strong enough to crack the pavement. Chikai might feel the edges of the lance. Pain, fear, anguish. All the worst parts of the human psyche manifested in a single strike.

The spirit screeched fell back, looking up at the source of the strike, momentarily distracted. The sound, of course, attracted the full attention of the second spirit which was then promptly struck with a blast of purple magic from above that... smelled like roses? Yes. Roses.

"No! Both of you leave! That's not yours!"

Already magical brambles and roses were growing up around the spirits, trying to ensnare or drive them back, Koishi flying down next to defend Chikai. Her left eye had gone completely black from the strain of the psychic lance, some of the nerve damage visible.

"Are you okay, Miss?"

On the bright side there was now someone there who could defend her. On the other hand both of them were now angry...

Chiaki really had no idea what exactly was going on, all she was aware of was this whole situation was rather scary and she couldn't help but feel fear over it. She looked back and froth between the two and suddenly jumped when something else happened.

She was surprised to say the least and really had no idea of what was going on until she finally saw the person.

"I-I'm fine." She paused if only for a moment. "Thank you."

And he's off! The picosecond Chiaki's ping gets through, he's darting through the city streets and picking off what spirits get in the way. It wasn't as fast a trip as he liked. He can't touch them, so instead he must wrap his threads delicately around them, then snap them up into the void. He's getting better, but it would never be as efficient as a simple sword slice or shot to the...whatever these things had for heads.

A single black thread lances across the dark forest grounds, before a shrouded figure emerges from it, defying all known laws of physics. Ta-da! Here he is, Chiaki: Your knight in black, ragged armor. They can argue aesthetics later.

"Chiaki? It's all right; time to come out now." His sight would get to him eventually, noticing the familiar green fairy.

"Oh, glad you're here too Koishi. Any more in the area? Let's away if not." If there weren't, more would follow Ted's arrival. He's a very emotional man.

"You're welcome!" Koishi darted upward a little bit, growing the brambles a bit more and bowing her head, sending another jagged lance of thought at the spirit. Chiaki could really feel that one. It was beyond unsettling, scratching at the negative feelings of her psyche.

But still, it was by far the lesser evil when considering what that spirit could do.

The other spirit was more entangled in the magical brambles, but it was slowly wiggling its spindly body free...

"Ah! Miss there's something-" She paused."Ohh! It's Mister Spades! Hello there!" You're not avoiding this hug, Ted. A giant, cuddly youkai-hug. Fortunately, it didn't last long.

"Mister Spades, please bring the nice miss somewhere safe, okay?" Despite her bright smile, that darkened eye was more than a little unnerving. "I can unravel these spirits on my own."

Chiaki felt unnerved and scared, but considering the situation she did put it down to this whole situation as a whole more than anything. Scratching her arm lightly, she wasn't very sure of what else to do. Not much she could do either really.

"I know there is a safe house, I was heading there anyway." Though she did wait until after they were having there chat to pipe in. After all they seemed to know each other and it seemed rude otherwise.

[Now he remembers; this is the girl who's been so affable to Sync. Well, that just makes things more pleasant, then, which is desperately needed in such an unpleasant time. He valiantly endures the youkai hug.]

"A good gambit; in fact, Chiaki, if you're willing to bear some discomfort, I can get you there expediently. Will you please me and trust me and endure some short darkness? It won't be very long, and will make your journey all the swifter."

Despite his congeniality, Ted would try and force her anyway if she refused. But there's no need to raise her hairs and make things any more dramatic; that would get the spirit's malicious intention all the more. Might as well be polite.

[He got the sense that Chiaki was tech-savvy enough to figure it out if she didn't know already. He breathes a relieved sigh once he gets the signal.]

Good girl. When you have time, keep doing that so I'll know where your location is. Stay calm and stoic; I'll be there shortly.

[He meant that very literally, for the spirits are drawn to emotion. Being calm in Chiaki's situation is vital. Fortunately, Ted happily assumes she's just as emotionally blank as her voice is, so it shouldn't be too much trouble.]
