Flug had agreed with Black Hat that traveling the city and stealing emotions would be a valuable experiment. The obvious issue was the fact he had to hang onto the emotions while spirits roamed the cities and the cities own champions were out and about. Heroes would make the experiment more difficult but they could also be useful. After all, one of them would have to know how to turn him back. The emotionless doctor pondered between his attacks if he even wanted to be returned to how he was. He hadn't experienced a day without being scared and now he went days without feeling it at all. The emptiness was much like hunger, a gnawing of his insides demanding to be filled. At least it wasn't like the time he had been hungry but would only find sandwich shops. How he hated sandwiches.
Eating and drinking were still a necessity for him, of course. He wasn't undead. Sleep was just as important as it was before, meaning he slept maybe two to three hours before he moved on from his hiding spot. He moved from city to city, using his amulet to travel as he needed. Best to keep moving as to avoid unneeded confrontations. The man was a doctor, not a warrior. Sure he could stab a spirit until it disappeared and pocket the flower inside but that didn't take much effort or skill. The real challenge came from attempting to touch those with emotions he wanted. He just needed enough to feel the gnawing disappear and then he would make his escape. He couldn't fight but he could run. It was an easy enough procedure to follow; meet his basic needs,
find test subject, steal emotions, flee, repeat until caught. He wasn't sure what would happen if he was captured but he would simply cross that line when he came to it. He had an experiment to focus on.
No need to get distracted by the details.

She spotted Dr. Flug first, drifting down in front of him, floating upside down. Her left eye was completely black from the ongoing psychic strain of combat and, for once, she was completely visible, her third eye open a sliver.
"Mister! Hey! What are you doing just out? It's really-" She paused frowning a little. "Ah... Oh. Wait. They already got you..."
no subject
"Yes. And I was wondering if you could help me with something. An experiment," He moved surprisingly fast. He drew the spirit knife he received from David Haller and moved to try and press the blade against Koishi. It wasn't a stab or slash, just the flat of the blade. No need to harm the victim for the first test. He just wanted to observe the effects of basic touch.
no subject
"Umm... Mister. I know I'm kind of floating and kind of creepy, but I'm not an empty spirit like those other things are. So you don't have to attack me."
If he kept trying to press the knife against her she wouldn't stop him this time, though she had very little exposed skin. Just her face, shins, and hands (though her sleeves were covering them.) She also had her third eye but it was a small target and surprisingly agile.
no subject
"Now, will you assist me?"
no subject
She sat back in the air, her third eye swaying from side to side. "But killing me wont actually help me. And I'm not human so whatever the knife does, if it was meant for people, probably wont work on me either."
Koishi you're bad at answering questions.
no subject
He managed to ward off some of the spirits -not to kill them since he lacks magic abilities- when he spots Flug. It's not difficult, not many people walk around with a bag over their head.]
You need be be careful.
no subject
I am being careful. ...May I conduct an experiment on you? [Both sentences come out of him devoid of any emotions. Nothing but clinical explanation followed by a clinical request.]
no subject
No. There's no time for that.
no subject
[Fine. Unwilling it is. Flug pulls out the knife and charges K2O. Time to see how a robot reacts to an emotion stealing blade. Surely this is going to be a very informative experiment.]
no subject
You're not acting like yourself.
[Thank you, captain obvious.]
no subject
You are correct. I have been improved.

[So much sarcasm in one simple word. Whatever is happening to Flug, he wouldn't call it an improvement. Not when the other man is trying to stab him.
Then again, Flug had helped others to try to kill Rebels before, so this shouldn't be a big surprise. He glances at the blade briefly, calculates it's unlikely to cut any important circuit or metal cable, and then gives Flung a hard stare.]
Did Black Hat do this to you?
