A pretty upsetting time

Ok, this was a problem.

Louise kept smacking herself, but it wasn't a dream, and THAT made no sense. Why was she in some kind of cave, with a jewel in one hand, a smartphone in the other. Her head made her reel, and reaching for some kind of respite, she just found her light up doll Kuchi Kopi, looking as bemused as always.

"Ok Kuchi, we can't be in our dumb moron town right now: this place looks WAY too put together, and I haven't seen so much as one slack jawed dope. Also, I came out of a coffin, so. Yeah. We probably need to start interrogations. Looks like I'll have to be the bad cop again."

Right, humor. That should help, right?

A child? They were even bringing children here? Well, there was a housing for children, so she shouldn't be so surprised. It was just good that she didn't come when all of the spirits were out and about at the very least. She was actually coming home from work when she passed by The Bay. She may not know much herself right now, having just come here as well no that long ago, but she can certainly try to help her out.

She approached the girl slowly as to not scare her. She didn't mean any harm, after all. "Did you just arrive?" she asked lightly, showing concern.

Did Louise spook easily? No, not usually, but it was a pretty unusual day when you woke up in a strange place with some half cocked (but very impressive) hologram. She jumped, then appeared to reign in her addled state. "Yeah, something like that. You're a really weird figment of my imagination though. Usually I just imagine stuffed animals or people I already know, not someone who looks like they wouldn't step foot in my town without getting shots." She was definitely NOT real, right?

It's understandable how anyone could be spooked upon waking up here. It was certainly a strange appearance and it was still pretty new for her as well.

Even though she shouldn't laugh at that considering she's been in range for so many shots that it wasn't even funny, she can't help the small chuckle coming from her lips, "Unfortunately this place, and me as well, are real. It's a strange concept for sure though. Although I have to say, being a field medic does clearly put me in the line of danger more than you could ever imagine."

Quite... literally.... She really did enjoy being chased around by a Genji all of the time... Really....

Louise looked at the woman cockeyed a moment, then chuckled. "Ha! You had me going for a moment! I mean, think about it: why bring some kid into some weird place where you start out life in a coffin and then get told you're in some world where you have to get a job and an apartment! I mean, I'm nine! Just saying it outloud sounds dumb! I mean come on, holograms? That's so nineties, we can stream now!"

"This is unfortunately the truth. It's hard to swallow, but I don't think you should have to worry about getting a job or an apartment. There is a place that's open for children who come here. I've read that they get a monthly allowance and the lodging is free. I'm glad to see the others taken here have opened up a home for children though. I can't imagine young kids having to work to keep an apartment after all. It's just not right," she has a lot of thoughts on the matter if it had been the other way around.

"I do hear that there are a lot of people from different worlds though. Many different ways of life that maybe technology isn't normal for them otherwise. There are multiple cities here though that keep different kinds of people in mind as far as housing," she shrugged.

Louise's carefree demeanor was getting VERY hard to maintain now.

"B-but why? Why bring people here, or children here to some building? What am I supposed to do, sing with them about having a hard knocked life? And what do you mean other worlds? I'm supposed to believe this because some hologram told me to?"

Louise's voice trembled a little. "W-who would even do that?"

It was only natural for her to be scared. Mercy didn't want to frighten her, but she was going to have to face this eventually. It was best to just get it out of the way as soon as possible.

He slight smile fell though, "I honestly don't know why we were brought here; nobody seems to have a clear answer to that yet. The motive for bringing us here is unclear as well. I had wondered if it was to combat the spirits a few days back, but now that they're gone, I'm not so sure.

"I know it's not easy to accept, but there are people here that can help you. I'm getting used to this place yet myself. I only came about a week ago and things were pretty hectic. I know it's probably not much help, but I'll try to help you out as best as I can," she paused for a moment to offer her hand, "My name is Angela Ziegler, but my friends back home called me Mercy sometimes. Feel free to use either name; I answer to both."

Jag normally did his best to avoid the Bay. It creeped him out, and after all the things that had happened recently, the psychic had trouble thinking it was a good idea to go outside at all. Still, he had to work, and that's actually what he was on the way to do now, when he heard a voice, even though he was not walking anywhere near the Bay. His visions just worked that way sometimes. Someone needed help...or maybe it was that she'd needed help, or she'd show up later that day, or the next week, needing help. Either way, he diverted his path there.

Hey, look at that. The little girl in the bunny hat was there now. Jag's own hair was tucked under a beanie of dubious cleanliness (but we all have unnatural attachments to headgear here, right?), and he smiled kindly enough when he laid eyes on the girl.

"Hey," his voice was soft, and he was definitely British. "No need for interrogations, love. I'll answer whatever ya want. Promise." He raised a fingerless-gloved hand in a wave as he stepped further into the cave, but kept his distance from the lake...thing. It's way over there. He doesn't have to worry about it, even though water scares him. Don't ask. "I'm Jag. Ya know, like the car."

Louise looked up. Hmm. This guy was setting off creep vibes, but he didn't LOOK creepy. Anyway, she didn't have a weapon yet just in case, so she might as well humor him. It was definitely better than walking around knowing nothing, and she was gradually accepting she has nowhere else to go.

"Right. Jag? I hope they don't make fun of you too much for the name. So, let's start with the basics: where the heck am I right now?"

Jagger cracked a smile at her commentary. She was a tough one. He'd met a few like her in the orphanage he'd grown up in, actually.

Of course, the smile didn't last too long, replaced with a frown of apology before he even spoke again.

"Yeah, 'bout that. They call this place Genessia. Nobody really knows why the brought us here. It's a lot more normal outside this place, though."

"Is it? So if I left this place, full of holograms and people yelling their heads off because they first got here, what am I going to find. Because buddy, I am hearing stories, and they do not sound promising."

Chiaki was walking her Pokemon, Eevee was right by her leg while Bulbasaur and Mimikyu were slightly on ahead exploring and checking things out. Chiaki looked around trying to figure out where she needed to go next.

Instead, she ended up near the Bay instead. She didn't quite understand why it happened sometimes, but it did.

As she looked around Mimikyu was the first to spot the new arrival and had come on over. So have a Pokemon that looks like it's wearing a sheet to look like a Pikachu staring.

Louise looked down and saw...a pocket monster. NO WAY.

"Hey little...uh, guy? What are you up to? You don't want to be hanging around here. Hell, I don't want to be hanging around here. You probably have a...trainer, I guess?"

Mimikyu soon turned around. Yep, it's trainer was nearby as Chiaki soon stopped for a moment as it swayed slightly.

"Ah, I was wondering where you had gone off to." She smiled slightly before looking at the new arrival. "Hello, I guess my friend took a liking."

"Yeah, he's a funny little guy. I mean, I've seen pocket monsters collected but I don't think I've ever seen one like him. Of course, pocket monsters aren't supposed to actually exist in the really real world, but..."

She waved her hand at the remaining Pokemon by Chiaki. "...So much for that."

"I know, but in this world, they seem to appear and then vanish after a few weeks, except select ones."

Which honestly, she was more than happy about. It was always nice to be able to keep friends close, or at least around never the less. With her hands gently in front of her, she was making sure everyone was okay.

"Are you looking to go somewhere?"

"That's pretty unsettling," Louise said. "Any idea why they come and go?" She'd have to explore all this stuff eventually. "Yeah, this kids place that doesn't require a job that everyone seems so keep talking about."

She shakes her head slightly. It had only happened once to her for the most part since she arrived and she honestly didn't think to ask.

"I don't know, but maybe asking others might help."

She paused as she looked around. "I believe I know where that is if you want to follow me."

Futaba was actually messing around with the hologram because things had calmed down and she wanted to see if she could hack it. So Louise is going to hear a different, robotic voice coming from the hologram, showing a strange figure instead of Weiss.

"Oh~ Sounds like fun. Don't forget to let me in on this," granted it would help if she knew just who was talking to her right now. She should take this more seriously -- considering she was just there not too long ago herself -- but she was taking a more easy going approach. "It's not easy to fake a death after all"

"What the-?!"

Ok, great, so now there weren't just talking holograms and different worlds, now there were also hackers?

"What about death? Who's dying? No dying here, nope, we are SO living! I have a gun!"

That was a lie, but weird, hacky voice didn't know that, did they?

"That you know of. I mean, we woke up in a coffin like pod right?" she may be over-doing it but it's amusing her. She... doesn't buy that gun threat... and it's not going to do any good here anyways.

"I highly doubt that's true," she responded back, "Still, it seems like we're alive now."

"Yeah, but I'm going to assume if I were going to end up anywhere, it wouldn't just be in some weird cave with holograms and voices that don't want to answer simple questions."

Or NOT freak a little girl out.

"Won't know until you show up, will you?" Louise taunted.

"Kid, I do this as a hobby. Maybe you'll see me in person someday. I guess until then, I'll see you on the flip side," she said, but then paused before letting go of the control over the hologram, "Alibaba out!"

Right after the hologram will return to normal, but she herself will be nearby. It seems Futaba was watching from a distance, but said nothing to "casually slip in". It was a few minutes before she really chimed in, "Wow, that was something."

"What..." Louise stared, dumbfounded, and then the hologram returned. "Well that happened, for some reason. At least I know some people have super high tech ways of wasting their time."

If Louise was truly being honest to herself, it was EXACTLY the kind of thing she would do if she had the power. She just would be a little less vague.

"Whoa!" She had not seen her there. "Give me a heart attack! Yeah, something odd as hell. When did you get here?"

Who wouldn't do that sort of thing, if they were given the chance though? She is a Phantom Thief after all, she's all about secrets.

"Mmmm... Not for long. I wasn't expecting the hologram to be taken over though," she shrugged, playing it off as nothing.
