A pretty upsetting time

Ok, this was a problem.

Louise kept smacking herself, but it wasn't a dream, and THAT made no sense. Why was she in some kind of cave, with a jewel in one hand, a smartphone in the other. Her head made her reel, and reaching for some kind of respite, she just found her light up doll Kuchi Kopi, looking as bemused as always.

"Ok Kuchi, we can't be in our dumb moron town right now: this place looks WAY too put together, and I haven't seen so much as one slack jawed dope. Also, I came out of a coffin, so. Yeah. We probably need to start interrogations. Looks like I'll have to be the bad cop again."

Right, humor. That should help, right?

"Oh, sweet! Devices. So they're like police that actually protect you. Ok, new concept, but that works." That would take some getting used to, of course. "I'm a little curious about this fantasy world place. I mean, what's it got? Elves? Orcs? Women with ridiculous dresses, that kind of stuff?"

"They try their best anyway."

She nodded slightly, she was already turning on her heels to start walking.

"I believe so. I mean there is magic there. So...maybe it really is like things like dungeons and dragons." A game she never really played at all.

"Ok, so that's what they're 'supposed' to do, sure. Ok." That DID make them like most cops, so no help there. "What, like the game with the dice rolls and the nerds and stuff? No thanks. I'm a kid, but I can't live on cheetos dust and failure."

"Yes, though I guess there are plenty of other fantasy games I could have used as an example."

As she walked, she started to think about where she was heading in the first place.

"Also you don't live off Cheeto dust and failure. it's just the setting of the city and how it is. It's not a game just used the type of setting as an example."

"Right, but that's the one with all the fantasy stuff in it."

Louise stopped and just looked at her.

"You know, maybe our worlds don't share the same jokes. I was kidding. You're gonna have to keep up with humor when I'm around. Jokes!"

"I'm sorry. I'm a gamer myself. I should really get the jokes sometimes." Most of the time they probably go right over her head for the most part. Also because she is not that use to them.

"Though I've not play D&D personally. More video games."

[geez_louise]

"Hey, I have a pretty intense sense of humor. You'll get used to it."

If not, Louise would have to tone herself down. HA.

"Yeah, me too. Well, I would if we could afford video games."

"I'm sure in a few months you'll be able to. In my case since I'm a professional, I sometimes get some things for free. Not that often though, but on that rare occasion I go to something to test a new game or something."

It was rather fun going to those things if she had to be honest. Even if they were rare. "Also we have an arcade here that should be slightly more affordable."

"Free is good. I like that. You're a professional...of these guys, right? I think, or I'm gonna guess, you get them to fight other ones?"

Whoa. Back up.

"I'm sorry, you said something that piqued my interest. Tell me more about this wondrous arcade place."

"I am and I do go up against others." She thinks there is something coming up, which she had to remind herself of again.

She stopped walking again as her pokemon were quick to catch on and went back to her before they wandered off.

"The arcade? it's in Nova City....It also has a matchmaking thing attached to it for some reason... I don't quite understand it."

[geez_louise]

"They do look like tough little guys. Hey, let me know when you guys next fight. I might want to take a look."

Louise stopped.

"Wait, what was that about matchmaking?"

She nodded slightly, placing a finger gently against her chin for the time being.

"The whole business is like a two in one. They are separate I will add, so I have nothing to do with the matchmaking side of things, but it is within the same building."

Louise shook her head. "Weird. But hey, people have their own way of doing things." Louise reminded herself never to get married. Or date.

"They do, though I don't know who the original owner of the business was." She was admittedly a little curious about that. But had no clue who to even ask.

"But it's not important, I guess to know."

[geez_louise]

"Nah, probably not. I mean, not unless you're worried about ghosts or something. But that's if you even believe in those."

Which Louise sure was NOW, because if you could have a place that had monsters and vampires and wolves, how were ghosts that far of a stretch?

"Ghosts do exist in this world though. In everglade anyway." She paused looking around for a moment.

"I think I need to head off this way, which I think is not where you need to go."

[geez_louise]

"Yeah, like I said, not surprised," Louise said, shaking her head. "I kinda want to know why some places are better than others."

Louise looked interested. "Huh? Where are you headed?"

"Who knows really>" She said turning the corner "I am headed to a shop near by then I have to head to work."

Louise shrugged.

"Ok. I guess I'll see you later?"

She nodded, waving slightly before she started to make her way off.
