[After a lot of button smashing, Gaston unwittingly managed to turn the smart phone onto video function. Everyone gets a very confused looking dark haired man wearing a red military jacket. It takes him a few seconds longer to realize it's working and clears his throat before speaking. He continues to hold the small smart phone clumsily in his hands.]

Is this thing working? I was told that this strange device can allow me to communicate to others here.

Can someone point me to where a soldier can get a good drink and a reliable job? If there's one thing I don't like--it's being idle.

[Belle is holding the device like it's a mirror, showing the beautiful curve of her face but little else behind her.]

Gaston. [She breathes his name with a heavy sign. She is happy to see someone from her home but Gaston is hardly the easiest to handle. A million questions fill her thoughts but only one manages to make it's way to her lips.]

Do you have recent word of my father?

[Belle has been here for a few months and she's worried about him. She can't not be.]

[Ah, now there was a familiar face he wasn't expecting to see. He couldn't help but smile, but that quickly faded at the question of her father. Always so narrow minded...]

I see. I should apologize. [Not for slamming the door in his face but for insisting for news of her father before any standard pleasantries. Belle is stubborn but she doesn't intend to be rude and it's polite to first greet someone, even if you'd rather not.] Good day Gaston.

I've been here for a few months now. I don't fully understand it myself but...

[Her lips tug into a soft frown.]

[Dorian can appreciate the confusion over the strange device, certainly. He's smiling amicably enough when his own feed initializes.]

Congratulations! Yes, it is, indeed, working. I can certainly point you in the direction of reliable fair, but as for a job, well, that depends on your qualifications. What did you do as a soldier?

[Because they have different jobs, don't they? Ah, but then he looks disappointed in himself and waves a hand.] Nevermind that and forgive my lack of manners. [He places a hand over his breast and bows slightly, as though they were in person.] I am Dorian of House Pavus. A pleasure, I'm sure.

[Oh wait someone was talking with him. Gaston gave a nod and looked more relieved to know that this device was indeed working and that there were others out there. It was still weird and a hard idea to accept.]

Thank you for responding so quickly. I was captain of my men and we worked hard to keep our village safe from being raided.

It is an honor to meet you, Dorian. I appreciate the advice you have given me. My name is Gaston.

[He gave a slight bow in return, vaguely remembering his manners. He wasn't home any longer and he was going to have to be careful.]

[It's always kind of funny to see new comers that don't fully understand the devices. Ah well. Gaston's device will get the directions to two different places, one in Genessia City and the other in Nova City before the cyborg appears on screen with a wave. Don't mind the purple glowing lines on his neck.]

Hangar Queen and After Life are always ideal for drinks. Both places currently have 'em all on discount for the next two weeks too.

Just about anywhere 'round here can be a reliable job, so it depends on what you wanna do. You could even find work at one of the above if you're good at bartending or throwing people on their faces for misbehaving. Or you could hit the Schnee building and see if anything they show there catches your fancy.

[Unfortunately, the purple glowing lines hold Gaston's attention. He tried his best not to openly stare as it certainly wasn't normal. At least he can congratulate himself for not openly commenting on it. Eventually, he'll notice the directions when he decides to look for them. Or he might not.]

I know how to make a few drinks, but I doubt they would meet to this worlds standards...perhaps I could learn. It's easy enough to throw someone out. [Gaston couldn't help but smirk. He's done that on more then one occasion.]

[Gaston couldn't help himself. He stared back in confusion and horror. What's that about finesse? He had never seen anything like the creature talking to him now and never even had a chance to prepare himself for such an encounter.]

There's plenty of bar and taverns across all the five cities. The Velvet Lust Bar is a good place to go for a drink. It's in Genessia City.

As for a job, you should go to the Employment building, it's also in Genessia. The device you have in your hands must have a map of all the cities.

[Gaston was finding this place to be a very huge culture shock. He was meeting all sorts of strange people or beings....he wasn't sure what they were. Sometimes he wondered if this was some bizarre dream he was having.

Before he could even process the information given to him, he wanted to know what was talking to him. Pleasantries were forgotten.]

[ While the uniform is unfamiliar, it's easy to recognize it as one even before Gaston mentions being a soldier, and that catches Cassian's attention for sure. ]

I would recommend the Velvet Lust in Genessia for a drink; the steaks are good as well. If you'd like to keep to a familiar field one of the open positions in security should suit you. Schnee Company is always looking for security for the welcome centers, I used to work in the Nova City office, and I believe some bars are looking as well. There's also a bodyguard agency, though I don't know if they're looking right now.

Reliable job. [She paused for a moment.] It depends on what kind of thing you want to do. You mentioned you were a soldier, but there aren't that many types of jobs, security in clubs and such can be one option. Bounty Hunter is another.

What a noob. That device is called a smart phone, although I suppose I can excuse you. You look like you're from a completely different era as me. It allows you to contact people, no matter how far away they are to you through voice or text; although I suppose people tend to use Facetime more than anything else here.

[Disregarding before he asks to move onto his questions.]

I'm pretty new here myself, but I live above a bar if you're willing to go to Nova City for that. I'm sure there are plenty of bars and pubs around here though. [She's assuming that's what he means.] I would think a soldier could find a job here easily though. Sorry, I'm not quite sure where to look for that, but I'm sure there are others here who can point you in the right direction.

[Gaston can't help but appear even more confused at some of the explanations. He did understand that the device seemed to be more familiar with that person's world. She seemed to know a lot about it.]

What does Facetime mean? I just barely got this thing to turn on. We don't have anything like this at home. If you wanted to communicated to the person--you visited them at their home, or the tavern, or you wrote a letter.

I will be sure to add Nova City to my list to explore. Enough people have left some suggestions for jobs, your help is appreciated.
