[A young man appears on screen wearing a blue/gold military uniform. He wears a white powdered wig that covers his long brown hair tied underneath. He appeared to be at ease with using the device, having taken the time to read the instructions and figure it out. He addressed the audience as if he were standing before his crew and spoke in a clear tone.]

My name is Admiral James Norrington. I work under the East Trading Company and have had many years of experience working for the British Navy. I just recently arrived. I don't have many questions, most answers I've managed to learn already. I would however, like to offer my services and do the best to help those in need. I saw that you had been recently under attack.

I suppose the one question I have is to ask-- is who are the people in charge here when it comes to gathering aide? What has been done in the past? I appreciate any information you have to provide. Thank you.

Eleanor had just been kidnapped away from being captive on a British Navy ship, the Navy showing up here is the last thing she needs. And of all the Navy officers in the world, why one she has run into before?

Time to put on her best polite smile, and get some answers. ]

I'm afraid I can't help you with any of these questions, sir, I'm still trying to find my own answers. It's so good to have a representative of the East India Trading Company here, but you're a long way from Port Royal.

[The comment earned a sneer from Norrington, otherwise his expression was completely neutral. ]

I may be working with the East India Trading Company, but it doesn't mean I haven't forgotten. I will be keeping an eye on you--Queen of Thieves. You won't be building your little empire here.

[ So much for playing nice. Eleanor's polite smile gives way to a snarl, her body language poised to leap through the screen at him. ]

I see I'm hard to forget, Admiral. If you're so concerned with who is building empires, maybe I should tell the friendly locals about the one you support, and all its petty cruelties.

Now that we are no longer hiding under false pretenses. This is an improvement.

[He can't help but smirk in response.]

That is hardly the case. We are bringing law and order. Your people are the ones trying to tear it apart.

[ An improvement? If making her want to throttle him is one, then yes. ]

Bringing law and order! [ She scoffs. ] I didn't ever need you to bring law and order to Nassau, I did that just fine on my own! All it takes is a strong hand and a stronger will, whether the one in charge wears uniform or not. Men are best controlled by their purse strings anyway.

[Norrington spoke in a soft, dark tone as he glared back at her. He shouldn't have allowed her comments to hit him hard, but they had. He was only reminded of Elizabeth accusing him of her father's death and his betrayal to them by siding with Beckett.]

You know nothing of what you're talking about. You better watch the water you're treading.

Or what? [ Once again she can only wish she were talking face to face to him, this device may be practical, but it is also endlessly frustrating. ] Tell me, Admiral, what will you do if I don't mind my tongue? Are you going to have me hanged from the gallows? You have no authority here!

[ She slumps back, scowling. ]

And neither do I. We'll both have to be satisfied with threats for now.

I may not be able to act on anything, but it won't keep me from watching what you're doing.

[With that comment, Norrington ended the feed in a huff.]

I'm afraid there is a dearth of ships here, Admiral. [ Have a French accented vampire who looks like a young girl. ]

Those charged with the protection of these realms are the Guardians and their deputies.

[Norrington gave a wary sigh. He was not fond of dealing with the French and much to his dismay they had to be represented here too.]

I am quite aware of the fact that there aren't many ships here. I do not need a ship to help those in need.

[The woman who answer Norrington has two more arms than what's considered average but aside form that, she looks perfectly normal.]

What a brave, selfless man. We don't have a lot of admirals around here but we have a few pirates.

To answer your question, the ones in charge are the Guardian of each city and their deputies. We are currently having elections, if I were you I'd wait to know which way the wind is blowing.

[The fact that she has two other arms doesn't phase Norrington. He had seen a lot in his time serving the Navy. It would have to take a lot more to shock him.]

A few pirates? I will be sure to note this. There isn't a pirate that goes by the name of Sparrow is there?

Is there more you can tell me that's going on with the elections? I would like to research.

[That's good. People who has seen strangest things than her are the kind of people she likes to talk with.]

It's not exactly a political election, a Guardians's duty is to ensure that the people under their care is safe and treated fairly. There are debates going on and public posts, you could check them to get an idea of what each candidate has in mind.

What's your world like?

As long as they don't start trouble.... Sparrow is hardly a friend of mine.

[Norrington became more passionate as he did his best to describe his world. He found it difficult to summarize.]

My world?...There's quite a lot to discuss about it. There are so many different cultures that make our world diverse and lands left untouched. Yet...it's getting to be less and less as the land is claimed.

[There's a good boy.]

Honestly, given at people here can not leave or do anything out of the ordinary with the money we get, it's not as if pirates are doing anything bad but be pirates. They're not sinking ships or stealing from people. In fact, they help out when a crisis strikes.

He's an enemy then. Might I ask what he did to you?

[Passionate is good. She likes people who enjoy life.]

A whole world to explore. Is that why you joined the navy?

If the pirates are helping and not doing anything illegal then that you have a point.

The story of Jack Sparrow is for another time.

As for being part of the navy, I enjoy being able to explore and learning what the world has to offer.

[Kay doesn't know what the British navy is exaclty but he knows the military very well, so he's interested.]

Did you arrive with a ship, by chance?

I wish I had arrived with a ship. I was told there weren't many here.

Oh. [Kay sounds a bit disappointed.] There aren't any, even fi we are trying to build one. The barriers stop us from going very far but it would still be nice to have a ship to fly around.

Oh...the ships you are referring to can fly? The one I'm used to sails on water.

Yes, they can travel across the sky and off planet. We use them for Interstellar travel.

Here, there's no one of those ships but you shouldn't have much trouble finding ones that sail on water.

Fascinating. I wonder if my world will come to that point.

There's always the possibility to build your own ship as you see fit but you need resources and money for that.

[While the man on the other end of the communicator is dressed rather well, he isn't, as such, wearing a uniform. He smiles amicably enough, though, and raises a hand in greeting.]

Well met, Admiral. I'm afraid I'm unfamiliar with this "India", east or west, let alone any trading company it may boast, but that is of little consequence, given the current circumstances, wouldn't you way?

I am Dorian of House Pavus, Altus Mage of the Tevinter Imperium. [Since we're using titles.] If you're looking to enlist, or volunteer, I would contact one of the Guardians, though we're in the midst of an election presently so you may want to hold off.

[Norrington gave a formal nod in return while keeping his face impassive. It was an old military habit he had a hard time letting go.]

It would seem that we are from two different worlds. Perhaps, you can explain a little bit about your title?

[He chuckles, partially because he's dealt with military leaders before and finds them a bit stuffy, and partially because it sounds a little futile.]

I certainly could, Admiral, but I fear it would do little to clarify things for you. Suffice to say, 'Altus' refers to a lot of complicated genealogy tracing back a few thousand years, and makes me a rather high-ranking individual in the Imperium. My father is also a Magister...was a Magister, in the Magisterium...something like a Senate, a seat I'll be returning to inherit, whenever this place sees fit to send me home.

[A smooth feminine voice echoes over the phone line.]

There are Guardian's in each city that protect those who arrive here. Elections are happening now in fact. I'm sure there is plenty you can do to help though you should first focus on settling yourself in.

Thank you for the information. I'm more curious about the elections. I'm used to adjusting to various lands.

I don't know too much about it except that we vote. They don't run the cities, there are mayors and other people for that but they try and protect people. Specifically us who arrive here since our rights are different between different worlds. Someone has to enforce some sort of law.

I agree, someone needs to enforce the law. I just hope it's done in a fair and justified way.

There's a time period in his long, long, long history he'd just as soon forget. It's not like most of the good Father's history with the British has ever been stellar, 1919 to 1921 in particular.

Things were pretty crap when the East India Trading Company was booming too.

T'would be easier to just label yourself vigilante number five hundred and eighty seven and take to the streets with a fake name and a mask, ye'll get more results that way in less of the time.

You look like a walking advert to me, but I guess different worlds and all count for different times too.

While, I appreciate your honest answer, I am not one to waste time and I prefer to get right to the point.

What information do you have to share of this world?

I guess if you want information about the world they have it at the welcome centre. They even can help you find work and housing along with information you might want.
