I know a lot of people have had various feelings about me in the past. However, Fayren has been uniquely open in its dealings with me, and those I care for. As such, I have an announcement of a sort to coincide with the Guardian election.
Fayren is under my protection. Any attempts to weaken it, or harm it will be met in kind. I do not care who you are, or what your station, if you harm Fayren, you answer to me. Not even our potential Guardians are exempt from this.

Well, I suppose that's one way to become a "Guardian" of sorts...

[Looking back at Yukiko's past campaign promise to remove the ever-effective security dolls because they creep her out.]
Re: Video;
That was exactly my reasoning.

[It's a little worrying.]
Re: Video
One candidate in particular - Yukiko Amagi - had expressed interest in removing a security measure that was responsible in large part for driving a terrorist organization out of the city proper because it was aesthetically displeasing to her.
That is my primary concern at the moment, but the sentiment does stand in general as well.

Re: Video
It won't. You have my word on that much.
[Unfortunately, fighting is 90% of what Mewtwo knows.]

I do hope to work with the incoming Guardian rather than against them. However, given one candidate's stance in the last election of stripping the town of the security dolls that have eliminated most, if not all, Death's Hand activity within the city because she finds them 'creepy', I decided to make the announcement.
I have no interest in the politics of humans, however this place is my home now. I do not intend to let anything jeopardize it.
[He's doing the best he can. He's not all that old and his socialization attempts have not been helpful.]

While she wasn't the candidate I voted for, I don't think she's wrong to have them removed and I do think it's more harmful to Fayren to keep it there. It feels like you're being watched, not like you're being protected.

There were zero complaints about the system filed under Satori's tenure as Guardian, and as far as I know, none were filed under Xander's time either. The complaints levied by Yukiko are about their appearance. Not function.
The Death's Hand cult is still at large, and believe me when I say I have intimate experience in dealing with organizations like this one. As soon as any weakness is shown - perceived or otherwise - they will come back in force. Unless you are suggesting I exercise my full power and simply erase the Death's Hand from existence by manipulating the thoughts and minds of all within Fayren to accept that it doesn't exist - even those currently a member of the organization - then they will always be a threat.
Nobody has made any formal complaints, they are serving their purpose, and the threat is still very much real. In fact, the only person to suggest that the populace is "terrified" of them to my knowledge is you. Just now.
[He sighs a bit.] I respect you, Weiss. But do not forget, I was made by a terrorist organization to be a weapon. I believe I am uniquely qualified to speak on the subject.

[Becasuse way to make it obvious in not private messages and bringing up something she hadn't even mentioned during this time. Her focus was on reaction times, making sure people can deal with injuries and of course making sure she can be out and about as much as possible.]
Yet the subject you are on about is not exactly something I cared about this time round, you and Alice are the ones making a huge deal about it.

[Never let it be said that Mewtwo doesn't hold grudges. Because hoo buddy does he.]
Then perhaps it would be beneficial for someone campaigning to take the safety of others into their hands to start caring about what stands between us and a terrorist organization.
video;
[She sighed slightly.]
And how long since anything about them has come to the surface? A year? There have been other things that we need to focus on that aren't a group that as far as we are aware have done nothing in that year. I know your argument will be because of the dolls, but I believe that isn't solely the reason.
At the end of the day I want to protect Fayren as much as anyone, but to focus on one thing that might never appear again and ignore everything else is not what a guardian is. That is not what you are if that one thing is your only argument.
video;
And yet single-handedly I erected and maintained a barrier that kept the denizens of the city safe from the invading spirits.
[You don't want to go down the one-upping route with Mewtwo.]
Whether or not the dolls are the sole reason is immaterial. There is hard evidence linking the implementation of the system and the virtual disappearance of all Hand activity. Not to mention the other uses they serve, cutting violent crime rates down to a fraction of what they were before.
I am not so foolish as to say the guardian should be focused on one thing to the exclusion of everything else, but neither should they remove a tried and proven method of law enforcement.

[Because no one is going to take this as a good thing.]

My world operates on a very simple form of 'justice'. Whoever can prove themselves stronger in battle makes the rules. For centuries, this model has served my world well, and when I attempted to conform to this place's twisted ideals, I only saw those around me hurt or lessened in the flood of bureaucracy.
I believe it is time to return to my world's way, for the benefit of all.
[Video]
This isn't your world.
[She tries to say so as calmly as possible, but she definitely doesn't like where he is going with this.]

Re: [Video]
If wishing to protect your home and those you care about is a crime, then yes. I am.
[Video]
I mean, I thought that was obvious.
I guess that's inspiring and everything but you don't get to get your way just because you care about Fayren. Lots of people care about Fayren and manage to protect it without breaking the law. Just saying.

That remains to be seen. Guardian candidate Amagi was rather adamant in the last election cycle that she wanted to do away with the dolls that make up Fayren's security system, despite the hard facts that after the implementation the Hands of Decay all but vanished from within the city, and violent crime plummeted as well.
I simply hope she has learned better, but I am not counting on it.
[Video]
So what, did yer dolls actually hunt down an' kill the head a the Hands a Decay or did they jus' stop doin' shit where yer things could see 'em?
