genessia | [Action/Open] Should Probably Just Go Back to Hell...

Well... Damn. As a youkai of the mountain, Koishi was built to handle some rather tough conditions. Anything ranging from flash storms to fires, to icy water, to high winds. But there was one thing the mountains of central Japan did not have. Heat. It was too bloody hot.

Well, she did live in hell. But that was old hell. The reactors were never turned up to full. It was usually snowy or pleasantly cool or, at the very least, the heat was radial and dry. And while this heat was dry too (for the most part) it was constant and unrelenting to the point where even the air she was breathing was hot and unpleasant. Sure, she could just go home... but why waste a clear day to be out and about?

Even if it was way too bloody hot. And the fact that everyone around her seemed miserable about it certainly didn't help the situation either. Damn subconscious powers!

And so, her usual wandering and exploring quickly turned into a quest to keep cool. To the point where she had even shed her yellow shirt and was just wearing the black tank top she normally wore under it. Even if that did technically expose the inhuman coloration of her upper arms for the world to see.

Well, in any case, she would be wandering around Genessia city looking for anywhere she could cool off. No doubt this might lead her into some strange or awkward places, but that didn't matter. She just wanted to be less warm.

(Feel free to pick a location to encounter her. Literally anywhere is fine.)

She will probably find Remilia sitting in a pool that had been left unattended... Yes, in it, completely submerged. The perks of not needing to breathe...

A few moments later there would be another splash. Koishi had jumped in too. She didn't have a bathing suit but her tank top and the shorts she wore under her shirt would be enough. It was way too hot to resist.

Using her tentacles, she cut through the water easily, doing an entire lap around the pool underwater before coming up in the center and shaking her head.

"Blech! The water tastes baaaad!" Koishi don't try to drink chlorine water.

Remilia walks up into the shallow end - she is completely unable to swim - after Koishi surfaces, giving her a sigh.

"...This water's not for drinking, you silly satori."

"I know but I'm really warm miss bats..." She dunked her head under and swam over, though her third eye did its best to keep from submerging. She popped up again and shaking her head and possibly soaking Remi.

"It's really smart what humans did. Putting water in a place where you can swim in it. Don't you think?"

"It's been done for thousands of years... Though putting chlorine to keep it clean is recent." As in invented in the 19th century. "That's why it tastes bad."

Koishi needs some ice cream or something...

"Oh. Well they don't do it much in Japan really. Not for swimming in, anyway. But for keeping fish and things." She paddled over closer to Remilia. Apparently unless she was using her tentacles she was a fairly poor swimmer.

"I didn't bring my swimming clothes though. Oh well. Maybe I should wear them when its this toasty next time."

It's still an improvement of Remilia's sinking to the bottom like a rock.

"Neither did I... I couldn't stand the heat any longer so... I jumped in."

"Oh. But why were you at the bottom though? Shouldn't you move through the water? It feels so nice and light." She picked her arm up, rolling her shoulder, and shaking some water out of the internal pockets she kept her tentacles in. She didn't want to be weighed down after all.

"I sank as soon as I got in. I'm not good at swimming..."

Koishi just sort of stared... "Umm. You don't have to sink though. If you spread your wings and arms out and kick your feet a little you'll float!"

"... Or just use flying magic. The water makes it really easy." Smartass.

And Remilia's next action is to dunk Koishi.

...Should have tried her natural flying magic, anyway.

Bad move Remi. Koishi didn't surface right away, something wrapping around Remilia's ankle and dragging her deeper into the pool. Right. Satori youkai had extra limbs...

And down Remilia goes with a cry, dragged under the water before she could react.

And just as quickly Remilia was wrapped in several more tentacles and hoisted out of the water, the sound of Koishi laughing meeting her ears. At least she was considerate enough not to hold Remilia under the water. Even though she didn't have to breathe.

And a kind of dazed Remilia is stuck in those tendrils, taken aback with how fast Koishi could be.

"Hehehe." Remi only had a moment to catch her breath before, with a quick turn, she was tossed once more into the deep end of the pool. Dammit Koishi! Stop being an ass!

Looks like Remilia is not getting out of this... Someone may have to help her...? But before she knew it Koishi let go, leaving her right back where she started in the deep end.

[Yup, it's very hot out. Even Kaguya's having trouble with the heat. Sadly, air conditioning was not something that came to mind when she had her shop set up, and for the time being, the interior was like an oven.

So she's standing outside wearing a pair of sunglasses and with a folding fan, using it in a vain attempt to keep herself cool. Her Lurantis standing at her side. At least someone is enjoying the heat and sunshine.

Spotting the youkai from her spot leaning against the storefront, she offers Koishi a wave.]

Having trouble beating the heat?

Koishi made a small, displeased sound and trudged over to where Kaguya was, sitting down in the lunar princess' shadow. Or trying to. The poor little mountain youkai was absolutely not used to such high temperatures. Ever.

"It's too waaaaaarm!"

And sadly enough air conditioner was not something she really thought of either. Being from feudal Japan and all.

[Kaguya didn't have much of a shadow, unfortunately for Koishi, due to her position up against her storefront. She's definitely dealt with hotter ~~thanks Mokou~~, but there was also adrenaline involved. And it was less boring.]

Indeed. It's rather uncomfortable.

[She waves her fan a few times at Koishi before returning to fanning herself.]

It's actually warmer inside than it is out here.
