The Lady of the Castle
Who:Lisa and Sakuya, later on adding in others at the Castle.
What:Lisa arrives, faints, and is taken to the castle where all hell breaks loose.
Where: Just outside of the bay and then Castlevania.
Warning: Lots of feels, confusion, and then all hell breaking loose at the Castle.
Lisa was very confused. She was expecting to die when the priests came to her home and burned it down while calling her a witch. She doubted that this was the after life. She really didn't believe in a Heaven or Hell. She just knew that the Church was ill informed, making the people ill informed as well. They didn't know that science was the way of the future. If she had been given more time she would have been able to do so much more for the people around her.
Yet they had burned her as a witch, saying that what she was doing was unholy and against the word of God and that she had married Satan himself. Vlad certainly had theatrics and could do things that no one else could, but he wasn't Satan. No, he was her husband and she loved him, no matter what.
Waking up in this place scared her. She didn't know where she was, nor how she got here. She couldn't understand what she was being told, just that she was alive, if injured. She still wore the rough gown that she had been forced into by the Church and she could barely hold herself up as she took a few shaky steps away from the bay and then fell to her knees, coughing harshly.
Her whole body shook with the force of her coughing. Inhaling smoke was hard on the body and she knew that she had many burns across her body as well. It had to be shock that was preventing her from feeling all of the pain that she knew came as a part of being burned at the stake. She couldn't stop coughing long enough to do anything, but take a few shaky breaths.
It all became too much for her and after several minutes of coughing, she fainted next to the box that she had been given upon awaking.

That's not what happened though. Instead Sakuya encountered a woman, reeking of burned hair and flesh and dressed in rags. Dropping her bag, the maid dashed forward, hesitant to touch the woman for fear of opening her skin more. It took a moment for her to register the woman's face.
Sakuya went chalk white, opening and closing her mouth once. She looked around before reaching down to gingerly gather up Lisa's things, tucking them away in pockets of space and doing the same with her grocery bag. Then, with great care, she lifted the woman off the ground, her eyes a blaze of red as she punched her way through the cold snap of time to Castlevania.

She carefully sat up and looked around. How many years had it been since she was back at the castle? Sure, she went back and forth every once and awhile for more supplies, but she liked the small house that she lived in on the outer edge of her village.
She didn't try to get out of bed, not yet. She knew that she was still too weak to be of much help around the castle and she needed to know more about what happened to her before she could get back to her own studies.
She looked down at her hands for a moment and tears started falling again. Of course the corrupt Priests would take her wedding ring. One of the few material things she treasured above all else.

She could at least help ease the pain of the burns.
Quietly, she drifted over to the bed. Her hands didn't quite touch Lisa, but they came close. Slightly less quietly, she uttered her healing spell -- it'd be really hard to tell what she was saying; she spoke fast, on top of the quietness.
Soon, though, Lisa would feel a bit of a soothing feeling starting to come over her. If only it had been a Saturday, her magic would probably have been a little stronger (considering it was mostly wood-elemental and, well, let's spare ourselves whole explanations of how her magic works and how she uses it...). It would still help, though.

"Lisa Tepes." She addressed, keeping her voice as gentle as the normally firm maid could manage. "I am Sakuya Izayoi, head maid of the Scarlet Mansion. Please, keep your eyes closed. You've been badly burned. Lady Patchouli is tending to you with healing magic. It should help mend the more superficial things..."
For everything else there were bandages and ointment.
Cautiously, Sakuya removed her hand, going back to the aloe leaf and carving it open, spreading the soothing jelly-like interior over and around her eyelids. "Lady Patchouli, if you would focus on her face. And then her hands, perhaps. That would ensure she's most comfortable while healing."
This was going to be a process...

The smallest of movements hurt, but she was starting to feel better. Vlad had tried to explain various magics to her, but she kept trying to apply science to them and just kept going around in circles. She didn't mind though. She wanted to continue to advance science, but she also wanted to learn what her husband wanted to teach her as well.
She didn't try to speak yet, she knew that her voice wouldn't be strong enough to be able to communicate. She could ask questions later.

"I can do something like that while I set up a stronger healing spell for her vital organs," Patchouli said to Sakuya with a nod.
"Just lie still. I'm sorry if this isn't the easiest process. Healing like this can be a bit painful sometimes, but I'm trying to mitigate that as much as possible."
She began casting yet another spell -- more low, quiet, fast-spoken and indecipherable words later, she basically had just cast the same spell again to amplify it, focusing first on the face for a moment, then on Lisa's hands.
She'd start on anything stronger shortly.

Sakuya gently spread the aloe over the rest of Lisa's face and lips, and then down her neck before starting on her upper arms.
"If what I'm doing hurts you at all Lady Tepes, I apologize truly. This plant's pulp has a chemical that soothes burns and cuts. It will keep your skin from drying and help you heal more comfortably."
She set the spent pulp aside, pursing her lips. "Would you like some water? I will need to prop your head up and this may hurt some. But I would imagine you're thirsty..."
Keep it together, Sakuya.

She could barely nod when Sakuya asked if she wanted some water. Yes. Water would be good for her throat. Despite the pain and confusion, she did understand what she had gone through and that people were caring for her and that she was back in the Castle.

"Hopefully this causes you no pain."
Sometimes healing was not an easy process.

Bringing a cup to Lisa's lips, the maid cradled it with both hands, tipping it slowly and giving her very small sips and letting her catch her breath between them. It was cool, but not too cold, soothing her throat.
"Not too fast. There's no rush."
