[This is no post from the pod, in fact, he's snuck in a few days ago. He's been watching and observing people in his friendly way, but he hasn't approached anyone yet.

Demyx is bored. He isn't used to having no one to talk to so he activates his device and smiles brightly for the camera.]

Hi! I'm Demyx!

I know you can talk on this thing, so I thought I'd say hi, and do that. This place is pretty interesting, although I didn't think I'd still be here.

[He couldn't just teleport home. Weird.]

Oh well, nothing I can do about it. So, how are you?

Oh, well, that necklace you're wearing--and that you're using the network--marks you for one of the more "real" among us. And there are creatures in the world that would like to attack and devour you and only others like you. So if I were to let one out, it might seek to try and drain you and all your emotions you swear you don't have.

Not, er, that I would do that for the fun of it! I have naught to do with them but their capture, mind! Goodness; almost came off like I made the horrors...

If it feeds on emotions, it's going to be really disappointed!

[His tone is teasing, a little sing-song. He doesn't believe him, that's all.]

Don't be so sure; wouldn't chance it! I mean, would you say you had more or less feeling than a robot? Because I've spoken to one, and they were as interested in him as anything. You may have more heart than you think.

Ah...feel a little sad, I suppose. Maybe look for a keyblade so I can smash your disparate parts together, or however that process works.

I'd rather you didn't, that keyblade hurts.

[He snorts softly.]

Well, I would say more than a robot, but the Superior says none at all.

Haha, so you do listen to your superior! Sometimes, anyway. Who knows? Perhaps the spirits will attack again and you'll see just how interested they are in these feelings you say you don't possess.

[Wait that's a horrible thing to even imply to wish for]

[He rolls his eyes.]

Yeah, well, he says it often enough, some of that stuff sinks in there. I can't sleep through every lecture.

[He snorts softly, sure he doesn't. Sure it's hypothetical.]

I think I'd like to avoid the fight, if it's all the same to you.

[He laughs a little more nervously.]

Dare I ask what business that youth had beating you, averse to conflict as you are?

Haha, wouldn't we all! Yet I bet you know how trouble likes to find one. Battles, alas, aren't always mutually agreed.

Work is work, I'm not the boss. [He shrugs, he can't even hold it against Sora.]

Trouble is a pain in the ass and I could use a break from it.

[Just following orders, the idiom goes. Eeyikes. Welp! Glad he seems to be free from the Organization's clutches. Hopefully.]

Well, agreeable work is easy to get, I'm sure you'll find, and we've plenty of people to do all the fighting for one. Got bunkers the size of the world too, so not even a world-ending apocalypse should trouble too much.

You'd be surprised at what kind of havoc an apocalypse can do to a world. Bunkers wouldn't do a whole lot.

Heh, glad to hear there are still some uncrossed lines left.

[Yep, he's buying it. The benefit of the doubt is important, dangit!]

Sorry, I'll stop lecturing you about the past and let you enjoy the present. Let me know if I can be of any aid in that; otherwise, I look forward to, say, hearing that sitar sometime. Why, I'd pay for lessons if it's pleasant enough.

I don't really know what to think about the present, at least in the past I knew what to do.

You'd have to be real dedicated. The sitar is not an easy instrument to play.

Oh, same as anywhere, I'd imagine. Bear fruit. You know, find work--a trivial task in this world, I find--, conduct one's gifts for the betterment and edification of others, and so on. You'll probably have your hands full just finding the time to enjoy everything; goodness knows there's much of that in the people, some of whom I'm sure will be kind enough to see to your network post soon.

Ah, but be careful not to be led into falsehood, mind. Had to pay a dear price for that myself.

Haha, what, doubt my constancy? You'll find that I'm a quick learner. All my teachers say that!

I really wouldn't know, that wasn't an issue in my world. I just did whatever the Superior said.

[He nods. He really doesn't want to get into what the trap was. Just that he fell for lies in general ought to be enough.]

This world is full of nothing if not different beasts; makes one pine for saner fare, really. Well, if you ever do consider passing down what you know, I'll happily take you up on it.

Yeah, freelance sounds nice, I think. I'll try it out.
