Hey so, bit of a weird question. Anyone here ever heard of Torchwood, and could maybe point me how to get back to contacting the local branch? That'd be really handy, yeah?

Year and star system coordinates would also be fantastic, but I'm not holdin' my breath waitin'.

[Bites her bottom lip in thought.]

[She doesn't even know which universe this is. Much less how she got here without a dimension cannon or where everyone she was with went. Maybe they're here. But then maybe even saying their name depending on the universe is dangerous. Luckily, she's had 5+ years (give or take for literal dimension rewinds and time in the vortex) of experience in learning how to do codes.]

Here's a fairytale you've probably never heard before.

Once upon a time there was a big bad wolf. She wandered a city of metal filled with metal men. [Too dangerous to even say the world cyberman until she learned more!] She thought she was on a mission to hunt down her lost prince. But she was actually on a mission to find home. Bit like Dorothy from Wizard of Oz if you know it. And one day she met a man who wasn't a prince at all. He was a very brainy professor. There was even another man who started off as a mouse but turned into a lion full of courage, saving worlds he never even knew existed. And a really flirty captain who was probably too pretty for his own good. They weren't off to find a wizard. Just a blue box.

The big bad wolf ran away from home and her pack over and over and over again, but no matter how many times she ran, and how many new friends she made or which universe she fell into, something was always calling her back. 'Pparently you can't escape your family that easily. That or the Big Bad Wolf's mum was seriously terrifying and would fight a werewolf for diamonds and totally win.

[Snorts, but hugs to his chest anyway. She doesn't really believe a fake could pull this off at least.]

They never are. [Even when his human half tried, they must have come back for Amy to mention them again.]

[Maybe... Maybe he's from after his human self splintered off anyway. Maybe.]

[She feels weird about that. Partly hopeful, partly reluctant, partly not wanting him to be. It's all confusing.]

[Tight hug and there's those two familiar heart beats. A lump in his throat when she asks]

Torchwood.

[She wants to run away. She wants to run so badly.]

[Instead she instantly hugs him tightly all over again.]

[To say goodbye. No. No no no no no. If that really is the last he remembers then....]

[She grips as tightly as she can and starts rummaging through his pockets without permission to see if he still has the ring.]

[Rose can probably sense that puppy dog tail really wagging with their hugging and he's focusing on how she feels and how she smells. He doesn't reply for a few minutes as Rose is going through his pockets. Why is she going through his pockets? And griefly whispers]

Yeah.

[Then strokes the top of head. Obviously, not wanting to say it. She will eventually find what she's looking for]

[And blinks at it, thinking it through.]

[Part of her wants to kiss the daylights out of him, actually considers it.]

[It's he's before he splits into 10.5, then he is still 10.5 too.... right?]

[And he went through Torchwood and...]

[She gently puts the ring in his palm and closes his hand around it. And pulls him down for a long hard kiss.]

[And then breathlessly:] I shouldn't'a done that.

[She should have talked to the TARDIS first.]

[Puts a finger over his mouth before he can tell her that it's fine or wrong or whatever other Doctor-y thing he's gonna say.]

I'm working for Torchwood in... in Pete's Universe. [OW ow ow ow. Why did she think the alcohol and procrastination would help? It hurts so much and she wants her anger back.] Thinkin' of startin' my own division here. Something to make him proud of.

[FIERCE LOOK! Despite the pain. And OH IT HURTS.] I'm living forward. Like you tried to make me. {GROWL!]

[Ten feels the ring drop in his palm and that being closed; confusion and sadness at once - how did she know about that? However, his sadness doesn't last long as she pulls him down into a long hard kiss - and can taste whiskey, tea, and vanilla ice cream with cherry and strawberry pop rocks on top. He's going to bet she drank too much. Not that he can complain -nope.

Alright. You're giving him mixed messages and despite the confusion, he's grinning like an idiot now. When he speaks his voice is high and squeaky]

[She needs to move on, it's better for her. Even if that pains him to hear that and clears his thoart]

If you want - you can stay in the Tardis. Least you know - till you get adjusted here.

[Why did he do that? Martha's there! He's not thinking not thinking at all and he shouldn't be love with both of his companions.]

[She grins instantly at his voice. Oh gods, that's an ego boost she needed. Well, even if she didn't need it, appreciated anyway.]

[She made a mental note to try it on Meta-Crisis and mess with his hair more next time, because it needed it.]

Yeah... thanks, yeah? I need to...

[Even still a bit on the drunker side, she know better than admit she needs to talk to his TARDIS. That'll just make him freak out, and it's not a reaction she's willing to deal with.]

[Her voice just softens.] I've missed you.

Umm...

I already made plans to go... to play games Saturday night, yeah? You should come. If you want. And I want to see the Olympics. They're not a thing in Pete's world. Weird huh?

[There's a whisper]

I've missed you too. [And softly but firmly holds her hand]

That sounds brilliant.

[She can't help it. She beams instantly. Like old times.]

[She will never let go of this hand.]

[AT LEAST NOT FOR A VERY VERY LONG TIME.]

[Until she has to freshen up and stuff.]
