Attleton Olympics - Catch-All

What: Catch-all for the Attleton Olympics
When: July 26th till August 2nd
Where: Attleton, Battle Colosseum
Warning: Should be mostly PG-13, with some competitions possibly going up to R?

[The streets of Attleton are buzzing with activity, visitors and residents alike crowding the streets and headings towards the Colosseum. Colorful decorations adorn the streets and parts of the buildings, there are tents and vendors near the Colosseum that sell snacks, soft drinks and plushies for the little ones (or not so little ones).

The inauguration starts at dusk with the first colorful fireworks announcing that is time to take a seat and enjoy the celebrations. The attending mayors and Guardians of each city and their deputies have a designated VIP zone to watch the ceremony unfold.

It kicks off with a vibrant bang, a succession of dancers, musicians and volunteers fill the Colosseum dressed in different colors representing the five cities. It's passionate, welcoming and nothing ostentatious, much like Attleton itself.

One of the highlights of the night is the singer Sonico Super, elegantly dressed, with an emotional performance.

Following the performance comes the inaugural speech of Attleton Guardian, Cassian Andor. Cassian stands up and approaches the dais, wearing the same black suit he had worn for the Genessia Awards and a new tie along with tie pin and cufflinks. He looks perfectly at ease, he’s even smiling, but those who know him well enough will note that both is very unlike him when it took days of persuasion for him to give the opening speech. ]

Dear citizens of Attleton, dear guests. Attleton has always prided itself on its hospitality. The time has come for all of Genessia to be our guests, and share with us the fruits of our labor in the Games. We invite you to prove your mettle in the arena, and cheer on the athletes from five cities, but most of all we invite you to come together in co-operation and friendly competition for the betterment of all. The memories of pain and battle from the third Breach may still be at the forefront of our minds, but we stand strong, and will be stronger yet for standing united. In this spirit, I hereby declare the Attleton Olympic Games opened.

[At last, it's time for the Olympic Flame lighting. The cauldron stands as a seven-story-high tower at the peristyle east of the stadium, impossible to miss. A shiny, tall figure moves to stand in the center of the Colosseum, carrying a traditional bow that was almost half his size.

Kay has polished his frame for the occasion and calmly notches the arrow, soon to be flaming. After a few seconds aiming, he shoots it 230 feet into the air, over the cauldron and finally igniting the flame that would burn during the 7 days of Attleton's glory. Music and breathtaking fireworks start soon after.

The Games have started.]

Check out the roster and info post. If you haven’t yet, please plot with your competitors and give us the results. Results still outstanding by the 31st will be RNG'd.

[Dray, being a participant, is stretching and getting ready for the relay race that will start later that day. He's turning his head to the side and finishing a stretch when he spots Shuppet.

His ears perk up for a second before he lowers her head, slinks close to the ground and begins twitching her tail furiously back and forth. He waits for the Shuppet, the prey, to move a little closer before he tries to pounce it.]

[While he does notice Dray too late, Noir has time to play pranks while his trainer isn't around. So when he moved closer to the cat-boy, he just uses his ghost abilities to phase through his pounce. Afterward, he has time to throw a water bottle right in front of him.]

[Dray's stares at his empty claws comically, his brain registering a second later that his whole body just went through the creature he was trying to catch. Ears going up, he turns quickly only to find the water bottle right in front of him. That gets him to pause again, looking up at Noir.]

Oh. Are you a fairy?

[Being a Ghost-type Pokemon, he just said nothing. Instead, he just floats around Dray's head like a behaved ghost he is. But he's not all well-behaved as he tries to fiddle around his cat ears.]

[Not all Fairies speak in Dray's world but most are troublemakers, that's why when Noir approaches his head that Dray is convinced the pokemon should be one of them for sure.]

I see. Sorry for trying to grab you. [He doesn't seem bothered by the fiddling and flickers his ears a few times.] Thanks for the water.

[He might be mischievous, but Noir is still nice enough to give a "thank you" nod to the cat boy while still fiddling his cat ears.]

[Dray giggles and his tails shifts around.] That tickles! I didn't know we had fairies in Attleton, I expected to see them in Fayren only.

[Noir just keeps smiling at how fun fiddling this cat boy's ears are. However, it is until his trainer arrives as he approaches Dray with some snacks.]

Actually, Noir is a Shuppet, a Ghost-type Pokemon that lived in my world.

[He then hands one of the snacks to Dray.]

But I can guess your world has some similar mischievous creatures like him.
