Ten had almost been in Genessia or rather the special section of Hell just for him. Things were a little better with the arrival of The Tardis, even if she can't time travel and any hope of leaving this place via 5th dimension or flying went out the window and took a toll on him as well because he gave up his ability to not need sleep very often. Martha's arrival was splendid and nothing seemed odd; she was from the same moment he was - it was Amy, the girl from his future that this place started to become more bothersome. Then Rose. And Captain Jack. As far as Ten figured at this point they were scattered across the timeline and it was a nightmare.

Then there was Pidge and the dear child seems very fond of the Tardis and who could blame her and lonely that she was allowed in to stay. Of course, the big question is how is this possible? Taken others from all over the multiverse is one thing but from the same universe and different times - not good. Not good at all.

[smacks him upside the head]

Don't be getting that look on me. Tell me what's on your mind or I'll look in myself.

[that'd be his own mind he's invading, thank you. But the non reaction concerns him. Someone is completely shut down.]

Or you can, you know, talk to me? Who else can you talk to whose not going to judge you. Come on.

[oh no. Angst. Deep deep angst. He hates angst. He never knows what to do other than go somewhere and brood for a decade or so until the loneliness gets to much and he goes back and does what he regrets.]

I mean, it's not like we could help it. It's just something that happened. What you need is a break. Just. Go somewhere. Shut down for a while. Don't try to do anything. Don't try to be anything. Just rest. I'll take care of things here. Can you do that?

[yes. absolute sinking depression. that's what's going to get them out of this. Dying alone was a given. They were the Doctor. It was inevitable.

He doesn't know what to say to it. Any of it really. To say to suit himself seemed harsh and that no one was going to forgive him if he hurt himself was really not going to help. So he just patted his cheek again and sat down on the edge of the bed]

Good luck.

[just sort of lets him. He pats him on the shoulder on the way out and then just loses himself in the corridors of the Tardis, still throwing and catching the cricket ball.

After a while, either by her design or his own, he ends up in the wardrobe room. There are so many clothes here. Some he used to wear all the time. Some he thought about once upon a time. A rainbow coat. A cravat. A really horrid question mark sweater, but he'd wanted to be just a little bit horrid then. It had suited his sensibilities at the time.

And of course he sees the leather jacket, shaking his head.]

Well look where it's got us now, ey? Still think it was a good idea? Should've gone on. At least found someone else.

[but the longing had been too strong and the sun too bright and even if he can't remember it emotionally he remembers the emotion.]

Well still wouldn't've changed it. [not a thing. Because once you started down that road you never came back, especially as a Time Lord. Especially as himself. The only thing left was to deal with it as best he could and hoped it didn't get worse.

But that was a slim hope at best because things always did. He flicked the lapel of the jacket and wandered out again, through the empty corridors or maybe just one corridor in an endless circle with her humming softly around him.

At least, if nothing else, she was here. At least, if nothing else, he could wander inside her and no one would find him unless he wanted, burying himself in the TARDiS.

He paused though as he came to a chalk board he hadn't noticed before and the words Cheer Up written on it. He stared at it a long time then walked away, humming to himself as he tossed the ball. ]
