[After last night's little robbery, Karla felt like making a broadcast. Now, more than ever, she was glad to finally have help. New deputies, whom she still has yet to meet personally. She addressed her audience, while disappointed at the outcome from last night, she had to remain confident that she could do better, with or without help.]

...If anyone plans to go to a bank for any reason...be careful. The bank in Genessia City was robbed last night.

The good news is, David Haller, the City Guardian, has hired some new deputies to assist in protecting the city. So I would like to say welcome to my new fellow deputies. I hope we can work well together to make Genessia City a better and safer place.

[She'll end the feed there. As a deputy, she's kind of learned to be careful about how much information to share.]

He did do a number on my ankle though, I'm not sure if it's bust or just sprained.

Not quite yet, uh, medical stuff can be a bit of a pain for Morphs and I only just got here so...

[Back home Hospitals as a rule don't like animals, even talking ones, visiting. It hasn't occurred to him that this might not be the case in Genessia]

Well...I'm not sure what a "Morph" is...but I'm sure the doctors and healers will take care of you.

But what do you mean? Do you have...special medical needs?

Uh... a morph is someone like me who isn't human, I'm a fox so I'm a fox morph? [Helgi sounds unsure because he's never had to explain it before.]

And you sure? Most doctors tell me to go see a vet.

I see. In Genessia, there are a number of people who aren't human. I don't believe the doctors would discriminate here. Perhaps you may fit well in Fayren.

[foxcurls]

Oh? Is there a lot of non-humans in Fayren then?

Wait... is that the place with all the fog because that place looks like a horror movie waiting to happen.

[He's still trying to take in all these new names and places, not easy to do when Crow hit him with one of his own sleep darts the day before.]

Oh yes, there are many different species living in Fayren, including dragons.

As for the city with the fear and the horror, that would be Everglade. You...might be all right there, considering the citizens there seem to favor non-humans.

[But if horror isn't his cup of tea, then she wouldn't recommend it.]

Dragons? [Helgi chuckles in disbelief.] ...Man, in my world I'm the oddest thing people have ever seen. But I get the feeling I'm going to be rather boring compared to some things here.

This is going to take some getting used to.

I'm sure Genessia is very strange by many worlds' standards. You may even be considered normal here.

And if, for some reason the doctors refuse to treat you, I'll be glad to give them a personal request.

[After all, how can they turn down a request from a Deputy Guardian?]

I sounds like it, clearly I need to get back on my feet and exploring.
