A Song and a Switch [Backdated Body Swap]

Sonico had been very much looking forward to her date with Mobius. It was a source of excitement as well as much nervousness. She had gone to some lengths to out together an outfit that would be considered cute - a pretty summer dress and a sweet new pair of shoes with a small heel. That was what the woman in the store said she should wear to be sure that the young man would be smitten. Plus a little bit of make up too. Sonico had trusted the woman, and so there she was, hurrying along to make sure she met Mobius at the meeting place in time. If only she knew how very differently this date would turn out...

A. There are two young people in town, standing quite closely together. They could just be having a perfectly pleasant time, only they seem to be quite determined to get somewhere, walking their way back home to Attleton.

B. What's going on? It seems a disturbance is going on with a rather rude and aggressive NPC. Sonico is standing, poised for a fight. Meanwhile, Mobius is hiding behind her, watching on with scared eyes.

Before the swap

[Mobius had been privately fussing to himself ever since he'd finally asked Sonico out about what he possibly could wear, even to the point that Stardust was poking fun at him and eventually chiding him for it. She'd questioned why he wouldn't just wear his Archon uniform like he would for any other occasion, but that was the big reason not to right there; this wasn't just any other occasion. This was officially a date, damn it! He had to step it up!

So he would get a new tailcoat tailored, naturally in his trademark color scheme- only this time the coat proper was the blue and it had white trim and buttons. He'd gotten a nice matching pair of knee-high boots to go with it. Before he'd left, he had been fussing in front of the mirror for a while, wondering if he was forgetting anything, and he was even wondering if he should wear his visor or not.

He'd given Stardust a good chiding of his own before heading out for the meeting place, to make sure she'd leave him and Sonico alone, and she would agree but not without making fun of him a little more first. When he eventually sees Sonico, his feathers perk up and he puts on a smile, and Stardust took that as her cue to zip it.

Of course, he'd be too distracted by her in that pretty outfit to say anything right away. When he catches himself staring, he mentally kicks himself.]

Ah-! I'm sorry, I couldn't help but stare. You're looking gorgeous, Sonico. I'm feeling pretty lucky right now to be the guy standing here to meet you.

*Really, Sonico should be feeling perhaps a little embarrassed at the knowledge of how much effort went into looking this good for him. But her overriding feeling was just one of such happiness and pleasure. She flushed brightly at his compliment, taking the time to admire his outfit too. Of course he looked good, he always did. But she had to admit he looked particularly handsome today*

You look wonderful too. Handsome, I mean. I suppose we're both feeling very lucky right now.
