[Cut-Scene Thing] Backdated to May 2nd
Poor Froakie.. It took such a beating. But it wasn't said beating that caused Satsuki Kiryuin to give up on the whole 'pokemon trainiing' scenario. Since she had been provided the tools to start, she decided to at least give it a try to see what all the fuss was about.
In the end she wasn't impressed, and once evening had fallen she had returned to Genessia City and, presumably, home.
However along the way she noticed a number of stray cats or other pets had been running past her. The source wasn't of her concern, at least not until she had come across an ally in which a larger, yelping dog darted out, followed by a pokemon that she had never seen before that was in a tired, slouched stance.
Pawniard looked like she had somehow escaped the new archway- or perhaps she had been here all along? Either way she clearly had been having a rough day, considerably beaten up and tired. "..." Her eyes met with Satsuki's. She looked surprised a moment, then raised her bladed 'hands' in preparation to battle.
"I don't have anything for a fight, my beast has already been exhausted for the day." Satsuki replied, then took a step forward to continue along... Only to be blocked as the pawniard leaped back in her way. She swung her arms about, still determined to fight.
With a deep frown, Satsuki narrowed her eyes at the little monster as she grasped the hilt of her sword. The blade withdrawn then held in front of her she warned, "You do understand that, in your condition, you do not stand a chance against me?"
The bladed pokemon looked both terrified and yet also determined. Their gazes with one another remain locked in silence for some minutes- Satsuki had lost the track of time for a moment but during that lost time she came to an understanding. She could somehow tell that Pawniard desperately wanted to become stronger, that there is someone that she needed to defeat at all costs.
".. I see." Satsuki finally murmured. She twirled her blade and returned it to her sheath with a small smile. "Join me, and I will guide you to obtaining the strength that you seek. I look forward to seeing what you have to offer."

As she charged, he shifted backward just enough to be out of the downward arc of the blade and brought down his shield. Yes, the energy with which the blade came down formed a few cuts on his body without the shield to protect him, however, it put her in a rather compromising position immediately after the attack.
A ball of black energy formed in his hand, growing with every instant that passed, and he was shoving it directly in Satsuki's face.
"Your Pawniard would have had more of an advantage against me. I can Detect your attacks, but pokemon have mental shields that can at least thwart multiple attempts. Shields that humans lack."

A 'tch' passed her lips just moments before MewTwo's counter attack that launched her back yet again right after contact. The pain of the psychic energy was barely dulled, which made her mind reel; especially once she slammed against a traffic light pole which was brought down easily from the impact.
Satsuki managed to get her feet to hit the ground then come to a sliding brake. "Is that so.." So in a sense, he's like Houka, is he?
The style she decidedto execute afterward wasn't one she was particularly fond of.
She'd adopt being wreckless.
"So.. you believe I lack that ability?" The ground seems to shake as energy builds up within her, then Satsuki burst forward yet again, even faster than before. But this time instead of striking right away, she circled about him and crosses paths, speed steadily increased to a blurr.

"Whether you have the ability is not my concern. My power is far beyond your league. Trainers spend their entire lives training and earning the respect of Pokemon and peer alike, and even then, they not always hold the power to tame legends. I am beyond even those legends in terms of power. Why should I obey one who has not earned the right to call themselves a trainer?"

The inevitable collision was timed to strike her from behind moments before her next attack, and that time rather than meet the psychic shield dead on, she brushed past with a whirlwind-like strike.
She came to an abrupt halt several meters ahead of her foe in a slight crouch (with marks of the resulting attack rather large red splotches upon her back), two seconds pass, then objects along her path such as trees and street lamps gradually seperated then fell to the ground due to multiple clean slices.
"That answer to that is rather obvious. Once I defeat you, I would become a legend."
