I did not plan on turning interviews into survival training exercises which risk body and mind... But it would be effective, Mobius is right in that. Just don't do anything they could sue us for... or make them sign a waiver first.

Guardians are law enforcement. In most places they don't need to bother with day-to-day police work, but here we don't have regular police, only the neighbourhood watch, so we deal with everything from nighttime disturbances to mind-controlling madmen driving people to murder another.

Not an age limit as such, since maturity varies for different species. I would prefer adults, or the equivalent of such. This line of work will sooner or later involve sending my Deputies to die painful violent deaths. I would not like to be hindered by public outrage.

Best I know it just happens, and we have as little control about being sent back as we have about being brought here.

If it could be controlled, I would ask my deputies to refrain. This is the second time in as many months that I'm hiring.

That is the only reason I'm considering this insane plan of yours. I was soft on the first round of new recruits, I didn't test them like I would have tested new agents at home. It can't hurt to go harder on the next recruit.

So far it's mostly been regular police work, there haven't been any attempts at mass murder or taking over the city yet since I got the job.

Each town has its own traditions of law enforcement. The Neighbourhood Watch is Attleton's.

That sounds like a recipe for trouble. I'm not trying to criticize it but how do you ensure that people aren't biased? That the watch won't turn into a group of bullies chasing off the wrong person?

Well... you're certainly clever at not dying. That's a useful skill in my book, I'll give you that.

Just how old are you? I need people who will be accepted as authority figures. You would be expected to handle the same workload as other deputies, including dangerous and physically taxing tasks.
