This is how you use this thing right? I've...never really seen a device like this before. But it seems pretty simple, I guess.
Anyway, my name is Skyler. I just arrived here. I was going to find this place the newcomers sleep in, but I thought that maybe I could learn a little more by asking here.
I was just wondering if anyone had any advice for new arrivals. Thanks.
Uh, bye.

...How are you speaking?
[He asks the important questions. Also, his own mouth doesn't move, so that's a thing.]
Not to be rude, but I feel as though I should be asking that. Most Pokemon speak with their mouths.
...While there are some species of Pokemon that have the vocal cords necessary to mimic human speech, the amount of Pokemon that have actually been recorded as understanding and using human speech patterns can be counted on one hand.
[And he only has three fingers to boot.]
[Those three fingers make that statement even stranger.]

[Fai is not at all reacting to a talking pokemon. He was used to things at this moment in time.]

[Likewise he won't be reacting to a human, because well, he is one.]

I don't have much in terms of advice because I haven't been here long.

That's alright. Meeting new people is also a good reason to use a phone from the looks of it.

[ He's curious, but it looks like he's scowling. ] What are you?
[ Video ] Fourth wall away. ^^
[Actually he's a human, but getting into those complications in a new place seems like it's not really needed.]

[ shrugs ]
I just got here myself. But, sounds like some places can get kinda dangerous for a little guy.

"Goodness, would you happen to be a pokemon? And a scholar or researcher at that?"
[Being interested in onomastics, he makes the guess based off the name.]
As for advice...well, don't go to Everglade. It's a wicked place.
Don't open any subarchways either. They cost too much for too little.
None but those with necklaces like yours have souls, so make sure to order your love properly.
Make sure to enjoy people while you can; they have a bad habit of vanishing on you.
And, in keeping with Genessia's stated aims, be sure to live and demonstrate life to the utmost.
That might do for an upshot, unless you had another inquiry in mind.
[There are a lot of humans here. He's never seen another before coming here...at least that he can remember.]
So, the Everglades are dangerous, don't use archways, keep my necklace close, and live my life normally? Got it.
But, what do you mean by order my love properly? And people just vanish?
Re: [Video]
Ah, well, just making sure you love more what you ought to love more and any, uh, necessary corollaries. Some people get the order wrong and wind up treating thigns without souls better than those with them. Often due to sentimentality. It can lead to some very awful results, that disordered love.
Yes, sadly. As suddenly as you've arrived, others can just as suddenly disappear. It's a common cliche, but you'll want to do what you can with who you can while you can.
[Darn, he almost got through one whole reply without getting mildly depressing! But he finds that when newbies ask for advice, the "do not's" are the most important.]

Hi Skyler, I'm Helgi and I'm a little new myself.
So what kind advice were you after? Or was it just general stuff?
no subject
Hello, helgi. General information is fine, I don't know what specifics to ask yet.

Why hello there. I never expect another Pokemon with a necklace before.

Are Pokemon something that you don't normally see around here?

I got advise for you. Take the money and the free house for the month. Explore and find a job you like.
[He has no idea what a monkey is, but the idea of him being able to talk seems pretty odd to people.]
I was on my way to the housing, but I'm curious what all kinds of work there are.
Did you have a job back home?
