This is me forever
Who: Kirika Yuumura, Aya Fujimiya, and Seth Rim
What: Bounty Hunt and shop visits
When: Aug 29th & 30th
Where: Attleton | Kitten in the House Flower shop in Attleton
Warnings: Assassin mission and cute visits.
A. Bounty Hunt: Closed to Aya
Ever since the newspaper was released, Kirika eyed on a particular bounty in Attleton, her new home. It wasn't quite the job she was used to back home, but it was the same concept. Bounty hunting was something new and was leaned more to capture for custody than execution. If anything, she suppose she could call the law enforcement and provide the location once captured if anything for the target. She had gathered information around town about the Hearttaker whenever she had a chance it be after school or work. If there was anything she learned from the previous jobs back home, baiting herself had always been quite effective, and young school girls made perfect targets.
After Kirika finished work, she walked around town where the sightings taken place for the murders. It was getting late, close to eleven. Eventually, she sensed a stranger followed behind her. Kirika tucked her hands in her pockets casually, as if she was unaware of this stranger. For now, she walked along the block making sure the individual followed, patiently.
B. Flower Shop: Closed to Seth
The next day, Kirika was quite tired. Things didn't go as expected last night which left her right hand bandaged. She came to work right after school. She wrapped her work apron around her and began her chores with the flowers. When her chores were done, Kirika was by the register counter either doing school work or reading a book. A couple yawns escaped from her once in a while from tiresome. Sometimes she would drag herself outside just to sweep the entrance, if anything, mostly to keep away from the group of girls who came to look for Aya. They would question Kirika at school, and that was enough for her. Honestly, she would try to find anything to keep her awake.

Having seen Kirika beat him to claiming the bounty, he convinced her to team up with him on it. He didn't really care about the reward so much. Perhaps it's just his way of keeping his skills sharp, and not seeing a reason to stop being what he is. So they team up, creating a plan to use her as bait. Being young, a girl, and seemingly innocent would play to their advantage. He didn't like the idea of it, but he was curious as to what she was capable of, and would do his best to make sure she came out alive.
So from across the street, Aya was shadowing Kirika and the mystery person, who seemed pretty clean cut and wasn't bad to look at. Mid to late thirties, well groomed, glasses. Why was it always the odd ones who were vain?
To throw off suspicion, Aya took on the role of a traveler obviously unfamiliar with the area due to holding a map and asking people for assistance once in a while. His katana was in a special poster tube strapped across his torso. It would look more suspicious carrying the blade out in the open. He kept an eye on Kirika and the stranger as he did so, and thanked the helpers once he "found his way." It would give him ample opportunity to cross the street and follow with a larger group of pedestrians between them.
All he needed from Kirika was a sign or text that she was in a place they could ambush him.

Kirika had her share of odd ones, even ones who tried too hard. She wasn't sure herself either nor cared to find out. This stranger, it felt as if he was grinning to a meal in front of him. With Kirika being bait, it helped a lot with Aya watching them. Her pistol hid in her back skirt pocket. She handmade some of her pockets for her gun.
The ideal location was very close, it was her school. She also carried her bag on one side, it would look like she forgotten something there at least. Kirika knew some areas around the school where students would isolate themselves. When Kirika turned to enter the school's ground, she stretched her arms over her head and then behind her giving Aya the signal. She disappeared behind the building followed by the strange man.
When the two were out from clear sight of the public, Kirika heard a knife sheathed behind her. She looked back and saw the stranger with a sinister grin. But where was the knife?

Finding another entrance to inside, Aya crossed the building, making sure to stay out of sight, especially away from the windows. He didn't want to be spotted by the murderer by chance. Making it to the other side, he crouched beneath a window and peeked over it, spotting Kirika and the stranger, seeing that he was still behind the stranger somewhat. He took the opportunity to quietly start taking out his sword from the tube.
He wished he could hear what was going on outside.

Strange enough, she had an idea where Aya was hidden, and avoided eye contact for less suspicion. The stranger approached her slowly as if he was a lion on the hunt. Kirika didn't move, her arms were still behind her. After the stranger had taken another step, a gun was fired. The stranger's grin widen, creepy actually, as if victory was at his hand. A moment later, there was some confusion to his feature, as if something didn't felt right to him. Behind Kirika, another stranger, about mid-thirties as well, stood from a distance and Kirika was between the men. His eyes looked lazy before he fell to the ground with a gun in his hand. Kirika shot this man from her back, inside her hidden pocket.
The stranger, still in front of Kirika, looked at her with disbelief. Now with rage, the stranger quickly lunged forward with the knife in hand and thrust it towards the young girl.
"You bitch!"
Kirika whipped her pistol out from retaliation. The knife grazed the back of her right hand before her pistol could be used as a shield, but that injury didn't slow Kirika down. Kirika stepped back a couple times avoiding the dagger's constant thrust and parried it a couple times with her pistol. She was pretty good at avoiding deadly blows at least. Now she was stalling for Aya.

Once he found that the stranger was lacking in finesse, Aya grabbed his wrist at the next attack, twisted the wrist before kneeing him in the stomach, yanking the knife from his hand, and stabbing him in the thigh with it. That should at least make sure he wouldn't get far. Aya wasn't even winded at the struggle, and started to tie up his hands with a zip tie.

While Aya was occupied and Kirika was spectating, a third suspect sprung from behind Kirika. Kirika's eyes widen sensing hostile behind her, but she was too late to react. The surprise suspect grabbed hold of her wrist, the injured one, and twisted her arm back adding pressure. The gun she held dropped behind her. Kirika wasn't particularly good at yelling, but her painful yelp was enough to shot Aya's ears. A blade rested on Kirika's neck. Kirika winced from the shot of pain, and yet remained calm.

"Let her go, or you're dead," was the only warning Aya gave. He made sure to keep an eye on Kirika as well. Who knows what she would do.

The stranger taken an inch back away from Aya despite the warning, and dragging Kirika along with him. Kirika glanced to the side, searching for something the man might carry while trying not to be conspicuous. There was something sticking out of the man's pocket. A pen perhaps? It was hard to tell, but it was enough for her fingers to pluck it while the stranger's attention was on Aya.
The stranger continued to step back further.

He also watched Kirika, not giving away her movements. Whoever reacted first, well, would be first.

"D-don't you dare! I'll kill her!" The stranger barked. His grip on Kirika's wrist tensed enough for her to make a discomfort noise.
Kirika was still calm. She stared in Aya's eyes, saw he was confident. She closed her eyes as if she nodded to him, and returned her hand by her side. Taken a deep breath, her eyes opened again. Then she listened and waited.

The stranger was still cursing, retracted his hand away from the blade and held it close. He didn't realize it was checkmate until he heard the click of a trigger. Kirika was in good distance.

He was sending the message that it didn't mean the other person would be so lucky. He knows he was watching.
Aya went over to the man bound by the wrists and turned him over with his foot. Immediately the pointy end of his sword was aimed at his neck, watching the man quiver at the possibility of ending up like his partners.
"Are there any more of you?" The fear in the man kept him from answering, so Aya emphasized his literal and figurative point. "You'll end up like any of the others, or worse, if you lie."
They were given an emphatic shake of the head.
"Hn." Aya walked over to pick up the sheath, flicking his sword once to get off residual blood, before putting it back. He looked to Kirika as he did so. "Are you alright?"

B
Today he had a decent chunk of the day off and he was using the time to check on the handful of people that he knew. Kirika was one of those people. He found it hard since meeting her in the dream world not to think or worry about her. His tongue flicked across his lip ring as he made his way towards the flower shop. He paused just outside, seeing Kirika cleaning up inside. A smile tugged at his lips as he pushed open the door.
Seth was dressed as he always did: black shoes, dress pants, a white button down shirt with the collar parted around his neck and a vest. His white hair was short and messy as always and at times his smile made those pale golden eyes look like they were glowing. "Hello." He spoke as he stepped inside.
"I am looking for a flower for a beautiful flower girl. She works very hard and I fear that she is under appreciated." Seth wonders if Kirika will be able to guess that he's talking about her.

Even though she was drowned from her tiredness, her senses of awareness were sharp. Kirika glanced towards the door to acknowledge the customer at least. "Good after..." her voice trailed off and fell quiet when she saw who it was. "...noon?" She questioned herself more. It was Seth, the person who assisted her when she arrived. She laid her crimson eyes to his golden eyes, something about those eyes she couldn't understand, or perhaps she was over thinking added with the lack of sleep.
As for Kirika, she wore a blue skirt with a white shirt and ruby sneakers today. It was hot and sunny, it felt appropriate.
Kirika blinked once and gave a blank stare when Seth requested a flower for someone. "Um," she began, clueless to who Seth was referring to. She set the broom to the side, for now. "Do you have a preference?"
no subject
"The flower isn't for me but for a beautiful young woman who resides here in Genessia." Seth is hardly a decent judge into what women or men enjoy. Being immortal makes every life feel fleeting to him, be it the life of a person or the life of a flower.
"You look tired." He observes as he brushes his fingers across her forehead. "Are you not sleeping well?" Perhaps he shouldn't have left her dream…
no subject
She tilted her head back curiously, "hm?" A flower she liked? This made her look around the shop, pondered. All the flowers seemed to her liking, but if she had to choose... Kirika jester one hand to some particular flowers. Blue had been her favorite color, and the name of the flower somehow was alluring.
For a beautiful young woman, Kirika gave another 'hm?' "I see," she said, still unaware. "Hopefully the person will like them, they're Forget Me Not." She felt pretty proud of herself knowing the name as she stared at them. Ever since she worked here, Kirika had studied plants by their names.
When Seth brushed her forehead, her forehead heated up a little. Something about physical touch in a certain way made her light headed. Kirika remained still, brought her hands together by her sides. "I didn't get enough last night, I guess," Kirika admitted. It was hard for her to lie, but that didn't mean she had to explain.
no subject
"You should take a break. You're looking flush." He paused for a moment to consider a few options. "Will you step outside with me? Just for a moment to get you some fresh air." Seth already knew that she was the type of person to push herself needlessly. He had to tactfully think of a way to make her rest and, of course, properly give her the flowers that he'd just bought.
He wondered what drew her to them.
no subject
She went ahead and rang him up for the flowers. Man, she fell quiet again when he commented on how flush she was. Maybe she was overworking herself. Kirika sunk her head back a little in a shyful manner. She wasn't the type to toss out excuses so she left it as quiet again.
But when he asked her to step outside for a moment, she looked up to him curiously, tilting her head slightly to one side. Actually, it didn't sound like a bad idea. "Sure," she agreed, possibly could use a break.
If Seth lead her out to be kidnapped, Kirika wouldn't had guessed. She clamped her hands together and pressed them close to her lap as she followed him out. Once outside, the soft breeze swept over her face, it felt nice and refreshing. Still, even if it was for a break, why did Seth suggested outside?
no subject
"Truth be told, I purchased these for you." He flashed her a devilishly charming smile. "I hope that's okay. You looked as if you needed something to brighten up your day. Now it seems that you need a nap too." He hums thoughtfully to himself.
"Why don't you call it an early day? I'd be honored to walk you home." His fingers brushed against her cheek, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. He was worried about her and knowing that he hadn't been able to cure her of her nightmares bothered him. "I have a feeling you'll sleep better tonight." He would be there to make sure of it. Even if she didn't see him doing it.
no subject
When Seth presented the flowers to her, Kirika stared at them, bewildered. She looked up to him next. Before she could ask, he had answered. To brighten her day he said... She didn't quite understand why he did it, but she smiled thoughtfully as her hands reached out and accepted them. "Thank you." She quietly said, still smiling. "It's fine." Perhaps her first gift given to her by a stranger, they only met twice.
She held the flowers close to herself, closed her eyes, and taken the time to admire it's fragment. Her eyes fluttered open when she felt his fingers brushed against her face to her ear. Once again her face was beat red. She held her gift closer to herself, trying to contain her heart from beating rapidly.
Kirika was speechless when he continued to talk. She sighed softly to herself, taking his consideration. Still, she can't quite shake the feeling of the last comment. She pushed it to the back of her mind, for now, perhaps she did needed a good rest.
"Are you sure it's okay?" She had to ask, she felt bad when people go out of their way for her, even if it came in rare occasions.
no subject
What he would give to see her smile. His hand dropped down to this side as he forcefully stopped his thoughts from continuing. There was only so much he could do for her and in the unfair way that life went, he couldn't ever be completely honest with her.
"I wouldn't have offered if it wasn't okay. I'm not interested in second guessing everyone of my decisions." He replied in a soft voice. A better question would be, 'what is he doing?' Seth knew that he shouldn't get close to anyone, ever, but there was something in Kirika that was to similar for him to let go.
no subject
She gave a nod. "I'll be right back." She said, and then walked back into the shop. A couple minutes later, Kirika walked back outside with her tote school bag hanging on one shoulder and the apron she had a while ago was gone. She held her gift with her free hand, away from her tote bag. At least the flush on her face she had earlier subdued. "I'm ready to go now, Seth."
no subject
When she returned, he flashed her a brief smile. "I realized that I offered to walk you home but I am not sure where you live. Are you still staying in the new housing apartments or have you found somewhere new?"
Seth stepped towards her side and offered a hand in case she wanted to pass him the tote or apron to carry.
no subject
Then she quickly glanced the hand he offered. She wasn't quite sure whether he wanted to hold her hand or something else. Couples held hands, or least she had seen during her people watch, or adult and child. So instead, she pointed towards the direction where the apartments were. "It's this way." She didn't mean to give him the cold shoulder.
With that said, she stepped forward to lead the way.
