So after being shut down and hopefully put into storage, I wake up and find myself not only floating in a cocoon surrounded by system clogging sea water, but I've been abducted into some other world and reactivated against my will.

Great. Just great.

I suppose I should introduce myself. My designation is DWN-009 Metal Man. I don't like wasting my time, or my abilities. I'm a combat robot and I don't have any interest in industrial work.

If anyone here has ever heard of a Doctor Albert Wily, I need to know immediately.

Robots aren't all necessarily made of metal. Ceramic materials are also common.

I know one that's made of wood.

This is a visual motif thing. It communicates an idea. You're taking this too literally.

That's why I'm trying to explain it.

But an explanation of a visual effect is meaningless without the visuals to go with it.

Hey, I'm not under any illusions about what I am.

But I am, so I'm gonna imagine that you look like a trash can with googly eyes.

Apologies about the water; couldn't clean it up even if we wanted to. Which we don't; it's very precious.

I've heard of Wily; he was hear for a time. Rigged an election in Nova City, and was generally cantankerous. Gone now. You won't, I hope, follow in those footsteps.

Why do you dislike industrial work, specifically?

This place is mean like that. I don't think anyone has figured out who the mean person is that keeps locking people up in those nasty boxes. It isn't so bad here, but, I just have to ask, what is a 'combat robot'. I've heard the word combat before, but are you sure robot is really a word? I'm not sure its a word.

"Mean person". That's one way to put it.

It means I'm an artificial construct created for completing a task. My intelligence is artificial and manmade and I'm beholden to specific kinds of programming.

Basically I'm like a tool, but intelligent.

I think I know what you're talking about. You're a living tool, so you're a tsukumogami, right? That means that you're not just a tool anymore, you're allowed to have your own feelings and thoughts!
