So after being shut down and hopefully put into storage, I wake up and find myself not only floating in a cocoon surrounded by system clogging sea water, but I've been abducted into some other world and reactivated against my will.

Great. Just great.

I suppose I should introduce myself. My designation is DWN-009 Metal Man. I don't like wasting my time, or my abilities. I'm a combat robot and I don't have any interest in industrial work.

If anyone here has ever heard of a Doctor Albert Wily, I need to know immediately.

I've already admitted I was a combat robot. And I'm guessing you know what kind of person Wily was.

I'm not looking to cause trouble here, alright? But I don't want it broadcasted that "I'm a cause for concern". I know how this works. Good or bad, people need other people to fight for them, right? I didn't have that chance back home because no one trusted me, and I don't want to have to shut myself down for that reason here.

It isn't so bad here, but, I just have to ask, what is a 'combat robot'. I've heard the word combat before, but are you sure robot is really a word? I'm not sure its a word.

It means I'm an artificial construct created for completing a task. My intelligence is artificial and manmade and I'm beholden to specific kinds of programming.

I can't help you with tracking down Doctor Wily, but I welcome you anyway. You won't have to go into industrial work if you don't wish to, droids are for the most part treated with respect here. Please refrain from following your combat programming outside of work. Security is in the hands of law enforcement here.

And don't worry. I'm not randomly violent. I just don't want to waste my abilities on lumber, construction, or manufacturing things. Wasted effort is just frustrating. I wouldn't attack randomly unless ordered.

But law enforcement? Can you tell me more about that?

There are a fair number of robots here, both natives and people brought here from other worlds. There are combat robots among them.

I'm part of law enforcement, as Guardian of Attleton. Every city has one, they along with their deputies are in charge of security, usually working togetherness with local police forces of some kind. Nova City for example has robo police.

I'm glad to hear you aren't violent. We regularly get powerful guests trying to introduce themselves with threats and violence. It's good that you won't do that. You might want to look into work in security or becoming a full-time bounty hunter.

He's never mentioned this place, or whomever you are, so I can confirm that theory at least. But I mostly want to know what the Doctor did and the kind of mark he left on this place. Did he, uh, ever say anything about his operation back home?

There probably aren't many; it was at least two years ago since he had last been seen.

I am uncertain how widespread the information is now, but he has declared his desires for 'world domination', though managed to win the election for Nova City Guardian. Frankly there is much to discuss, if you would be interested in meeting.
