There are many charities in this world that a lot of off-worlders have established for the greater good, including myself. Yet I can't recall a collective effort from those entities to work on a single project to bring in donations to them all. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. So I'd like to propose that we fix that.

[A sip of tea is taken, and it fogs up her glasses a bit.]

I think a bake sale could be a start, but not everyone can bake. [Herself included...] Maybe something like a calendar could work...

[She trails off but shrugs after a moment.]

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

How much baking would you need done?

Enough to sell for a whole day. Things shouldn't run out until early evening, at the earliest.|

If there's a kitchen I can work with and enough ingredients, I could handle it.

Baking's a hobby of mine, and I can make just about anything. Cookies, brownies, muffins, pies, cakes, etc.

Sexy and tasteful are not mutually exclusive.

You should sell them at Christmas. There's a huge calendar market that nobody has tapped into yet and everyone always needs a new one come January. I mean, I don't but I'd still buy one if it was tastefully sexy.

Does it cost more to upkeep or create? And I'd need some sort of guideline, like what sort of plants and such.

Most of them help with orphans, the homeless, or medical care. I know one organization dealing with ways to send us home by doing research runs solely on donations.|

I'm not involved in charity work beyond the cooking classes, but I'm curious, a calendar of what?

A yearly calendar with photos of people, usually famous or influential ones, to help raise funds for a cause.

If you think people are going to buy these.

They might, after all that one company still produces the ridiculous guardian action figures.

Do you mean the kind of calendar that I think you mean? I always thought those were a bit exploitative, even if it's for a good cause, though that might be my bias showing.

At this moment, no, not that sort of calendar.

I've established two shelters for the homeless in Everglade and Genessia City. Others have charities that benefit orphans or medical care or scientific research, and others. So, essentially, I'm trying to garner support for all of them.

That's a relief. Though I suppose a calendar of scenic views could do just as well. Hopefully of other places besides here, though I suppose it could appeal to certain tastes.

Ah... worthy causes, indeed. I might need to avail myself of one of those shelters, unless I can find a place of my own. It's not easy holding down a job when one keeps... coming unglued in this place. [There's a slight snarl of combined irritation and apprehension in the other's voice.]

The calendars would be of anyone that wanted to participate. It helps if we have big name figures to boost sales.|

After being here for as long as you have when you say that. No, I don't think even I can recall a time where something was done to gather donations for more than one charity. It's always been for one usually.

But either way, maybe having multiple ideas would also work, depending on what someone is good at. That way you get someone doing something if they want to help and might bring in more donations to charity.

I was thinking that as well. Some may actually be interested in a bake sale, so there's something else to consider. Usually, in another world I was in, they did date auctions, or kissing booths.|
