[Terra is sitting at a table before she starts with an array of things scattered in front of her. She steals her nerves and clicks on the feed.]
Um... Hello.
My name is Terra.
When I woke up here my memories had been taken. I'm not sure what is wrong with me but I have met one person who knows me.
[Terra takes a deep breath. She looks down at a sheet of paper in front of her.]
Random things bring flashes of my memory back. If anyone would be willing to help me regain my memory. I don't know. [Her voice tails off.]
I don't know how. So any ideas would be appreciated.
[Now she waits.]

[Vyers is keeping his voice and expression calm, but sympathetic - a far cry from the loud, egotistical introduction he gave a few days prior. Judging from what can be seen behind him, he seems to be sitting on in a rather undecorated room. At least it was somewhere quiet.]
You mentioned that there were a few things that triggered part of your memory - perhaps one of those would be a sensible place to begin?
Video; private
Yes. My memory returning usually comes with headaches and sometimes fainting.
[Terra looks around the room she is currently occupying. Would it be safe here?]
Video; private
[He did not want to poke too deeply, especially as it seemed a delicate case.]
Still, if headaches or fainting are a risk, perhaps sitting down somewhere comfortable would be wise.
Video; private
[Terra looks down at her papers. She doesn't really know the area.]
Video; private
…Do you have somewhere you can go?
[There's a bit of shuffling as Vyers examines his own pamphlet. Why did this thing not come with a map?]
I believe I saw a library in town a couple of days ago that might be a little quieter?
Video; private
Yes. I can meet you there.
Video; private --> Action
[And with that, Vyers heads out towards the library.
Luckily, he not only remembered where it was, but also discovered the quiet little coffee shop on the first floor. Perfect.
Ordering two warm drinks (he hoped she liked tea), he took a seat and waited for Terra to arrive.]
Action
Hello.
Action
Ah, Terra. I do hope you like tea?
Action
It's very nice. Thank you.
[She looks up and wonders where to start. She should start by saying something.]
Re: Action
[The demon smiled and sat down to sip his own tea, wanting to give her a chance to speak first.]
Action
One person knows me in this city. He brought on the first memories of a war but I feel scared around him.
I'm not sure why. [Terra takes a long pause to sip her tea.] I remember only a few other things after that.
Action
Sometimes our instincts are wiser than we are, don't you think? You'd be surprised how much you can learn from them, if you take the time to work out their cause.
Might I ask who this person is? I may have seen them.
[He wouldn't tell her directly to be careful, but she seemed a bright girl - hopefully she'd work out what he was implying. He didn't want to hand her the answers.]
Action
His name is Kefka. He told me he was my uncle but that was really it.
Action
I'm not certain I've met him, although as I said, I have not been here long.
Still… would you say that you are afraid of him, or is there something about him that reminds you of something frightening? There is a subtle distinction, after all.
Action
I feel like I need to listen to what he says and then I feel fear. He only reminds me of himself and I am afraid of him.
He was the one who reminded me about the war back home.
Action
He has not told you much about what you are missing, himself?
Action
He was in charge of the army I fought with.
Action
[Was he one of those three? He hoped that would guide her instincts to place her feelings of uncertainty.
It surprised him to know she'd fought in an army before now. It would not be so strange in the Netherworld - Laharl and Etna looked young, after all - but Terra looked human, as far as he could tell.]
Was he a fair commander?
[Not good, just fair. That might be less complicated than a question of morality here.
Just gently exploring what she'd said with questions of his own. He hoped that might allow her to feel out some answers within herself.]
Action
War is terrible. It makes it so you can't feel and all you surround yourself with is death.
I don't think someone who can command others to saluater is very fair but its a job that always seems to have to be done. I don't like it.
[Terra takes a breath. She knows that she didn't really answer but it is what she had felt. She had to put it into words. Her head ached a little with her last sentence. She fights it back trying to stay focused.]
Action
Far too many people think war is the only option. I like to think that, despite what odds we may be confronted with, peace is something that is never too far from our grasp.
Still, many people cannot see that, and many more fight because that is the easier option, in their minds.
[He took a moment to sip his tea, wanting to give her a little time before he asked his next question.]
Yet, despite the pain that comes with battle, people often have a reason that they think justifies all of it. If you hate war so much… what reason was it that drove you to fight?
Action
I don't know. I don't like fighting like that.
[Pain shoots through her head causes her eyes to close. Scenes of the war passed in front of her but they were all things she has seen before. She flexed her hand feeling an illusion from the dream on her forehead. She felt a circlet under her hand. She opens her eyes trying to regain her focus. The pain ebed enough for her to look back over at her companion. She takes a long sip of tea sorting her thoughts.]
Re: Action
[So the reasons were, as of yet, unclear to her. That was not too surprising - he certainly had not been expecting to draw out all the answers this soon. This was a delicate process, that needed to be taken one step at a time.
She appeared to be touching her forehead, but that did not entirely seem a gesture of pain. A nervous reflex, perhaps?
He waited a little while to give her a chance to clear her thoughts a bit.]
...Are you alright?
Action
Yes. I'm sorry.
That happens from time to time but it doesn't ever tell me much. Just pictures and feelings from the past. It's still all tangled together.
