001: arrival
{ action }
[ The first time he can be found is as he's wandering around, alternating between staring hard at the pamphlet... and the- ...the phone. He's been kidnapped to a surprisingly normal place and they gave him money and an effin phone.
And jewelry.
Jewelry needed to go between the cities.
They want him to find a job.
They're forcing him to stay here, but want him to be comfortable.
What the hell, man...? ]
The hell kind've kidnappers are these?!
[ Of course, the most important thing is whether or not a certain group of people are here. He's fidgeting with the phone, briefly resuming his hard staring at the phone and the pamphlet. Seriously, though, it's even explaining how to use this thing!!! Augh... It honestly feels like an insult to be kidnapped and then given all this shit...
YOU'RE TRAPPED BUT IT'S FINE, BECAUSE WE'RE GIVING YOU FREE SHIT TO MAKE UP FOR IT...??
Maybe this is just some crazy ass, overly realistic kind of dream. It damn sure can't be the Metaverse, right...? It can't be someone's cognitive view of the world, right...? (First of all, who the hell would it belong to...)
So, he can be found honestly glaring at the phone. Initially he's not even sure what to say over the thing... ]
{ audio }
[ But, after a heavy sigh, he finally does send a message over the thing. He's just going to go for the quickest way to get in touch with his friends: ]
So, uh...
[ SHIT... HE WAS LESS READY THAN HE ANTICIPATED. Quiet, deep breath... This is fine... ]
I'm lookin' for anybody who knows about the Phantom Thieves. Lemme know if you're hearin' this. I'm still learnin' how to use this thing, but there's a private option right...?
[ ...anyway, he's just gonna go ahead and leave it at this... ]
voice;
[Have Haru talking on the other end, that hint of joy in her voice. Admittedly she was happy that another friend was here.]
no subject
After the sigh and a muttered- something that sounds like a 'holy shit' and a few other things (clearly, the phone isn't anywhere near his face at this time), he's quickly responding-- ]
Man, d'you have any idea how much longer the message would've been if I tried to list everyone's names? I just wanted to say somethin' that'd get the group's attention if they, uh... really were here... Which... heh... thank god you are.
[ Honestly? He was... kind of really afraid they weren't. They'd all been there with him, and then suddenly... they weren't. He had been entirely alone, and it had reminded him way too much of the time he found himself in that cell...
...but anyway... ] How's everyone holdin' up? And where's everyone now?
private;
We haven't really used our names as the Phantom Thieves all that much here. [Well she used her Noir alias, but that was a different thing, right?] But it certainly got my attention.
[She was clearly showing she was happy by the smile on her face.]
I'm glad you're here as well and as for how everyone is holding up... Nothing has happened to make it bad at least... at least this month. When I first arrived something went down that was terrifying.
[She now made it obvious she might have been here for a while.]
As for where everyone is currently, I have no idea. I mean we have at least three people from home here. Akira, Futaba and Akechi. But no idea where they are this minute.
no subject
Thanks for switching this to private for him, Haru! Especially before... saying that part about something terrifying happening?? ] Oh... What... kind of thing happened? And, uh-
[ His voice isn't hiding confusion and worry well at all, but then... this is him. ] How long've you... been here, exactly?
[ Er... so there are only five of th-... ...wait, did she really just say... ] H-hang on, did you just say... Akechi?
no subject
[Fighting shadows and all that is different. They don't drain you of emotion.]
I've been here since...June I believe so...Nearly four months. [She nodded slightly.]
I did... He admittedly was the last person I expected here. [Not in the same way he might.]
no subject
... The hell...?
[ He's quiet for a moment, but he's totally, perfectly, one hundred percent not shuddering just a little at the thought of spirits breaking through some barrier and doing- whatever they must have done???
HE AIN'T SCARED-A NO GHOSTS.] What kind've stuff'd they even do?[ He, uh... doesn't entirely wanna know. But he should probably find out, just in case something like that ever happens again. Even if he's quietly begging for the universe to never let it happen again? Because...
...just because. Actually. ] Four months...? How's the hell's... that even possible?? You were just with me'n the others... We were at a beach... er...
[ RIP Ryuji Sakamoto's brain.
It didn't see much light of day, but it had a good run. ] ...you sure?
[ HOW COULD SHE NOT BE SURE ABOUT SOMETHING LIKE THIS, RYUJI...? ]
no subject
[She paused for a moment. They were at a beach. Haru looks rather puzzled.]
At the beach? When was I at the beach?
[She nodded. She was getting just as confused right about now.]
audio;
His happiness won't stop him from delivering a snarky response, though.]
The Phantom Thieves? Is that a band or something?
no subject
...Even if the whole matter of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts has changed considerably since it was first formed. Something he still hasn't fully worked out his feelings on, even if he's kept quiet on that. The world was saved, and their not being able to go into the Metaverse was a sacrifice he'd gladly make, over and over again! Doesn't mean... he's going to be ridiculously thrilled that that's something they had to give up, right?
When he speaks, it's likely clear that he's smiling super wide. ] Yeah, and they're super badass. Even if the lead singer spends most've the time tellin' cat puns instead've actually singin'... [ A beat (ha). ] ...I've heard he's gotta great personality to make up for it.
[ A soft 'heh' can be heard before he continues. ] Already talked to Haru some. I'm still not sure what to even make've this place. The hell kind've kidnappers give out free shit to the people they kidnapped?
no subject
He lets out a soft chuckle at Ryuji's response.] Wow, he sounds like the purrfect guy. I wish I could meet him. [That's what he gets for bringing up cat puns.]
I've been here for around four months, so I've managed to gather a good amount of info about this place. We were brought here by five spirits that correspond to each of the cities, though their exact method of summoning us isn't known. Genessia was created as a way to save sentient life, so unless that turns out to be a lie, they really do just want us to live out our lives here. It's a nice thought, and there are definitely people who are better off here than their own worlds, though I also take issue with the fact that they bring over plenty of lives that didn't need to be saved in the first place.
[You know, like everyone from their group minus Akechi. He totally needs to be here.]
no subject
Guess I should've seen that one comin'... [ But, naturally, he doesn't sound genuinely exasperated, all things considered. And he's going quiet as he's given a rundown. Four months...? Spirits? Saving sentient life?? It's... a lot to take in, to accept, and...
...heh. Seriously?? They were brought here to live out their lives? Though, uh... he... seconds the matter of one person from their world being here. Let that guy... have this, but as for the rest of them? And why only some of their group?? The hell, man...?!
It's after Akira's gone quiet long enough to indicate he's done talking, that he'll be able to hear the reaction...
And that sure is a heavy exhale, a soft grumble-like sound, and a sound that's the result of him... letting his hand (that just so happens to be balled into a fist) hit the wall behind him. Though the fist-against-wall is easiest to hear, which is the only indication that he's lowered the phone closer to waist-height during all this...
But the phone is back to his ear, and he's finally expressing the reason for that reaction: ] Nice thought...? This sounds more like they're just collectin' people and forcin' 'em into playin' house! Like we're...
[ A bunch of sentient dolls?? It's actually a little creepy, put that way. But then it's kind of already creepy, thinking a bunch of ghosts did this?? He can only imagine how Makoto or Ann might react, since it's enough to send a chill down... his spine. Only a little.
He's fine.
This is effin' fine. ] ...Yeah, I get... some of belongin' here. I mean, there are- some who didn't get much of a chance... but still. They're playin'- God... This ain't the same as tryin' to guide people down a better path -- it's actually takin' people away from their lives!!!
[ But... the rant's over as quickly as it started, and there's a faint sound of him sliding down the wall. It's after he's in a sitting position, he releases a sigh. But that's it. He's falling quiet. ]
voice;
Goro was hoping it was Kitagawa to come in next, if anyone else had to come in from this god-forsaken team. He can't say he's not disappointed. The idea of having a conversation piece to stick behind his head for video calls for a splash of color on his empty white wall in an equally empty apartment was nice while it lasted. He might have jinxed it. All well.
He could not engage but, seething internally with rage or not, he wants to see what else he can know after Futaba's gracious information. If he had to guess, Ryuji was the last one let in on all the plans. ]
I believe the privacy menu is put under 'options'. That would be the gear icon in the corner, then select the lock... [ Sugary friend tones do the body good. ]
no subject
His exhale is as unsteady as it is shallow, and he winds up breathing in at the same time he's trying to swallow -- the end result is him choking on his own spit. The seconds seem to pass by at a ridiculously slow pace, and it feels like several minutes pass before he's finally able to speak, rather than just... a little over one minute. ]
Y-... you're-- [ It's a little gruffer and deeper than normal. Choking has a way of doing that. He's lowering the phone to stare down at the screen for a moment... Is this... This has to be a joke. Right? Or just... someone happens to have a similar voice...
... It could be a ghost. But like hell he's entertaining that thought. A cold chill is already running down his spine. He takes a moment to clench, and then release his jaw. ] How're you here.
[ It's not really... a question, more than it's a demand. How the hell is this even possible... unless... heh. More lies? Maybe he tricked them into thinking he'd died? Ryuji wouldn't actually put it past this smart bastard to find a way to do something like that, but then how could he trick even Futaba?
Augh, his goddamn head hurts... ]
no subject
This is an interesting reaction. Now that he knows they know what they know, he wasn't expecting the nicest greeting. But the sound of Akechi's voice shouldn't be such a surprise that Sakamoto almost suffocated to death on his own saliva. Geez. How over-dramatic. ]
How are any of us here? [ If shrugs were audible, this would be what they sounded like. ]
no subject
...punch him... actually.
Not that he would, even if Akechi were right here in his face, but this guy had always grated on his nerves. The fake smiles, the obvious lies, the air of smugness and arrogance he always hides behind...
And even though he thinks he gets his a little, it's still... damn frustrating . ] Hell if I know how we got here, but... it makes more sense for us to be here...
[ ...Okay that doesn't make half as much sense as he was going for. He sighs and it possibly sounds a little... weary? Defeated? Honestly it's a mixture of emotions, including conflict.
His tone is serious. ] You remember what happened on Shido's ship, right...?
private now.
Akechi doesn't respond right away outside of an inhale of breath. Bracing. Shido and his ship puts him on edge immediately. This is going to be the information he was seeking out. His finger is going over the screen of the device to those damn privacy settings before he gets blindsided again like with Futaba.
She said he told them to change the man. Wrong wrong. Something's wrong here. Some part of his head produces an answer. It keeps getting dismissed for other possibilities. Impossible. Absolutely not. Not that outcome. ]
I don't recall being in there with the rest of you.
hooo boy............
He doesn't... even remember being in there with them?? Is this some kind of joke? A damn lie to mess with Ryuji's head? Hell, after all the lies he's heard from this guy, always with a smile or straight face, he's not sure what to believe. The guy was able to smile right in Akira's face, even knowing what he had to do...
What he was willing to do...
His teeth grit together, eyes narrowing down at the screen... He could be lying, or maybe -- maybe he's telling the truth. What if this is some case of amnesia? Should he remain in the dark until he remembers naturally, or... Goddamn it, is this really even his place?? Not that he wants to leave this to Akira, since the guy's got enough on his plate as it is.
Finally, he sighs... ] You serious...?
[ He doesn't want to do this over the effin' phone. But there are some things he guesses he could say for now. ] Your dad's a piece of shit... Not that I've gotta tell you that. He had his own plans all along. I'm not goin' into that on this thing. You wanna know more...
[ Augh... He releases a frustrated sigh, pausing to scratch at the side of his head. Finally, he sets his mind. ] ...pick a place to meet. Don't get me wrong -- I still don't like you, but... guess ya deserve to know. Especially after all that happened... [ frustrated sigh ] ...it's the least I can do.
[ The sooner he knows, the sooner this guy can start- ...maybe... (he won't hold his breath, but) ...changing for the effin' better, or something. Maybe a part of this is guilt. Maybe some part of him honestly does feel like he could have -- should have... -- done more. Akechi's a shitty guy, but he's a shitty guy who might have been less shitty with a friend to smack him upside the head every time he was an idiot...
...Sigh. ]
this is happening
There's an odd approach to this. An unusual tone coming from Ryuji, who is usually loud. He hates it and he hates what he's saying. ] His had own plans... [ The words are echoed out quietly. Thoughtful. Distant. He can't say he's all that surprised. The man was "a piece of shit" as just bluntly stated. Shido had his own plans so he was going to screw him over.
That's what it was then. He would have had no other choice but to join them because he would be cornered. Shido wouldn't let him through. Why didn't they just tell him that? Futaba could've told him that. He can put those pieces together. The only revenge he could get would be to join them. What's so hard to say about that? It's obvious at that point. It's not like Shido actually succeeded with any these plans.
A sinking feeling he's had since Futaba opened her mouth, ever increasing. A detail he can't pick out that can be put in with the information he has. Sympathy from Ryuji to hear it. Does he want it? He deserves to know, right?
Pick a place. Not somewhere crowded. Somewhere quieter. Out of the way. ]
Thistle and 8th. The park there. It rarely has visitors.
he isn't ready???? but... action!
Akechi sounds so-... different? He can't put a finger on it, but it's almost unnerving. Almost. He's kind of seen him at what he's assuming is his worst. Though this guy doesn't exactly remember saving the group, so he's got no clue what to expect once he drops all these bombs on the guy. Heh... is this a mistake?
Guess he'll find out.
He's already pretty much committed to this whole thing, so no going back. So, he's already repeating that location over and over in his head. He'll be putting it into the phone once they hang up, just to be safe. He's gonna... have to probably ask around a few times to make sure he gets to the right place... ] Thistle and 8th... Got it.
[ No harm repeating it to make sure he heard him right... There's a sigh. ] 'Kay... See ya there, then.
[ After they hang up, he is in fact putting that location into his phone. With everything going through his head, though, some part wouldn't be surprised if he's remembering it wrong already... but...
Fortunately, he didn't.
It takes him a while, still, since this is kind of his first day. After some asking around, he manages to get there. He isn't looking around just yet, but he's right there in the open. He's staring at the ground for the first several seconds, expression tense. Even though he's already repeated everything in his head, over and over, he's still actually... unsure? of the wording.
Akechi isn't exactly stable -- he might not like the guy... might have some major effin' problems with everything he did and everything he tried to do, but... well...
...he can't... be so sure he wouldn't have done some of the same shit, in those very same shoes, right? Maybe that's what unnerves him the most. If his dad had actually managed to kill his mom, like he tried to do a few times -- like he almost did do once...
Where the hell would he be, right now...? It's easy as hell to say he'd never do anything like what this guy did, but that's because he didn't actually live through that exact situation, right? He's never been in foster care. Barely knows anything about it, other than it's a shitty life to be in. He's never been without his mom. He's never had the eyes of social media -- of so many people directly on him. And the thought of killing his dad was only something that ever crossed his mind in his darkest moments, curled up on the bathroom floor, trying not to cry from the pain...
Goddamn it...
...Deep breaths.
This'll be over before you know it, Sakamoto.
It's fine. ]

Shido was going to screw him over. It was always something he knew was a possibility. But Shido didn't understand things as well as he did, he thought. Akechi is smarter. He was careful. His title was built on lies but he was still skillful in that area - that's how he found him in the first place. He never openly said anything negative about the man. He would always have the upper-hand, even if the unspeakable things he was asked to do slowly chipped away at him. He would still win in the end.
Taking a heart sounds like a cheap victory to him. Shido deserves worse. His mother deserved better. He deserved better. And Akira and Okumura have been lying to his face about it since he got here. Pretending to be nice. They knew. They really knew. The whole team knew. Somehow it hurts to know they were lying right back at him. He thought they were above doing what he did. Someone in the world was supposed to not mind that he was there.
He's been internalizing the increasing anger over all of this for days. Gripping everything a little harder. Smiling a little tighter and letting it drop quicker when there aren't eyes on him. Trying to focus on anything else by burying himself in work. Riding a bike for hours in circles when there is nothing left to work on. Loki broke something the other day - a counter top in his kitchen. It was satisfying at the time then hollow every moment after. The thought has occurred more than once to just let everything else get smashed to bits. But that's only a temporary fix and a large mess he'd have to deal with later. So he holds it in. Like everything else.
Sakamoto isn't hard to pick out when he arrives, only a moment later than he did. Passing etched messages in stone to people who aren't actually gone to approach him. ]
Hello, Sakamoto. I hope it wasn't too hard to find the place. [ Well? ]
no subject
Even after hearing it over the phone, even after talking to the guy, even knowing he's somehow here. That time between Earth and this place somehow doesn't line up exactly. Haru and Akira have been here for months. Akechi is dead, back on Earth, from the time Ryuji's from. None of it makes sense, yet it feels like focusing on the fact none of it makes sense, could maybe somehow make this make more... sense... somehow?
But, ha... he's just some idiot, right? Thinking about this kind of stuff isn't where he shines. No, his place to shine... doesn't even exist anymore, and he's-- ...stuck with something like this, now.
He's staring at Akechi a little harder than he means to. His expression gives way too much away: confusion, first and foremost. A wariness, a sense of lingering bitterness (though, it's debatable whether it's just towards Akechi, himself), a lot of shit that he's not really looking forward to letting into his voice. But. ]
...Coulda been worse. [ One hand is resting on his hip now, head turned so his face isn't fully visible. It's as his other hand tightens into a fist, he releases some dry, humorless, mostly-breathed-out laugh. ] Funny...
[ It's not funny. ]
Told myself a lot've things, on the way here. The kinda shit I'd say right to your face... Hell, even back on Shido's ship, I imagined all the shit I could've probably said -- you're a... an idiot... [ He's looking right at Akechi, now. ] You've done a lotta messed up shit... but... that don't mean you deserve what happened...
[ A sigh, and he's rubbing at the back of his neck. There's a glare being directed at the ground. ] ...Guess, for now, you just need to know where your actions got you. Maybe -- not that I'm gonna hold my breath, or anything, but... maybe it'll snap you outta this--... whatever goes on in that head've yours!!
[ YES. HE'S STALLING. HE DOESN'T WANNA SAY THE NEXT PART...
But, after glancing around a little, he shifts his stance and just... pushes the rest out: ]
...After you tried stoppin' us in Shido's palace, the cognitive you showed up. Said he was sent there to...
[ He's clearly uncomfortable. ] ...It was somethin' Shido'd already... planned to do, apparently.
[ Heh... he... can't say it, after all. It's a simple effin' word, but he can't say it. The whole damn thing was so messed up then, anyway, and this isn't the part he really wanted to elaborate on! It just happens to be the part he has to get through first... Augh...
...
... ] Look... you're nobody's puppet, all right? You were used by a shitty adult... just like... a lot of us were. Shido's-- he was scum! My own dad was a piece of--... ...but...
[ ... ] ...he was nothin' compared to yours. Damn it...
[ His head's a mess, so maybe it's no wonder he's jumping around so much. But, he'll get back to it... ] Anyway, you... saved our lives, man.
[ ...It's hard enough thinking back to this, but... actually trying to describe how...? ] You- ...shot at some switch that caused a huge door to shut between you'n... us. You said we'd all die if we tried-
[ He looks honestly pissed off... An unsteady, sharp intake of air can be heard as he narrows his eyes for a moment. ] You decided we'd all be weighed down by you...! So we- couldn't get to you... You took on that cognition and all the Shadows by yourself, and--
[ Damn it... ] Even if you can't remember! You're an idiot! We all could've-! We could've all got out together!
no subject
There's a step he takes to the side, trying to get that better angle when Sakamoto's head gets turned away. It's harder to read a person when they're not looking at you. Unless they're Akira. That one is impossible to read at times.
It happened on Shido's ship. They were all there at the same time. He got as much out of Futaba that he helped them. Why? What transpired in between? Shido would have made a move against him if he knew he was going to do something to him. He sharpens his face at being called an idiot. Sakamoto has no idea how well he thought this out. There was no other options.
Stalling. Stalling. While he can easily play the role of someone with far more patience, he's lacking at the moment. The longer it goes, the harder his expression gets. Annoyed to irritated. He can't snap out of anything. JUST SAY IT.
And then. He did try to fight them. Stop them. He knew it wasn't lining up. Futaba's a liar by omission. That isn't helping. He actually attacked them. Full power against the entire time. The thought of it is almost exciting. Wonder how well they did. But his heart started racing for another reason all together. Masayoshi Shido's Cognitive Goro Akechi. He never spoke to it before but he had a pretty good idea of how that thing acted. A puppet to be controlled. Jump and it would have said how high.
He supposes it wasn't a completely inaccurate representation at the time.
Ryuji Sakamoto didn't say what it did. Not outright. But he's not an idiot, despite the claims. He can figure it out. Shido wouldn't take disobedience. Wouldn't take failure. Akechi would have done both at that point and he wasn't needed when there was no one left to oppose him. The last loose end that needed to be cut off. Eliminated. That's it then. ]
You can't even say it, you fucking coward.
[ It's spit out spitefully. Why won't they just tell him? The anger hits. An inhale of sharp breath and Goro's eyes finally go off of him, clenched tightly shut before he looks down. Unfocused and left staring at a spot on the floor. A crack in the pavement on a beautiful memorial.
He's still talking but the words hardly register after that. Pity? Sympathy? Probably pity. ]
After I tried to kill you all? That doesn't make any sense. [ It comes out with a bit of a laugh to it. Disbelieving. A dead-man walking making a last move to help them. He can think of a reason why and it would be just so something horrible happens to Shido. Some sort of revenge, however unsatisfactory it would have been. ]
Together. Sure. You say that now. You don't have to pretend to feel bad about this, you know. I appreciate you telling me out of some sort of obligation for the deceased but you can stop there.
Action;
.... Ryuji...?
[She followed the voice until she was in sight, giving him a look.]
Wow, you're loud no matter where you go. [Sup Ryuji. Would you like a way to their home up until they move?]
no subject
...which he'd take at this point, because it'd mean he was here, too (not that he'd ever say something like that).
A-anyway, he's actually just going to flash a small grin for now. ] Hey, it made it easier for me to be found, didn't it? Not like you can cheat and use your Oracle powers to hunt anyone down anymore...
[ ...As much as he'd love that, because it'd mean the Metaverse existed here. Sigh. ] Man, it's great to see you, though...
[ And he's half-muttering the rest, his face a bit tense. ] Too bad I can't say that about everyone I've seen here, so far...
[ Because... one just brings way too many complicated feelings with him. Not that it isn't great he gets another chance a life here, but... is he even going to take advantage of that?? Or is he just going to wind up doing some shady shit here, too? Goddamn it, he wishes it was as simple as knocking some sense into the guy--
... well that could work, right? It worked with people's hearts, right? And their final encounter with Akechi did involve beating the crap out of him. Hmmm... ]
no subject
[But she really is glad to see him.]
Yeah, I wonder how many of us will end up here. You must have spoken to Akechi, I take it.
.... I may have stirred the pot a little...
no subject
...and of course she's immediately guessing he's talking about that guy. There's a quiet sigh as he briefly rubs a hand against the back of his neck. His expression drops as he looks away for a moment. ]
... If you just stirred, I probably dumped the entire thing over.
[ But... honestly? He'd rather take some time to get a firm grasp on this new situation. Just for now. He'll figure out his feelings on Akechi later. Hell, the whole group (of... those here right now, anyway) probably needs to have a meeting on how they plan to deal with the guy being alive and well...
For now, he's frowning and releasing a frustrated sigh. ] Say, uh...
[ His stomach is growling loudly and he presses a hand to it with an almost defeated look... ] ...any chance you've seen a decent place to eat around here? I feel like I haven't eaten in at least two days...
no subject
[Because she already feels a little bad for making matters worse, but this was Ryuji.... She had to wonder how he made it worse.
... But that passed quickly upon his next question, making her chuckle lightly.]
I'm... not all that familiar with Genessia City, but I'm sure we could find something. I think I saw a cafe nearby?
no subject
[ He could've just wait until the group's together to come out with that one, but... no point outright hiding anything, when he'd already brought up as much as he did, right?
...Well, anyway.
A groan-filled sigh is given, but he brightens up at the mention of a cafe, even grinning a little. ] Doubt it'll be anything like Leblanc... but, hey! Why not?
[ Just because he doesn't like coffee, doesn't mean he can't try other stuff in this new place... ] If you're okay with it, anyway...
no subject
[She can't help but blurt that out in her shock at hearing he told him everything. She realized where they were though and lowered her voice again, trying to seek out the right words to say. She'd told Akechi vague events to keep from really hammering in the last nail... To spare Akechi at least a little bit...
He was kind of a douche, but under different circumstances, he could have be their friend... They could have teamed up legitimately and taken down Shido together. He did a lot of unforgivable stuff, but he didn't deserve to go down the way he did.
Here Futaba thought she messed up with not setting on the privacy settings -- it completely slipped her mind -- but this.... They really did make things all that more worse, didn't they...? She was quiet for a while, hand covering her mouth while she was lost in thought. How was Akechi coping right now if he knew...? She... actually felt bad for him.
Right... The cafe...]
It's... this way.
[She finally said something, starting towards the cafe that she saw on her way there. Normally she'd probably feel a bit uneasy with so many people around, but she was too lost in thought to pay attention to it.]
