Combat Team
With that in mind, he appeared inside of the main entrance of the plant and he brought the combat team in with him. The alarm was loud and blaring and he was sure the security bots would be on them in no time. ]
Good luck. [He vanished just as quickly as he had appeared, leaving the combat team to do their job.]
Ready up errbody glhf
No time to reflect on the applications of Haller-based infrastructure. Now was the time for final pre-battle preparations before they started the diversionary assault. First order of business: ensure everyone was present and accounted for.]
Combat team, sound off!
[There wasn't much time before the bots would be upon them, so she'd have to be quick sharing the blessings of the Dragons with her team. Everyone willing will receive the following buffs:
All-Encompassing Earth Sense, essentially Toph-sight, for ambush-prevention. Works only on the ground floor.
Enfolded in the Dragon's Wings to immunize the team from her own destructive abilities
Armor Hardening Concentration and Blazing Courageous Swordsmen Inspiration to improve armor and inherent toughness
...and at that point, the first wave of bots are closing in, almost into engagement range. Any more enhancing Charms will have to wait.]
Incoming! Battle formation! [General Tepet readies her Daiklave and takes up a position at the head of the group alongside the frontline fighters.]
glhf nerds let me know if i do anything wrong kk?
The second the teleportation was finished with, the scaled woman's face broke out into a feral grin as she slams her dull black-gray gauntlets together, the impact activating her Darksteel artifact gauntlet's Power Field function, the rough, heavy looking black metal lighting up with golden-yellowish energies that would, hopefully, more effective against the expected mechanical opposition than her own claws, the Power Field making her gauntlets even more effective at breaking non-magical or energized weapons and armor. With a barely perceptible movement, Adeline settles into the base stance of the Setting Sun school, the defensive fighting style used best to gauge the opponent and to use the bot's strength against them. If she got a better idea of how the bots fought, she could switch to her Diamond Mind or Shadow Hand schools, schools that were more effective if one knew how and when to hide or feint an opponent.]
Adeline here. S'bout time. Let's see what this burg's got!
[Announces the woman as she flings herself into combat, her hard scales and training sure to make her more resistant to damage than the average human, artifact gauntlet weapon blazing as she moves like the wind to fight the bots, noting with a mildly piqued air the sudden feeling of magic that wasn't magic washing over her, adding to her own perceptions and natural toughness. So that was what that prissy stick-up-her-ass cutter could do huh? Interesting.... she'd have to talk to her later about that trick.
Didn't matter know as the first wave of bots approached of course, but something for her to keep in her mind.]
Sorry for the delay!
[After taking steps to bring calm to the chaos to 'acceptable' levels, Satsuki has eventually managed to arrive at the agreed upon time, looking about as annoyed as one might expect.
She's probably not alone either.
Unlike during her last battle, Satsuki doesn't raise a fuss about receiving any boosts, though it is a bit regretful she doesn't really understand what's happening to gain them- On the other hand, the sooner this all gets worked out, the better. The first wave consists of six K-911 warriors and two bulky Knightvision droids; the latter stand behind the group of canine-like droids.]
The two in the rear sport somewhat familiar designs, [Satsuki says with furrowed brows.] I believe they are mechanisms built for gathering intelligence, so will likely keep their distance.
glhf don't engage without the full team!
She didn't charge in right away when Adeline engaged the enemy, instead glancing up at Satsuki. "Miss White? If you use Buggy I'll help you stay grounded with my powers. And I'll help your magic too. So that way you can be really really focused. So don't be afraid of going all out if you need to, okay?"
She turned her attention to the advancing robots, her unpleasant aura growing as she summoned her power. She would need something much more than danmaku. Raising her arms to her temples, a twisted bramble began growing in the mass of robots, the thorns digging into the metal. These vines would grow roses occasionally, the flowers splitting apart, the individual petals exploding as they came into contact with any surface. The little satori followed this attack up with several jagged lances of thought, the beams physically battering the robots. These attacks had the added benefit of creating a lot of light, revealing more of the room to those without night vision.
She didn't seem to be taking the fight all that seriously, however, spinning a little between the attacks, a clear smile on her face. Well, knowing how Koishi fought when she was actually angry it was probably for the best.

Kunzite would be disgusted if he knew. Kunzite, who longed to blanket the world in darkness...beautiful darkness. Zoisite isn't overly fond of light either, but he can't fix his hair in the dark. And some of the plants at the garden center need it.
And Zoisite just plain dislikes things that get in his way. No matter how inconsequential.]
Zoisite, third of the Four Heavenly Kings, reporting.

Dark Adonis Vyers, City Guardian of Attleton, reporting~ Hmhm, is this really all of them? They do not stand half a chance against our power!
[It certainly made things interesting, seeing so many of the City Guardians and their allies gather together at once like this, and joining them in a fight rather made him feel at home.
Regardless, now Attleton's issues were over, he wanted to do what he could to help the other city in it's time of need.]
En guarde!
[And with that, he let his body float up in the air a little way, a large ball of power forming above his hands that he threw into the robotic frontline.]
is anyone gonna be like "GMing" this or are we all kinda just doing whatever? Am _I_ assumed-GM? idk
Choose your targets, take them down! Stick together, check your corners, and head for the generator. [That was enough direction for now. Battlefield micromanagement was rarely much use, and certainly not with such an unfamiliar and... diverse unit.]
[Rather than join Adeline's headlong assault, the general opted to blast one of the dog-shaped robots with a fire-aspected Elemental Bolt, melting it near-instantly to scrap, the corrosive green glow of her Anima intensifying at the Essence expenditure.
The bots were springing into action now, having reached engagement range. The pair of Knightvision droids seemed to be scanning the group while the remaining K-911s rushed forward to intercept Adeline's charge]
I was just waiting for you because I assumed a post order was in effect
Poke 'em in the eyes, got it! Dibs on th' blighters in the back!
[Grinning, she used her quick feet to dart in and over the crowd of dog-bots to engage one of the Knightvision droids, her gauntleted hands lashing out quickly to keep the amount of information they could learn about the group down by forcing it to focus on her[
I wouldn't mind GM'ing, I just plan to keep it brief with our numbers. :o
[Satsuki replies to Vyers with a slight frown. Still as trying as he can be, it is nice to see another familiar face. Satsuki doesn't appear to be in any particular rush to draw bakuzan until one closes in on her which she cleaves into two perfect halves. The heroes thus far are making pretty short work of the first wave- especially the front lines as 4 of the 6 of the k9s are obliterated and Adeline quite easily draws attention from the back group and make them both scan her to attempt to determine an elemental weakness. This also allows Koishi to easily easily root them in place and damage.
Of the last of the two, both focuses on Zoisite and attack by extending their tongues to try and capture his ankle then send out a paralyzing shock of electricity.]
And I do not plan to just yet, Komeiji, but I shall keep that in mind.
(OOC: I'll post the next wave after Vyers)
:D sweet
Stay with the group? That is the exact opposite of what she should do. With her unsettling aura it would inhibit her allies more than the robots they were fighting.
She darted forward, nearly invisible, several of her tendrils sliding from her sleeves, the heart shaped ends saturating with magic. She lashed forward with them, dodging and weaving between the bots, battering them apart. More brambles trailed behind her, tangling them further and laying down a thorny trap for the second wave.
Thank you ^^
Wow, Koishi was certainly an impressive fighter, he thought as her spells caught his attention. Those brambles and magic heart bolts? Definitely good taste as well. Satsuki's swordsmanship was also akin to something he would expect back home. Was she really a human? Impressive indeed. Adeline, Tepet and Zoisite were definitely showing their merits as well. He vanity would not see any of them were as skilled as he was, of course, but he was definitely enjoying seeing what all of them were capable of. Perhaps a Guardian grand tournament would need to follow this? Hm...
Their party all seemed to be doing a fine job, the front line falling quickly as far as he could see. He imagined more would come soon, but he wanted to gain some ground now whilst they had the chance. Midboss moved forward, kicking out at any robots who came close
even if he did wince because goodness those metal things hurt his foot. He was grateful for Tepet's buffing abilities right now."Ow! You will pay for that!"
I LIVE
It seems the power plant isn't going to give the group the luxury of wiping everything out before moving on to the second wave, however. The robots have determined that the lights, dim as they may be, are providing them an advantage-
And so they proceed to flicker, then go out entirely, leaving the rooms pitch black save for the lights blinking upon their enemies. After that happens, there is the sound of light-weighted metal lifting in which several more lit enemies appear; right out of the wall which flank the group from the front -and- the rear now.
In the rear group, one set of lights is completely unfamiliar. Behind it are the familiar lights of two more knightvision droids, and at the front familiar lights of four K-9s. (The area becoming lit in any manner would reveal the unfamiliar to be the very durable 'little buddy' droid and the position to be an extremely defensive one.)
The front group is a very large pack of the K-9s, eight of them, to add to the two Knight visions being dismantled. The dog-like robots waste no time striking first since they don't need to see in light, so everyone has to deal with extendable, shocking tongues being shot their way.
good thing everyone has temporary Tophsight huehuehue
Don't stop advancing! Vyers, Zoisite, defend the rear! Everyone else carve a path forward!
[With the automata already reinforcing, there was little chance they'd let up anytime soon. If she was going to buff the team and their weapons any further, Ejava would have to make an opening. An Earth-aspected Elemental Blast impacted the ground just in front of Adeline, bursting into an explosion of elemental Essence that knocked the K-9s momentarily off their feet, sparing her allies thanks to the protections she'd granted them. The brief respite bought enough time for her to follow up with Dragon Blade Beneficence. Elemental Essence of all Aspects roiled over the surface of her Daiklave, Satsuki's blade, and Adeline's power gauntlets, empowering them with additional elemental effects.]
[OOC: if anyone else has melee weapons I missed, they get the same buffs.
The buffed weapons gain the following on-hit effects:
Fire: extra damage
Wood: extra damage
Earth: knockdown
Air: penalty to target's next action
Water: slows down target's next action]
And people can see normally again.
"Miss White! Be careful, okay? Humans can't see in the dark." You didn't really have to INFORM her of that Koishi. "I'll fix it!" Wait...
She took off like a rocket, hovering above the advancing robots and tucking into a ball, somersaulting a short way. Danmaku wasn't good for actual fights, and neither were spellcards. However sometimes their utility could be put to good use... and no one said you couldn't turn up the magical potency so they did some real damage either.
"Superego."
Koishi lit up like a beacon drawing in the robots around her like a black hole, her entire body sparking with potent magic. the robots that touched it were sliced to ribbons, drawing in blue magical hearts to batter the ones that didn't get close enough to touch.
Unfortunately this only destroyed those nearest her, though it was rapidly drawing more in, the suction growing stronger the closer they got. And, while the spell provided some light, it wasn't enough to light the whole room.
Dragons don't need light to see
And then the lights went out. Adeline's reptillian eyes gleamed in the dark, visible to the rest as pinpricks of yellow and black gleaming in the dark. "Well, that's prolly not good. More comin....got the ones in the back!" She said using the explosion to flip over to the backline once more, furiously attacking the scanbots again, her buffed gauntlets striking and lashing out, once more intent at drawing their aggro as she shifted into her martial style, the defensive cautious movements replaced by the sneaky and sudden lashes of the Shadow Hand style.
It's been a while so I'm going to continue. The others can jump in once they get back.
The 'Superego' spell certainly does its damage, the knocked over K-9s are a prime target for it with more than half of the group caught within and diced to ribbons and sparks- Adeline's fire not only finish off the Knight Vision droids in a spectacular display of flame, sparks and combustion but assists in the K-9s demise as well leaving them a mere three that Satsuki easily handles with a flurry of slashes of her blade that ends up doing far more than she had expected and are torn apart.
With the front line cleared, the group can see that a diagonal-traveling lift that heads to the generator is within reach and rather suspiciously unguarded..
As for the rear line, when Adeline flips over the Buddy-droid, she activates it's counter-attack involving an burst of blue gas along the way; gas with the possible effect of making her fall asleep after her first swing of her fists. Depending on the result; either one or both of the knight droids are damaged by the gauntlet assault and attention taken. The K-9s focused on Zoicite are easily dispatched by Vyers (and possibly Zoicite as well) leaving them to deal with the other four canine-like droids which attack with their extended, shocking tongues.
Also of note that whichever tries to get past it to assist Adeline first is targeted by Buddy's 'Block' technique which places itself directly in the other's path.
Generator Team
They were all surrounded by a shield in case a threat lingered once they appeared.]
Alright. Get to work. Work as fast and efficiently as possible.
no subject
Okay, I'm about to start. It might take me five minutes or so to even get in, so I do apologize for that.
no subject
Just keep me updated on your progress. [He shifts his attention to the entrance in case any robots decide to come through the door.]
no subject
O-Okay, I will try my best.
[He starts typing away, letting Alter Ego know what he was planning as he continued hacking into it.]
I'm not in yet, but I am at least making progress. Is everything else going on okay?
no subject
Seems like the combat team has taken down a lot of bots. [Speaking of bots, the door opens and a Little Buddy bot rolls in. Before it can do anything, though, it is suddenly crushed as if collapsing under its own weight.]
no subject
T-They are hurting the robots, aren't they?
[He turned his head slightly looking back at his screen. He doesn't think he can look back again, at least for now.]
Twenty percent done.
no subject
Does that bother you? [He was asking out of general curiosity. It wasn't often you encountered someone that was empathic to technology.]
no subject
I-It does. I mean that could just be me though but I don't like seeing anyone, human, insect, animal, even robots getting hurt.
no subject
Though as soon as it powers back up, it powers down again.]
That will give you one less robot to worry about. Instead of destroy it, I just removed the charge from its battery. When this is all done, they will recharge it so that it will work once more.
How much longer?
no subject
Just one minute left, so it should be fine. Hopefully nothing bad will happen.
no subject
no subject
[He types of a few things. He knew now he was in, he just needed to sort out a couple of things and that was it.]
I-I guess. I'm nearly done.
no subject
no subject
[Getting in was one thing, getting the right code and getting in to shut it down was another.]
Hopefully I'll be able to figure it out because of the help. [He paused, typing up a few things, he could see it might take a little longer.]
I think something might be happening. Can you go check outside, please? I-If you can of course.
no subject
He slides the door open and peaks his head out and takes a casual looks around.]
no subject
Thank you, Alter Ego. At least now there shouldn't be any more freak outs.
no subject
Did Alter Ego find anything interesting in the system?
no subject
[He just types away quietly for a minute before pausing.]
So things should be fine as I believe I said already.
no subject

no subject
Okay it should be down now.
no subject
Hm...I..really thought it might be something else that was in there. [He closes the portal.]
no subject
I-I don't understand how that could have gotten in there, or how it would cause problems.
