Welcome to After Life. The entrance of the Nova City nightclub has the additional illumination courtesy of a purple neon bat to welcome the party goers, which that little bat seems more inviting than the almost ominous fog coming out of the front doors. Just beyond the door are a variety of glowsticks, should one feel so inclined to equip themselves with them for the night. The varying colored glass tables are trimmed with fake cobwebs with little spider lights illuminating from beneath it while at each table's end has a jack-o'-lantern of different carvings with color changing LED lights inside. The club's colored strobe lighting reflects off of the club's crystalline walls to help lend to the atmosphere in an almost eerie manner, even adding additional color to the fog hovering over the floor.


As the party begins, Gale makes a special introduction to the ladies who helped make the party possible- Yang Xiao Long, Ayame Sasaki, Gwen Stacy and Mikaela Banes. He wouldn't let the party go on without the much deserved recognition for them.

Food and Refreshments

The bar area has a variety of different foods and snacks for people to enjoy. Brownies, cupcakes and truffles from local confectionaries and other, less sugary options like jalapeno poppers, mummy hot dogs, garlic bread snakes, deviled egg spiders, salsa and dipping sauces with bat chips, dragonfly sushi and spooky fruit monsters are laid throughout the table. At the far end of the table is a little animatronic black cat with glowing green eyes.

Looking for something a little heavier than just snacks to eat, in case you missed lunch? Available to you on another nearby table are shaped pasta with varying sauce options, monster burgers, four different bento boxes, and snake shaped calzones each labeled with different pizza toppings for the stuffing. Yes. A few have pineapple in them. Please do not start a war in Gale's club.

There are various labeled cauldrons of non-alcoholic drinks such as water, punch and soda are on the table while other available are drinks such as mixed soda and punch floats and milkshake shots are there. All of the glasses on the table all have googly eyes attached to them. Also on this table is Gale's Cubone, wearing a tiny vampire cape and patrolling around the cauldrons. Don't even think about trying something funny or trying to spike the drinks, because Cubone will smack the culprit's hand with his bone and start wailing to lure the host over. Just don't even do it unless you want thrown out.

Bar Area

Need a beverage of the alcoholic variety? You'll want to visit the local alchemist over here. Overhead of the bar where the drink glasses hang are little bat lights that occasionally flicker and the cobwebs are lined around the edges of the circular bar counter. A pumpkin with the carving of a butterfly sits on the counter top with a flickering purple light within it. Drinks from the bar will be served in beaker and vial glasses.

Dance Floor and Stage

That stage up there sure looks inviting, as if it's just waiting to have one of its musical guests come on stage and steal the show for a short time. In fact, it's very much encouraged to do just that. While the stage is without a DJ or other performer, a preset playlist of the club's usual music as well as a list of Halloween music will cycle through- just be ready for the Monster Mash to play several times during the night. A skeleton is set up near the speakers, and it seems to 'dance' in time with the music. Up above the stage is a web with an animatronic spider that comes down from its web occasionally with flickering red eyes.

If you look closely through the thin veil of fog on the floor, you may notice reflective decals of monstrous footprints leading to the dance floor, as if trying to hint and lead the guests out to get their dance on. But party goers beware, there may be an impromptu dance to Thriller at some point in the night, and your host may judge every single one of you if you don't get in on it.

VIP Room

The VIP Room is a little less rowdy than the main area of the club, and is meant for a more chill atmosphere compared to the rest of the party. The room has its own stage for anyone to take over separate of the main room, but beware, this stage may have its own different kind of horror: Karaoke.

The tables here also have cobweb and spider lights around them and the lights in the room are a little dimmer, to accommodate the rotating bulb that casts shadow creatures on the walls of the room. You may want to come here if you want to eat an actual meal in peace without all the buzz from the bar area.

Employee Lounge

VIP Room not calm enough? Asking Gale or another After Life employee will grant you access to the employee lounge so you can have a little rest on the couches. The only drinks readily available in here is water over on the counter. The noise from the main area is completely nullified in this room. The party goes on all night, don't be afraid to take a breather.



Guests under 16 will receive a small bag of candy for attending, while guests 16 and older will receive some drink coupons to use at any of the three Gale Force club locations.

I. Food and Refreshments

[ He isn't in full costume or anything, but he did nab a cute pair of cat ears on a headband. He makes a beeline to check out the food table and decides that it's a holiday, he can make an exception. Like he's said, from time to time it's okay to let loose and have fun. Prompto has never seen all kinds of strange Halloween food and there wouldn't be much harm in tasting what he can.]

II. Dance Floor

[He doesn't remember ever being invited to a party like this, in a club. Certainly he's been to one with Noct and one of his shadows, but it's been awhile, and it looks like fun. He isn't the type to approach people, but that doesn't mean he won't be dancing where he's standing.]

III. Employee Lounge

[Alcohol, probably, and the crush of people, and possible attention send him hiding in the back room eventually, just a chance to get some air into his lungs. He takes some water and sits on a couch to focus on breathing. In and out and he doesn't have to worry for a moment that he might be making a fool of himself.]

[There aren't too many guys Yang knows who can pull off the animal ear look, outside of an actual Faunus. But he makes it work, she decides, giving a faint nod of personal approval.]

Tried the jalapeno poppers yet? They're super popular.

[She gives the platter a little half-inch nudge toward him, wiggling her eyebrows. Hopefully he doesn't mind mildly spicy food.]

[He hasn't been here too long and didn't really think of a costume, so it was a last minute effort. He smiles at her and swallows.]

Uh, no I haven't!

[He doesn't mind spicy food at all, and he helps himself to one, popping it in his mouth in one go. He lets out a pleased hum.]

[Atta boy! Yang's glad to see her recommendation didn't go awry, winking as she elbows his arm.]

Not bad, right? The whole spread is pretty good, but those are probably the best thing from the caterers.

[She straightens one of the trays, then plants her hands on her hips to nod approval. Table looks good.]

I'm Yang! You new here?

[Prompto smiles, even though he flinches a bit at being elbowed. He was just startled, that's all.]

Really good, I like spicy things.

[She seems to be organizing the tray.]

D-did you do all this?

[He nods a little.]

I am. Pretty new, I mean. I'm Prompto Argentum.

[Yang being strong as an ox probably didn't help cushion the blow either, but there she is, all sunshine and friendliness.]

Yeah? Me too! If you like pineapple on pizza, you might be my culinary twin.

[She winks, then nods her head once, as though to proudly claim her title.]

Nope!

[Or not.]

I just helped out with the decorations. Gale hired the caterers, he's the owner of this place. Nice to meet you, Prompto! Hope you're having a good time so far.

I'm not that picky. [He laughs.] But I like green curry the best.

[Prompto nods a little bit at her]

Yeah, nice to meet you too.

[He smiles and nods and shows off his camera.]

I'm getting a lot of good shots?

Oh yeah? What makes it green?

[Hopefully not kale. Either way, she'll keep his recommendation in mind and see if she can't find a place that has curry.]

[Seeing his camera, Yang beams.]

Sweet, you're a photographer! I'd love to see your pictures after they're developed. Can I ask for a copy?

Dance Floor

[Krista's one love was not the love of a person. It was the love of the dance floor. Krista always enjoyed dancing, it was the time she had to herself, a time she could think for herself back home. It was something she could do in order to hide her emotions or express them in a different way.

It was just fun. A nice escape. When she danced she sometimes forgot about anyone else around her, it was just her time usually. But when one is at a party she was aware she really wasn't alone. As she turned around she spotted that familiar face and that was enough for her to dance her way over.]

Look at you with your cat ears, shaking it up on the dance floor.

[It's sort of surprising when she comes up beside him, but he offers a friendly smile.]

I needed a last minute costume!

[He spoke loud enough for her to hear him, hopefully. He's not super experienced, but he can move to the beat, that's probably enough.]

[Krista made sure to keep dancing in perfect rythm the whole time, she also knew how to talk during loud music.]

So just found cat ears, still counts. if your around next year I'd like to see what you try next.

[He smiles and tilts his head.]

[He supposes it's fine if Noct is around.]

Uh, okay, I mean I d-don't normally dress up or anything but I can try not to disappoint!

Who knows how long this place will keep us if I am perfectly honest. This wouldn't be surprised if you did last a year.

[She smirked slightly, moving to twirl around him, keep moving the whole time.]

You'll be the cat's meow which is never a disappointment.

Huh, how about that?

[He blushes lightly and giggles at her movements, it's a nervous kind of laugh honestly.

...but it turns into a proper belly laugh at her pun, and that just shows what his sense of humour is like.]

Oh!

[He stifles his giggles with one hand and mimes a cat scratching with the other.]

[Hey, it's the kid that was able to see how adorable Elicia really is! Except he's looking a little less than great. Hughes frowns (which probably makes his costume look even more ridiculous) before he heads on over. He takes a seat on the couch next to him but leaves enough space as to not crowd Prompto.]

Hey, you okay?

[chocobosnap]

[What a dad costume. He's looking at the bottle of water in his hands and taking breaths in an effort to calm himself. He jumps a little when Hughes speaks to him and catches his attention.]

H-Hey!

[He offers a shaky looking smile and nods a little]

I will be.

[He looks like he might be trying to offer some further assurances, but he makes a few cut off sounds and glances at the water in his hands again and opts to take a sip to avoid speaking for a few seconds.]

[Seriously, this kid looks like he's been through hell and back at what's supposed to be a party. Hughes can't help but wonder what he'd gone though, and at such a young age.]

Do you want to talk about it? [To him, a stranger? Yeah, probably should rethink that.] Or do you want me to go get someone instead?

[He's either going to hang around back here till he's sure Prompto is okay or he'll stop the whole party to find whoever he needs to talk to but he sure as hell is not about to just leave him when he looks so fragile.]

[A lot, but none of it is really the problem right then, at least he wouldn't think so.]

Oh, w-well it's n-nothing. [Prompto has a hard time getting words out when he's nervous.]

I'm really shy.

[The jumping is a bit more telling than just shyness, but he's had a rough go of it lately.]

A-And a party is a lot f-for me. [He takes a deep breath in and out.] Usually I have my f-friend with me when I do...things.

[Hughes senses that there's more here than just a timid nature, but he's not going to push the case. His priority right now is getting him back to an okay place. Or as okay of a place that he can get to.]

Hey, that's okay; these kinds of things aren't for everyone. [He's guessing his friend is back home if they aren't here with him.] There's a diner around the corner that's probably pretty quiet since everyone is here. Do you want to go there for a bit and relax away from all of the people and the noise?

[chocobosnap]

[He's honestly a little mad at himself that he can't handle a party, he's a grown man after all and he shouldn't still be suffering from social anxiety like a child. The offer is enticing, so very enticing. He nods in agreement.]

Yeah. Th-that sounds good.

[There's probably an employee entrance that they can slip out of and he wastes no time getting to the door, opening it and heading out into the fresh air. The noise doesn't really bother him, it's just everything else all at once. His best friend doesn't happen to be at home, but he also didn't go to the party. He's trying to adapt.]

[ There's someone here dressed as god knows what who is basically stopping people on the dance floor and.. well, everywhere else. ]

Hello! My name is Alice and my friend is attending this party as Halloween itself, so he needs a part of everyone's costume. Do you have anything to donate to the cause!?

[ Though upon examination, there's not much to take. Hmm.... ]

[He's only wearing the cat ears on a headband and he smiles and takes it off, holding it out to her.]

Y-Yeah. I don't mind.

[And now he's not dressed, a perfect excuse to leave!]

Here, I'll help so you can stay!

[ She puts the cat ears on her head for a moment, just so they're out of the way so she can pull out her bag of back-up googly eyes. She apparently bought one of those 500 self-adhesive packs. Which means she's going to start trying to poke some on his face now.

What kind of weird infectuous googly eyed monster is she, who knows... ]

[Oh nuts, so very close to finding a reason to leave.

He jumps a little when she tries to poke one onto his face the first time and takes a slow breath.]

Hehe, sorry. [He laughs nervously, yeah it's fine, this is fine.]

Go ahead.

[Prompto holds still so she can turn him into some kind of googly eyed monster.]

[ She ends up putting googly eyes on his cheeks like an eyeball-smile, then above and under his eyes so he literally has a face that looks like =) made of googly eyes on his face. A+. ]
