Welcome to After Life. The entrance of the Nova City nightclub has the additional illumination courtesy of a purple neon bat to welcome the party goers, which that little bat seems more inviting than the almost ominous fog coming out of the front doors. Just beyond the door are a variety of glowsticks, should one feel so inclined to equip themselves with them for the night. The varying colored glass tables are trimmed with fake cobwebs with little spider lights illuminating from beneath it while at each table's end has a jack-o'-lantern of different carvings with color changing LED lights inside. The club's colored strobe lighting reflects off of the club's crystalline walls to help lend to the atmosphere in an almost eerie manner, even adding additional color to the fog hovering over the floor.


As the party begins, Gale makes a special introduction to the ladies who helped make the party possible- Yang Xiao Long, Ayame Sasaki, Gwen Stacy and Mikaela Banes. He wouldn't let the party go on without the much deserved recognition for them.

Food and Refreshments

The bar area has a variety of different foods and snacks for people to enjoy. Brownies, cupcakes and truffles from local confectionaries and other, less sugary options like jalapeno poppers, mummy hot dogs, garlic bread snakes, deviled egg spiders, salsa and dipping sauces with bat chips, dragonfly sushi and spooky fruit monsters are laid throughout the table. At the far end of the table is a little animatronic black cat with glowing green eyes.

Looking for something a little heavier than just snacks to eat, in case you missed lunch? Available to you on another nearby table are shaped pasta with varying sauce options, monster burgers, four different bento boxes, and snake shaped calzones each labeled with different pizza toppings for the stuffing. Yes. A few have pineapple in them. Please do not start a war in Gale's club.

There are various labeled cauldrons of non-alcoholic drinks such as water, punch and soda are on the table while other available are drinks such as mixed soda and punch floats and milkshake shots are there. All of the glasses on the table all have googly eyes attached to them. Also on this table is Gale's Cubone, wearing a tiny vampire cape and patrolling around the cauldrons. Don't even think about trying something funny or trying to spike the drinks, because Cubone will smack the culprit's hand with his bone and start wailing to lure the host over. Just don't even do it unless you want thrown out.

Bar Area

Need a beverage of the alcoholic variety? You'll want to visit the local alchemist over here. Overhead of the bar where the drink glasses hang are little bat lights that occasionally flicker and the cobwebs are lined around the edges of the circular bar counter. A pumpkin with the carving of a butterfly sits on the counter top with a flickering purple light within it. Drinks from the bar will be served in beaker and vial glasses.

Dance Floor and Stage

That stage up there sure looks inviting, as if it's just waiting to have one of its musical guests come on stage and steal the show for a short time. In fact, it's very much encouraged to do just that. While the stage is without a DJ or other performer, a preset playlist of the club's usual music as well as a list of Halloween music will cycle through- just be ready for the Monster Mash to play several times during the night. A skeleton is set up near the speakers, and it seems to 'dance' in time with the music. Up above the stage is a web with an animatronic spider that comes down from its web occasionally with flickering red eyes.

If you look closely through the thin veil of fog on the floor, you may notice reflective decals of monstrous footprints leading to the dance floor, as if trying to hint and lead the guests out to get their dance on. But party goers beware, there may be an impromptu dance to Thriller at some point in the night, and your host may judge every single one of you if you don't get in on it.

VIP Room

The VIP Room is a little less rowdy than the main area of the club, and is meant for a more chill atmosphere compared to the rest of the party. The room has its own stage for anyone to take over separate of the main room, but beware, this stage may have its own different kind of horror: Karaoke.

The tables here also have cobweb and spider lights around them and the lights in the room are a little dimmer, to accommodate the rotating bulb that casts shadow creatures on the walls of the room. You may want to come here if you want to eat an actual meal in peace without all the buzz from the bar area.

Employee Lounge

VIP Room not calm enough? Asking Gale or another After Life employee will grant you access to the employee lounge so you can have a little rest on the couches. The only drinks readily available in here is water over on the counter. The noise from the main area is completely nullified in this room. The party goes on all night, don't be afraid to take a breather.



Guests under 16 will receive a small bag of candy for attending, while guests 16 and older will receive some drink coupons to use at any of the three Gale Force club locations.

[ Shinjiro doesn't seem to - oh wait. No. Someone has put a set of fuzzy gray canine ears on his head, like a wolf's. He's also wearing gray gloves, and a scowl. Well.

He came in with Akihiko, who has grabbed Shinjiro's axe as his "costume" and was able to escape any other outfit obligations. ]

[ Shinjiro is in his default position - leaning against a wall, vaguely scowling at everyone.

He doesn't seem inclined to join people on the floor, does he? ]

[ He supposes he should find out the legal drinking age for Genessia at some point.

Plus, he thinks he gets to have at least something, after showing up here. ]

[ Peace. Quiet. Asking one of the servers for a space to get his thoughts together was really helpful.

He'll go back out to the party in a few mintues, really. He's just kind of ... overwhelmed. ]

[Scott is internally a nervous break, even if one wouldn't know just by looking at his serious face. He's good at hiding his feelings when he is upset. Now that his eyes beams are back, he is wearing a pair of ruby quarzs glasses that he got costume-made in Nova City. He feels more comfortable wearing them, the glasses show some more of his face than the combat visor and are less heavy.]

As for his 'costume'...Scott is wearing fox ears and dressed only with a pair of jeans and a grey shirt.Horatio follows him around as his 'hound', because Scott has no concept of what constitutes a Halloween spirit and a decent costume. He sighs internally in relief when he spots Shinjiro, happy to see someone who doesn't hate his guts right now. And...he is always happy to see Shinjiro, actually.]

You're the last person I expected to see here after...well, myself. [Scott offers a smile then gestures to the bar.] Mind if I take a seat?

[ Mind you, Shinjiro's 'costume' isn't much better. Considering he's just wearing his normal clothes, beanie included, with the wolf-eared headband shoved on top of it. Scott gets a lot more points for effort.

Shinjiro nodded toward the seat next to him, and used this as an excuse to get rid of another drink ticket. He knew how bad his tolerence was - he had no intention of using all of the tickets he was given. 'Spending' one on Scott was a good way to get rid of it.

He's very glad to see Scott, though. Plus. Now that his friend was back to normal ... ]

Go ahead.

D'you want a beer or somethin?

I was basically dragged here by a friend. [ Smirks. ] So I also dragged Aki here. Only fair.

[On the bright side, none of them is going to criticise the other. Sitting down, Scott gives a quick, brief nod.]Yes, sure a beer sounds good. Thank, you didn't have to.

[Scott isn't much of a drinker either but having a drink to hold will give him something to do with his hands, which is good. He had tucked the tickets he's been given in the back pocket of his jeans and the forgot about them until this very moment.]

That explains it. I was feeling masochistic and came here on my own accord. I was about to leave, really, and then I saw you. Figured suffering the whole party-socializing-things for a little bit longer was worth it if I got to talk to a friend. [Scott gives a small smile and watches at the barman serves them their drinks.] Is Akihiko also wearing animal ears? It's going to seem like we are part of a club.

[He sidles up to Shinjiro with a giggle. Unlike Shinjiro, his own costume was a lot more revealing than usual. He was only wearing shorts, some silver cuffs and necklace and he was carrying around a trident.]

Hiiiii Shinjiro.

[He was grinning, it was entirely possible that Demyx may have been drunk.]

[ Shinjiro saw him from about a mile off, he was kind of hard to miss even in the crowd. He sighed. ]

Least somebody's havin fun.

[He pouts a little, that doesn't seem fair.]

[That's the problem with a busy party, it was completely too much after awhile, and it's all he can do to melt into the wall and then into the employee lounge.

He doesn't even see Shinjiro at first, moving to grab a seat, any seat to sit down and let some fresh, uncluttered air get into his lungs.

Thanks to the healing, his bruises aren't really visible, so he looks better. He's holding a camera in his hands.

He tilts his head back, eyes closed as he takes a couple of breaths. Hard to believe he could feel claustrophobic in a party.]

[ Not so hard to believe. Shinjiro definitely felt claustrophobic back there. It's why he escaped in the first place.

Shinjiro hoped the guy was sleeping well. That was really the worst part, after ... well. He could only guess what had happened, and he really didn't want details.

He spoke up, leaning forward in his chair, hoping he didn't startle the guy. ]

[He is slightly startled, just because he didn't notice Shinjiro, but he opens his eyes and offers a small smile.]

Hey, yeah, I h-had to take a break you know?

[The other guy did too, right? He is a little tired, he is a little haunted, but he's trying his best to have fun, and he even has his camera out, so he's been taking pictures. It's what he always does, so he's throwing himself into his hobby.]

[A wild already tipsy Arelen appears! Okay, so She cheated and used her teleportation technique (how with that much alcohol in her system is a miracle in and of itself), and leaned against the same wall on the dance floor area, her shoulder touching rather firmly against him.]

Hey big, bad, wolf. You look happy to be here. [She grinned with her sarcastic remark, already blushing from the alcohol.]

[ Eyebrow. Man, if he thought Demyx was drunk before. ]

[She sipped the drink in her hand, and leaned her head against his arm where she was already leaning her body. The fake, moving snakes in her wig stopped moving in the spot she leaned on.]

Because that scowl only helps the look with the ears.

[Chiaki had made her way over, wearing her Yuna costume she as trying to be more open and doing more things like she had used to back home before everything went wrong.]

[ ... It's really his own fault for hanging around here, isn't it? Normal sorts of people would see him and ask him to dance. Still. Shinjiro sighed. ]

[Akihiko followed Shinji into the lounge because... because. He wasn't all that keen on the whole party scene. Seemed like a lot of wasted energy to him. So when Shinji sought to retreat, Aki was more than happy to follow.]

Man it's loud out there... I don't know how people stand it..

[ Shinjiro is wincing, because, yes. It was so damn loud. ]

D'you think they're all wearin earplugs, and we just missed 'em handing them out?

[ Only half-joking, there. Oh thank god for comfortable couches. ]

[Colette doesn't really know Shinjiro all that well, but she's seen him around Cassian and Kay enough to know that he must be a good guy, and that's all it takes for her to decide to approach him, determined to turn his frown upside down. She gets up, flattening out the skirt of her costume and heads on over to him, eyes wide with worry.]

[ ... it's that cute girl who hung around the Guardian office. He really didn't remember her name, and he kind of felt badly about it.

Didn't really know what she did there, either, and. Well, that was even worse than not knowing the name thing, was it? His hands fidgeted with the things in his pockets, feeling awkward. ]

Uh. I'm fine?

[ At least the frown was replaced by a confused look. ]

I ... Just don't really like dancin.

[No longer a fraction as groggy as she appeared when she spoke to him over the communicator, Generic Pirate Minako is standing five feet away from him now, pointing a finger of judgment directly at the biggest wallflower in the history of the whole world.]

There are so many cute girls just waiting for someone to ask them to dance, but you're standing here looking cool and brooding! I am shocked. Shocked.

[Shinjiro seemed like a nice person before. Is he shy? Or just horribly clumsy? Or could it be...that he can't dance?]

Come on. I'm giving you dancing lessons, right here and now.

[Since his hands are in his pockets, she'll just seize him by the elbow and tug him along with her. March, buster!]

[ Of course he's standing there brooding rather than asking girls or boys to dance doesn't she know hi ...

He can't just yank himself away from some middle school kid he barely even knows, though maybe that'd be difficult, her grip is surprisingly strong.

Dancin is just swaying back and forth to the music or jumpin up and down a lot. Ain't gotta be taught that.

[Well. Orihime did say she wanted to try everything the party had to offer, and that includes standing awkwardly in the employee lounge. The only thing she hasn't tried is the bar. She has no idea what to do with the drink coupons, because even if she's of age here, she's not of age in Japan, and isn't quite ready to go be a rebellious drunk just yet. Maybe she'll offer the coupons as prizes in their grand opening.]

[There's not really much to do in the lounge except be quiet, though, and it's getting kind of boring. But just when she's about to get up and leave to go try something else, her bakery partner appears. Oh no! Wolf vs chicken! Who will win?!]

...Oh, Shinjiro-san! You came to the party too, I'm so glad!

[ Shinjiro was finding the party was a lot more tolerable if he managed to take small breaks away from it all. It's the only reason he hadn't left after about thirty minutes of this. While the noise, and the atmosphere, and the very location was all overwhelming ... here, he could gather his thoughts.

... That didn't mean that he minded seeing his friend here, though. ]

[Belle's voice is soft and sweet as she looks over that Shinjiro.

She is dressed as little red ridding hood though she has taken her own flare to the costume by making it herself. her dress is red but in the style of dress that she was familiar with. Her hood is lovely and trimmed with a white twisting pattern.

Belle can understand Shinjiro's desire to disappear into the wall. The party is completely new to her but she was trying her best to relax and enjoy herself and she hopes that Shinjiro is able to do the same. It'd be a shame if he isn't able to have fun.]

[ Shinjiro admitted that he felt a little guilty about it.

Belle invited him here, and he came because she was a friend. He wore these silly ears because she was a friend. He didn't turn tail and go home immediately, because she was a friend.

But he was standing to the side of the party, wasn't he? Watching, not taking part. Not being a lot of fun. Scowling, like he always did.

... He didn't know how else to be. ]
