Welcome to After Life. The entrance of the Nova City nightclub has the additional illumination courtesy of a purple neon bat to welcome the party goers, which that little bat seems more inviting than the almost ominous fog coming out of the front doors. Just beyond the door are a variety of glowsticks, should one feel so inclined to equip themselves with them for the night. The varying colored glass tables are trimmed with fake cobwebs with little spider lights illuminating from beneath it while at each table's end has a jack-o'-lantern of different carvings with color changing LED lights inside. The club's colored strobe lighting reflects off of the club's crystalline walls to help lend to the atmosphere in an almost eerie manner, even adding additional color to the fog hovering over the floor.

As the party begins, Gale makes a special introduction to the ladies who helped make the party possible- Yang Xiao Long, Ayame Sasaki, Gwen Stacy and Mikaela Banes. He wouldn't let the party go on without the much deserved recognition for them.

Food and Refreshments

The bar area has a variety of different foods and snacks for people to enjoy. Brownies, cupcakes and truffles from local confectionaries and other, less sugary options like jalapeno poppers, mummy hot dogs, garlic bread snakes, deviled egg spiders, salsa and dipping sauces with bat chips, dragonfly sushi and spooky fruit monsters are laid throughout the table. At the far end of the table is a little animatronic black cat with glowing green eyes.

Looking for something a little heavier than just snacks to eat, in case you missed lunch? Available to you on another nearby table are shaped pasta with varying sauce options, monster burgers, four different bento boxes, and snake shaped calzones each labeled with different pizza toppings for the stuffing. Yes. A few have pineapple in them. Please do not start a war in Gale's club.

There are various labeled cauldrons of non-alcoholic drinks such as water, punch and soda are on the table while other available are drinks such as mixed soda and punch floats and milkshake shots are there. All of the glasses on the table all have googly eyes attached to them. Also on this table is Gale's Cubone, wearing a tiny vampire cape and patrolling around the cauldrons. Don't even think about trying something funny or trying to spike the drinks, because Cubone will smack the culprit's hand with his bone and start wailing to lure the host over. Just don't even do it unless you want thrown out.

Bar Area

Need a beverage of the alcoholic variety? You'll want to visit the local alchemist over here. Overhead of the bar where the drink glasses hang are little bat lights that occasionally flicker and the cobwebs are lined around the edges of the circular bar counter. A pumpkin with the carving of a butterfly sits on the counter top with a flickering purple light within it. Drinks from the bar will be served in beaker and vial glasses.

Dance Floor and Stage

That stage up there sure looks inviting, as if it's just waiting to have one of its musical guests come on stage and steal the show for a short time. In fact, it's very much encouraged to do just that. While the stage is without a DJ or other performer, a preset playlist of the club's usual music as well as a list of Halloween music will cycle through- just be ready for the Monster Mash to play several times during the night. A skeleton is set up near the speakers, and it seems to 'dance' in time with the music. Up above the stage is a web with an animatronic spider that comes down from its web occasionally with flickering red eyes.

If you look closely through the thin veil of fog on the floor, you may notice reflective decals of monstrous footprints leading to the dance floor, as if trying to hint and lead the guests out to get their dance on. But party goers beware, there may be an impromptu dance to Thriller at some point in the night, and your host may judge every single one of you if you don't get in on it.

VIP Room

The VIP Room is a little less rowdy than the main area of the club, and is meant for a more chill atmosphere compared to the rest of the party. The room has its own stage for anyone to take over separate of the main room, but beware, this stage may have its own different kind of horror: Karaoke.

The tables here also have cobweb and spider lights around them and the lights in the room are a little dimmer, to accommodate the rotating bulb that casts shadow creatures on the walls of the room. You may want to come here if you want to eat an actual meal in peace without all the buzz from the bar area.

Employee Lounge

VIP Room not calm enough? Asking Gale or another After Life employee will grant you access to the employee lounge so you can have a little rest on the couches. The only drinks readily available in here is water over on the counter. The noise from the main area is completely nullified in this room. The party goes on all night, don't be afraid to take a breather.

Guests under 16 will receive a small bag of candy for attending, while guests 16 and older will receive some drink coupons to use at any of the three Gale Force club locations.

[Oh. She was going to say, no wonder Pyrrha looked so depressed when Yang ran into her. She wishes she knew what was up with those two, but she can probably guess it's too ugly to talk about.]

Drag him over when you spot him. I still haven't seen him since I came here.

[She grins...and then suddenly affects the most innocent air she can manage.]

And then we can check out each other's boyfriend's costumes.

[ If she asks Weiss, Weiss can dish some parts of it- but she won't do so at a party. That's a conversation better left for private. ]

Sorry. He's really busy, he runs the Beacon Bounty Boards in every city, plus retrieval and sales businesses over in Fayren. I tend to hoard the rest of his time. [ Oops. ]

Each others' boyfriends? [ Spill, woman. ]

[Yang lights up like a torch. She's so excited you don't even know. She's fumbling the notes she kept out of her sash into her hands, arranging them quickly in order to pass them to Weiss.]

It was actually super romantic. I didn't know he could be like that! First he has this person deliver me an envelope...that one, start with that one...and it's playing out like that super cheesy dating game we tried out together...

[Beaming from ear to ear, and even just a little pink in the cheeks, Yang hands her the notes, scarcely able to keep quiet while letting Weiss read, and launching straight back into the narrative each time the reading is complete.]

...and we kissed, and I let him touch my hair, and now he's wandering around here somewhere with my sword and veil so Gale wouldn't bust him for not having an actual costume. ...I kinda feel like I'm going to explode. I'm so excited!

[ There's a brief moment in which Weiss wonders if Mercury chose to go hyper-romantic because she flat-out told him he didn't seem like the romantic type when she told him to just tell Yang how he felt. It's actually really sweet as she reads through them though, and since Weiss knows vaguely about the herpes joke she understands it. It's actually really thoughtful, and she's really impressed with it. And Yang is clearly enthralled, which makes Weiss honestly happy for her.

She's going to have to tell Mercury he did good later, but she'll save it for after the party. ]

I don't blame you for wanting to explode, that's probably one of the most ridiculously romantic stories I've heard about romances around here. [ A beat. ] Probably don't though, I don't think Gale would appreciate indoor fireworks. [ She's sure Yang has shooty weapons somewhere in that gown. ]

[Maybe she does.]

[And maybe she DOES.]

[She looks giddy as she waits for Weiss's reaction. And if it gets back to Mercury, so much the better. She didn't hide her feelings from him, but sometimes it's nice to be reassured by a third party just how well something goes over. He went through all of that planning just for her, and it totally swept her off her feet. It was personal, and perfect, and if she thought she could get away with it she'd be wrapped around his arm for the rest of the night.]

[But boundaries and pacing and all.]

So this means we can go on double dates, if you guys ever want to have a couples' night together! ...Sun's okay with Mercury, right?

[ Nevermind that Weiss doesn't know how the hell to even do a double date, or think that Mercury has manners enough to handle that maturely considering how any conversations about Sun with him usually go (which she's not particularly comfortable sharing with Yang either). Perhaps he'll stop now that he's actually dating Yang, but even more than that.. ]

Sun didn't talk to me after I pardoned Mercury the first time until I was murdered, which I think was more because I didn't talk to him about it first in addition to thinking it was a terrible idea, but.. he's probably not going to be enthusiastic about that idea.

[ It's not like she's ever heard about Sun and Mercury hanging out, after all. ]

Also I have no doubt Mercury will say something we're both going to want to punch him for and Sun has a lot less practice not punching Mercury than I do.

[Yang raises her finger to object.]

...

[She puts her finger back down.]

I dunno. I mean, he's still bad, but I'm enjoying it more. Or maybe he got better? There's a happy medium in there somewhere. He might behave if I promise to wear that cute little nurse costume for incentive.

[But she won't push. She'll just steal a tiny glance at him before pretending she totally didn't do that.]

By the way, unless I literally say not to tell him I said something, you're free to mention anything you want. An invested middleman is kinda fun!

I'll agree to that if you never tell me about what happens with cute little nurse costumes.

[ She doesn't want to know their kinks, thank you very much. Some girl talk is fine. She doesn't want that many details though. ]

I can ask Sun if he wants to but if Mercury makes any comments that he usually does with the sole intent of getting under my skin, I will take a cue from my father so hard he'll have to change his last name from Black to Blacklist.

[ And she's probably not going to go into details about that out of respect for Yang, because now that they're dating Yang doesn't need to deal with that any more than Sun does. ]

I can handle his attitude toward me since I know it's just teasing but I'm not going to make you or Sun do that. Especially since if it's a double-date I probably won't be close enough at the table to stab a fork into his thigh and a heel to the foot won't accomplish much.

[ They have a beautiful friendship. ]

Relax, ha ha...!

[Yang holds up a hand to show she's not venturing into any sort of TMI territory.]

I just told him he should take a sick day sometime so he can see what it's like to be pampered when he's got a cold. The costume was his idea, but even though he talks a big game...I dunno...it's all sort of...

[She smiles as she clasps her hands in front of her, then finally shrugs.]

Innocent. We're taking things nice and slow.

[Probably the last word anyone would use to describe Yang or Mercury, but there's something refreshing and sincere in the way he treats her so carefully. She's probably as important to him as he's grown to be for her.]

So no stabbings. I've gotta protect my man.

I don't know if I'd call anything you two do innocent, but it seems like he's willing to take his time and see what a relationship with emotions is like instead of just jumping straight to.. other things.

[ But she still doesn't trust him on a double date. Mercury might be kinder and gentler to Yang, and he might actually be acting friendlier toward Weiss, but he also mad her wear a cropped "Bad Girl" shirt and cut-off short-shorts out of jail. She doesn't want to see how that would manifest in front of Sun. ]

I can refrain from stabbing, though.

Maybe you just have a dirty imagination. We're squeaky clean.

[She folds her arms with a sly little grin. Okay, maybe not PURELY innocent, but they've definitely had some charming moments that Yang wouldn't trade for the world. ...And some heavy flirting, sure, but it's pretty much all talk.]

[ Look, she's not going to deny that she thinks some embarrassing things about Sun, alright.. ]

As if you two won't do that anyway. [ Please do it she loves talking to you two about silly gossipy things. ]

[It is a strange world they live in where Yang is the more innocent of the two. She hardly seems to mind, though, given the way she's grinning from ear to ear at Weiss's bold statement.]

Could it be that you actually enjoy the gossip and love drama?

[She lays her fingertips to her collarbone with a little 'ah!' How shocking!]

The amount of work I've put in to help you two out after only a couple of weeks is astounding, of course I'm invested. [ Y'all better work out. ]

[Yeah yeah, she knows things happened quick. But the only thing she finds weird about it is that she doesn't find it weird. Go figure.]

If it helps, technically I met him three years ago.

[She winks and makes a finger gun.]

[ Clearly this is the important part. She's teasing though, seriously. ]
