Welcome to After Life. The entrance of the Nova City nightclub has the additional illumination courtesy of a purple neon bat to welcome the party goers, which that little bat seems more inviting than the almost ominous fog coming out of the front doors. Just beyond the door are a variety of glowsticks, should one feel so inclined to equip themselves with them for the night. The varying colored glass tables are trimmed with fake cobwebs with little spider lights illuminating from beneath it while at each table's end has a jack-o'-lantern of different carvings with color changing LED lights inside. The club's colored strobe lighting reflects off of the club's crystalline walls to help lend to the atmosphere in an almost eerie manner, even adding additional color to the fog hovering over the floor.

As the party begins, Gale makes a special introduction to the ladies who helped make the party possible- Yang Xiao Long, Ayame Sasaki, Gwen Stacy and Mikaela Banes. He wouldn't let the party go on without the much deserved recognition for them.

Food and Refreshments

The bar area has a variety of different foods and snacks for people to enjoy. Brownies, cupcakes and truffles from local confectionaries and other, less sugary options like jalapeno poppers, mummy hot dogs, garlic bread snakes, deviled egg spiders, salsa and dipping sauces with bat chips, dragonfly sushi and spooky fruit monsters are laid throughout the table. At the far end of the table is a little animatronic black cat with glowing green eyes.

Looking for something a little heavier than just snacks to eat, in case you missed lunch? Available to you on another nearby table are shaped pasta with varying sauce options, monster burgers, four different bento boxes, and snake shaped calzones each labeled with different pizza toppings for the stuffing. Yes. A few have pineapple in them. Please do not start a war in Gale's club.

There are various labeled cauldrons of non-alcoholic drinks such as water, punch and soda are on the table while other available are drinks such as mixed soda and punch floats and milkshake shots are there. All of the glasses on the table all have googly eyes attached to them. Also on this table is Gale's Cubone, wearing a tiny vampire cape and patrolling around the cauldrons. Don't even think about trying something funny or trying to spike the drinks, because Cubone will smack the culprit's hand with his bone and start wailing to lure the host over. Just don't even do it unless you want thrown out.

Bar Area

Need a beverage of the alcoholic variety? You'll want to visit the local alchemist over here. Overhead of the bar where the drink glasses hang are little bat lights that occasionally flicker and the cobwebs are lined around the edges of the circular bar counter. A pumpkin with the carving of a butterfly sits on the counter top with a flickering purple light within it. Drinks from the bar will be served in beaker and vial glasses.

Dance Floor and Stage

That stage up there sure looks inviting, as if it's just waiting to have one of its musical guests come on stage and steal the show for a short time. In fact, it's very much encouraged to do just that. While the stage is without a DJ or other performer, a preset playlist of the club's usual music as well as a list of Halloween music will cycle through- just be ready for the Monster Mash to play several times during the night. A skeleton is set up near the speakers, and it seems to 'dance' in time with the music. Up above the stage is a web with an animatronic spider that comes down from its web occasionally with flickering red eyes.

If you look closely through the thin veil of fog on the floor, you may notice reflective decals of monstrous footprints leading to the dance floor, as if trying to hint and lead the guests out to get their dance on. But party goers beware, there may be an impromptu dance to Thriller at some point in the night, and your host may judge every single one of you if you don't get in on it.

VIP Room

The VIP Room is a little less rowdy than the main area of the club, and is meant for a more chill atmosphere compared to the rest of the party. The room has its own stage for anyone to take over separate of the main room, but beware, this stage may have its own different kind of horror: Karaoke.

The tables here also have cobweb and spider lights around them and the lights in the room are a little dimmer, to accommodate the rotating bulb that casts shadow creatures on the walls of the room. You may want to come here if you want to eat an actual meal in peace without all the buzz from the bar area.

Employee Lounge

VIP Room not calm enough? Asking Gale or another After Life employee will grant you access to the employee lounge so you can have a little rest on the couches. The only drinks readily available in here is water over on the counter. The noise from the main area is completely nullified in this room. The party goes on all night, don't be afraid to take a breather.

Guests under 16 will receive a small bag of candy for attending, while guests 16 and older will receive some drink coupons to use at any of the three Gale Force club locations.

[ Usagi sighed, wistfully ]

Like you were just floating, and your legs moved so high, and it all seemed so cool and effortless and graceful, like you weren't even trying, but it must have been super difficult!

[Anastasia would just hang back and just let her go on, completely unsure what to say.

But wait... Did she actually move her legs so high? Even though she's wearing a long skirt, she needs to be careful.]

Um, well... I suppose it helps that I was made to learn ballet. I suppose the best advice I ever got was just do it.

You must have a lot of natural talent, then!

[ She's a bit concerned by the phrasing, "made to learn", but. This is a party, for one. And for another, she probably is just misunderstanding what the girl meant.

She smiles, kindly. ]

When did you start learning?

[She highly doubts that. Her most natural talents are rather unnatural, but won't say anything about it.]

I started when I was around... Umm... When I was about 5 years old. I'm 12 now.

[Omitting any mentions of "Plus Two," that's where the unnatural comes in.]

Oh, wow.

[ Scratches the back of her head, grinning a bit sheepishly ]

... When I was five the most "talented" thing I was doing was probably fingerpainting. I'm sixteen now, and. Uh. I guess I've not learned a lot more since then, ahahaha.

[ Looks at her, and gives another friendly smile. ]

My name is Usagi Tsukino. I'm glad to meet you!

Finger painting...?

[She imagines that's like painting fingers. As she has only seen works by renowned artists, Anastasia finds that rather impressive. Forgive her, she's a sheltered Princess.]

It's lovely to meet you as well, Usagi.

[She gently grips her skirt and dips into a regal, well practised curtsy.]

[ Yeah, no. Usagi can only dream. She has moved up to really crudely drawn manga-style art, so there's that, at least.

She blinks, surprised at the curtsy, and then claps her hands in front of her, impressed. She's completely forgotten that the girl hasn't introduced herself in return. ]

Wow, you are so graceful! Like a little princess!

[ She remembers the so-called 'princess academy' she went into, searching for any trace of their enemies, when she was fourteen. Anastasia was like someone straight out of that school! If only Usagi herself hadn't been so terrible at the classes there ... ]

[She learned the hard way that the official name of the kingdom is a bit difficult, hence the shortened version.]

That's incredible! I've never heard of Nivia before, but they must be really fortunate, to have a princess like you there! Wow!

I - I hope I haven't been rude or anything, Miss Anastasia! Ah-ha ... heh ...

[ She rubbed the back of her head, only a little nervous. Anastasia seemed so nice, surely she wouldn't mind how friendly and familiar she'd been with her.

She answered; ]

I'm from Japan! I don't know how far that's from Nivia ...

No, it's okay, you're not rude. There are two entire nations and a political movement who are far worse than anything.

[Yeah, she's used to having a mixed reputation on her world. Also, why does she keep meeting people from Japan? It must be a huge country on Earth. Anastasia's kindness can be contributed to the influence of her extroverted mother.]

I'm afraid Japan and Nivia are very far. [She opens her arms to gesture the distance apart.] Like, through space, time and dimensions far. We're from two entirely different planets.

Oh ... okay?

[ Yeah, that kind of thing was going to go over Usagi's head.

Her eyes went wide again, but she grinned. ]

Really! That's just like -

[ - stops her just before she says 'Princess Kakyuu'. Because. She blushes, now embarrassed. How dumb was she? Stupid Usagi.

She covers, scratching the back of her head again, like she realized she was going to say something silly. ]

- well I was going to say like something from a cartoon but it's real for you so I guess that's not really fair to say but you're really from a whole different planet and that is cool and -

Eh heh.

I guess I'm not used to that kind of thing!

[ .... Well, she wasn't used to talking to others from different planets who didn't start off attacking things, maybe. That much was true. ]

You'll get used to it, Usagi. You're going to see so many amazing things that you'll eventually stop being surprised by them.

[Rather pessimistic way of thinking, really.]

...Think of it like this: What is not normal is completely normal by Genessia standards.

[ How true that was.

But. Usagi looked thoughtful, turning that over. ]

Wellll. Maybe. Though, for all I know, maybe my world's the weird one. Maybe most worlds have ...

[ A lack of beautiful soldiers in sailor suits defending the galaxy? ]

... Giant flying cats, and because mine doesn't, it's really weird?

[Anastasia blinks and tilted her head to the side slightly inquisitively.]

...Flying cats? My world doesn't have those. I've never heard anyone else mention them. I suppose it would be weird... but not weird in Genessia.

[While on the subject...]

Some of the weird things you'll experience is some of Genessia's little... "pranks." I was turned into a tiny fairy for a about a week.

Really? A real fairy?

[ Usagi twirls in her outfit ]

That doesn't sound too bad!

[ That's because you're not thinking it through, Usagi. ]

That is true. I liked being a fairy... Except for the inconvenience of being tiny.

[She almost hunted by a cat.]

But I've seen people turned into gargoyles and vampires. They're back to normal, too, though.

Well ... how tiny are we talking about?

[ Tiny like a child? Like a doll? Like an ant? ]

I don't know if that's cool or scary? Kind of both, I think.

But! If everyone is back to normal, then, it isn't so bad. That means everything is temporary!

[Being a child herself, Anastasia was small. As a fairy, she was a itty-bitty, roughly as tall as a water bottle.]

Yeah, most of the pranks last about a week. Certain choices taken by the people here might be permanent, though. Emphasis on "might."

[ Head-tilt ]

What do you mean?

[ ... Like a curse from a fairy-tale or something, maybe? ]

This world has the power to grant wishes. Not just any wish. One wish is to open an archway to a replica of chosen area from your homeworld. However, in order to open one...

[She wraps an arm around herself.]

...You have to give up a piece of yourself. A precious memory, or a useful skill.

[ Usagi frowns a little, thinking about that with the seriousness that it warranted.

She looks a little uncertain. ]

Well ... if it's just a replica of a place ... without any of the people which made it important ...

... I'm not sure if it's really worth it.

It replicates the people as well. But that's all they are. Replicas...

[What a melancholy turn for a Halloween party.]

I am hoping it is possible to refund the cost of opening a sub-archway, though. That's where the emphasis on "might" comes in.

[The way the girl speaks suggests she did this; opened a sub-archway...]

Only replicas ... that sounds so sad ...

[ Bites her lip. She didn't mean to ruin the mood of a party ... but she didn't want to dismiss Anastasia's concerns, either. They sounded very serious.

Usagi clutches her toy wand, tightly. ]

[ Nods, determined. ]

I haven't been here long, and I don't really know that many people yet, but -
