[You'll Be Caught In The Night - After Life Halloween Party]

Welcome to After Life. The entrance of the Nova City nightclub has the additional illumination courtesy of a purple neon bat to welcome the party goers, which that little bat seems more inviting than the almost ominous fog coming out of the front doors. Just beyond the door are a variety of glowsticks, should one feel so inclined to equip themselves with them for the night. The varying colored glass tables are trimmed with fake cobwebs with little spider lights illuminating from beneath it while at each table's end has a jack-o'-lantern of different carvings with color changing LED lights inside. The club's colored strobe lighting reflects off of the club's crystalline walls to help lend to the atmosphere in an almost eerie manner, even adding additional color to the fog hovering over the floor.

As the party begins, Gale makes a special introduction to the ladies who helped make the party possible- Yang Xiao Long, Ayame Sasaki, Gwen Stacy and Mikaela Banes. He wouldn't let the party go on without the much deserved recognition for them.

Food and Refreshments

The bar area has a variety of different foods and snacks for people to enjoy. Brownies, cupcakes and truffles from local confectionaries and other, less sugary options like jalapeno poppers, mummy hot dogs, garlic bread snakes, deviled egg spiders, salsa and dipping sauces with bat chips, dragonfly sushi and spooky fruit monsters are laid throughout the table. At the far end of the table is a little animatronic black cat with glowing green eyes.

Looking for something a little heavier than just snacks to eat, in case you missed lunch? Available to you on another nearby table are shaped pasta with varying sauce options, monster burgers, four different bento boxes, and snake shaped calzones each labeled with different pizza toppings for the stuffing. Yes. A few have pineapple in them. Please do not start a war in Gale's club.

There are various labeled cauldrons of non-alcoholic drinks such as water, punch and soda are on the table while other available are drinks such as mixed soda and punch floats and milkshake shots are there. All of the glasses on the table all have googly eyes attached to them. Also on this table is Gale's Cubone, wearing a tiny vampire cape and patrolling around the cauldrons. Don't even think about trying something funny or trying to spike the drinks, because Cubone will smack the culprit's hand with his bone and start wailing to lure the host over. Just don't even do it unless you want thrown out.

Bar Area

Need a beverage of the alcoholic variety? You'll want to visit the local alchemist over here. Overhead of the bar where the drink glasses hang are little bat lights that occasionally flicker and the cobwebs are lined around the edges of the circular bar counter. A pumpkin with the carving of a butterfly sits on the counter top with a flickering purple light within it. Drinks from the bar will be served in beaker and vial glasses.

Dance Floor and Stage

That stage up there sure looks inviting, as if it's just waiting to have one of its musical guests come on stage and steal the show for a short time. In fact, it's very much encouraged to do just that. While the stage is without a DJ or other performer, a preset playlist of the club's usual music as well as a list of Halloween music will cycle through- just be ready for the Monster Mash to play several times during the night. A skeleton is set up near the speakers, and it seems to 'dance' in time with the music. Up above the stage is a web with an animatronic spider that comes down from its web occasionally with flickering red eyes.

If you look closely through the thin veil of fog on the floor, you may notice reflective decals of monstrous footprints leading to the dance floor, as if trying to hint and lead the guests out to get their dance on. But party goers beware, there may be an impromptu dance to Thriller at some point in the night, and your host may judge every single one of you if you don't get in on it.

VIP Room

The VIP Room is a little less rowdy than the main area of the club, and is meant for a more chill atmosphere compared to the rest of the party. The room has its own stage for anyone to take over separate of the main room, but beware, this stage may have its own different kind of horror: Karaoke.

The tables here also have cobweb and spider lights around them and the lights in the room are a little dimmer, to accommodate the rotating bulb that casts shadow creatures on the walls of the room. You may want to come here if you want to eat an actual meal in peace without all the buzz from the bar area.

Employee Lounge

VIP Room not calm enough? Asking Gale or another After Life employee will grant you access to the employee lounge so you can have a little rest on the couches. The only drinks readily available in here is water over on the counter. The noise from the main area is completely nullified in this room. The party goes on all night, don't be afraid to take a breather.

Guests under 16 will receive a small bag of candy for attending, while guests 16 and older will receive some drink coupons to use at any of the three Gale Force club locations.

[ Usagi shakes her head, smiling, and leans forward a little. She's completely earnest. ]

Your dress is really pretty, honest! There's nothing you should feel jealous about. I mean, I'd even want to trade our wings, if it went with my outfit!

Plus, it really suits you! It makes you look so elegant!

Maybe if there is ever a third costume party or even a party, in general, we could all go shopping.

[It was not something she had done with anyone here quite yet and it seemed like a fun idea in her mind.]

Wait, this is the second one?

Then there will definitely be another!

[ She bounces a little. ]

You and me and Minako! We can all go shopping, and find the cutest outfits, and it wouldn't even be last-minute, and then maybe you'd feel more confident about how beautiful you look at a party like this!

[ It seems that Usagi is really enthusiastic about this idea. ]

Someone did a costume party for there housewarming a short while back.

[Haru remembered what costume she wore, which had been somewhat similar to her thief outfit when she thought about it. But it had been one of her favorites.]

At least that time it wouldn't be unless something were to happen that would prevent it from happening. I mean we also might have a while considering what holiday is after this one.

That sounds like such a fun idea!

[ Everyone here sounded so nice and friendly! Usagi hoped she'd get to go to more parties like this.

She blinked for a moment, and then remembered - Christmas. Well, hopefully she'd be back before then? Usagi blushed. Was she really going to miss her first Christmas date with Mamoru as his fiance? ]

... I-I mean. I guess so.

But. Maybe we'll all find a way to go home before then, right?

One would like to hope, but so far people who do leave seem to leave suddenly and without warning.

[It's happened before as much as she was aware anyway.]

I know that I have many people back home I care about, but at the same time I have people I care about here as well.

[ Usagi looks determined, and serious, for a moment. ]

Well, if I find a way back, I'll tell people for sure before I just disappear.

And, we should try to see if the door goes both ways - so we can come back and visit our new friends if we want!

I think that would be lovely if that were to happen. I mean we make friends here to suddenly leave and usually I've not soon people come back.

[Which is kind of sad in a way, not being able to have people come back and see those who miss them.]

I admit, I've not made that many friends here yet, but I hope that I do no matter how long it takes.

Maybe these people aren't leaving here on purpose ...

I mean. None of us really came here on purpose, so.

[ Usagi gives Haru a smile, then, hoping to reassure her. ]

Well, you've got me, now! Even if we've just met, you seem super-nice, and we can definitely hang out and get to know each other better!

No, none of us came here by choice, but I do agree it's probably not on purpose or someone would have said if they had found a way out.

[She figured that much as least, but it's still a sad thing even to assume when it came to close friends.]

I have to be polite. After all being an owner of a business one has to be or well deal would not exactly be a thing nor would I have happy work staff or customers.

[After seeing what her father did and after everything she went though, she knew how she wanted to do things. She wanted to be the nicer person and treat people nicely.]

But if I ever seem impolite people should hopefully let me know.

[ Usagi blinked. ]

Wellll. Yes. You're very polite! I bet that would be good for your business.

But! I was also saying you were being very nice!

I don't know if I'm one of your customers and I don't work for you and yet you've been so kind to me even though I've just been babbling about your costume and going shopping and you seem like a very kind person!

And, I think kindness and politeness are very different. Some people are very polite, but at the same time ... cold.

[ She shivers in memory. ]

Polite and cold. [She couldn't think of anyone who would fit under that anyway.]

That is not exactly something I have come across personally. But I guess it could at least be true. People could be polite but still seem cold and distant or something.

[She smiled slightly.]

But I can say that will never be me.

See? And this is why I said you were nice, and kind.

[ Points her finger, but her expression is playful. ]

So, don't sell yourself short! You're a great friend!

Admittedly, I've not really had a lot of people who I could call a friend before.

[But she now has quite a few, some were even here.]

So I will try not to sell myself short. Maybe make some new friends.

Well, now you've got me!

[ Haru gets a larger smile, now. ]

If you believe in yourself, I know you'll probably make a lot more friends!

Everyone has been so, so friendly here, so I don't think you'll have any problems at all.

I know, everyone I met has been very friendly indeed, even in times where it was just awful.

[Like the whole spirit problem that she had arrived to.]

It makes you wonder if you'll meet someone who isn't as nice.

[ Or someone who pretended to be nice, and was secretly not. Usagi was a very trusting soul, but she had run into that once or twice before.

She still believed the best in people, though. ]

Even if someone acts cruel at first, they're probably okay, deep down. Maybe they just need someone to be kind to them, first.

[ She shrugs, her smile softer. ]

But, either way. I'll take the chance on people here. Considering we've got nowhere else to go - we need to rely on each other, I think, to make the best of things.

[Haru could probably think of a least one person that could potentially go under that.]

Maybe, I mean some cases it might require a lot of work. But kindness goes a long way unless someone is really irredeemable.

[Haru while wanting to be trusting given how things had been at home to her before she found herself here and the after... trusting people like adults wasn't exactly on top of her to do list.]

I understand. Let us hope that is the case. Until then... I should really go have a look around a little more.

[ Usagi nodded. She really knew that better than anybody.]

Sometimes all they need is for someone to make an effort!

[ She nodded, and grinned. ]
