[It had been about a day or so, enough time to cry it out that she wasn't home nor the digital world. Mimi had been uncharacteristically quiet, but metaphorically (and realistically) dusted herself off and was sitting in the park with fairly warm clothes on, holding a coffee from Moonbucks in one hand (somehow visiting during a time that someone she knew wasn't working there), while the other held the phone up.
She closed her eyes, took a breath, then put on the biggest smile she could muster, turning on the video feed.]
Aaaaah-ten-shun Genessia! The beautiful and talented Mimi has arrived!
What's a girl gotta do for fun around here?

He was pretty sure they weren't actually paying attention to him either considering he had pretty much finished ringing her up and was currently waiting for her to pay after asking at least twice, so when he heard the tune of a cheerful but familiar voice he instead decided to just wait it out while she talked and instead check the device only to spot that yes the familiar voice was, in fact, someone he knew.
... He wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not considering. Good in that well from things he was now aware were not going to at least get worse anytime soon but at the same time bad in the sense that he knew what this place could be capable of with just one event.
However, he also couldn't help switching on the feed and putting on his usual grin. Hi, Mimi.]
You could always come and have the fun pleasure of listening to an old woman talk about why grapes are too soft. It's really fun~
video
Takeru! You don't realize how happy I am to see you! And why are you talking about grapes?
Wait... Is- is anyone else here too?
[From her experience, it was always better to be in a strange world with friends than alone.]
video
[And potentially you can hear her in the background.]
I don't know why she does it, last time it was oranges and asking why they are too small. Today its grapes. It's an adventure.
[At the last question he paused for a moment, looking away and smile faltering if only for this moment. He was okay with showing how he felt about this certain subject.]
No. It's just me.
video
Well that doesn't sound like a very fun adventure.
I hope I don't run into that when I start working. I already applied for a job with the music store, and even applied to get an agent so I can sing! Did you know they could do that?
[Her own smile faltered for a moment when he answered, before she put it right back on.]
That's okay. That means everyone else should be able to take care of everything while we're gone. At least we'll have each other right? Until we can go home too.
[She frowned.]
But to be honest, I'd feel a lot more comfortable if I had Palmon with me.
video
[He really didn't expect it when he signed up for it, however, but it was just a way to make money while he figured out what he could do in life here. He really didn't know and never thought about it at his age.]
Wow, already getting jobs. Impressive. I had to wait a bit due to...this world being weird and me arriving during a monster mash. We thought being chased by Digimon was awful. Being chased by film monsters is just as bad.
[He smiled briefly.]
As for the others...I heard time is frozen while we are here, but I have no way of proving this. I do agree, however....That I kind of wish I had Patamon.

There are arcades, and movies to see, and tons of different restaurants and cafes - and there are even parties sometimes!
[ Video ]
[ Video ]
... I need to find this out too, honestly -
How did I not find out about karaoke before?!
[ She looks determined! ]
We should find a good place and then we should invite everyone along!
AND! If we can't find a good karaoke place, we'll make one! Two cute girls can totally go anywhere and convince someone to do it for us~! [She grinned and winked at the camera.]
I never thought about that! Owning our own karaoke place ... we could have whatever music we want, and serve the tastiest soda and floats, and have really neat snacks ...
[ Owning a business was more than just having snacks, Usagi. ]

[Then again. She lived in an apartment with four other girls so every night was kind of like an unofficial slumber party.]
I'd definitely be down for one.
So what kind of board games do you have?
I've got DnD but that might be a little too intense for a night thing. I picked up Ticket to Ride and Betrayal at House on the Hill. They're both pretty fun.

[Conversations on the phone are pretty fun for him. It's why he's done roughly a thousand of them.]
Failing that, there's always dancing. Or onomastics! Speaking of, what's your name mean?
[He's just dying to know.]
Well, sure, that COULD be fun. But DANCING! Dancing is ALWAYS a better option!
[She's going to ignore the big word that will fly over her head anyway since it means exactly what he's doing.]
Well, Mimi means beautiful~.
What's your name? And I'll turn the question around on you, what's it mean?
Re: [Video]
Haha, "could"? Well you're in a position to know whether it's fun or not. I would think in the affirmative.
[He chuckles. Yep, a lot of female names mean something along those lines. Not a bad thing, but very common. Uh oh, now she's returning fire.]
Ah, it's Ted. If you, uh, stretch that out it means, ah...
[This is one of the few surefire ways to embarrass him]
gift of God.
[Please change the subject now kthx.]

Re: [Video]
[He super wants to die!]
Aheh, they certainly had a knack for flattery...
[ANYTHING. LET THEM TALK ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE.]
Thank you.
[He squeezes out in between grit teeth and red cheeks.]
So, has the world been kind to you so far? Been settling in all right?
