Newspaper - Saturday Edition
[Did you subscribe to The Genessia Tribune? Did you even remotely wish you had a newspaper or some other form of media to refer to for news, weather, and current events? Then you're in luck! There's a paperboy riding through the streets of Genessia flinging newspapers onto doorsteps or, if you're unlucky, through your window. Even remote locations in the other cities will still get a paper if one of the residents ever wanted one. The Paperboy is just that dedicated.]
[And if you're one of the following people, and you happen to subscribe to the newspaper, the Paperboy may or may not have flung the newspaper through that person's window and/or broke something in the area: Orihime Inoue, Blake Belladonna, Jim Moriarty, James T. Kirk, and Ruby Rose.]
Increasing Employment
The job fair appears to have been a highly successful event. Although some citizens went through many, MANY careers during the week, a lot of necessary duties were fulfilled even if for only one day. Other sole proprietors established by newcomers to Genessia announced that their new businesses were also hiring, including Cafe Caradja which is celebrating its grand opening in Everglade, and the Winter-Hobbes Clinic which is accepting new patients for hypnotherapy sessions.

Zombies on the Decline
The appearance of the lovingly entitled "Uber Zombies" has seen a sharp decline, thanks to the quick actions of City Guardian Harry Dresden and his devoted minions. Though the cause of these suddenly large zombies remains a mystery, citizens have admitted that it's nice to go for a morning jog and not trip over a dismembered corpse along the way. "Hardly anyone's getting eaten now," one satisfied citizen reported. "That's a plus!"
Weatherman on Drugs?
This week's weather forecaster appeared to suffer a nervous breakdown after delivering what appears to be an erratic and nonsensical prediction of weather patterns for the upcoming week. Such predictions included dangerous lightning storms, extreme differences in temperature, heavy rain and flooding, and even a rain of pigeon poop. The weatherman, normally unflappable and bald, became a hysterical raving mess (and still bald), gibbering "We're all screwed! We're so screwed!" before stuffing his suitcases and running out the door.
New Advice Column
The Genessia Tribue is proud to announce that an advice columnist has just been hired. Please submit any and all requests for anonymous advice to our office, care of 'Dear Tabby'. All responses will be issued on a weekly or biweekly basis depending on the volume of incoming mail.

[OR WAS IT? It's true that Yang was blazing the entire time, like a miniature sun. She disappers into the bathroom, coming back a little later with an armful of towels. She tosses one to Blake, keeps one for herself, and dumps the rest on the floor to soak up the dampness.]
[The coffee is already made, and is just sitting there being all hot, so it's a good choice. Yang pours two cups, setting all the cream and sugar and good stuff on the counter BECAUSE THE TABLE IS GONE, then leans back to start toweling her hair.]
I guess I should warn you. You're not going to like it, but I don't want what happened to Ruby to happen to anyone else.
no subject
I thought that was coming. I know you were talking to that guy all day.
[She frowns.]
What is it?
no subject
[Yang picks up her coffee mug and sips.]
He also knew you were a Faunus before you lost your bow.
no subject
It's the second part that gets her attention. Her head snaps up, and her Faunus ears flatten down into her hair.]
What-? How?
[She always had her bow on outside. She only took it off in her own apartment and around Ruby or Yang.]
no subject
[And it's part of what worries her. But only part. The rest she's keeping to herself, mostly because she has no idea if Ruby's asleep or not. Besides, it's not the sort of thing she's ever opened up about to anyone before, and likely no one will ever know at the rate Yang's going.]
I don't think you have to worry about it here, though. We've got corpsey-looking guys, vampires, shapeshifters. And don't even get me started on that Ice King weirdo!
[She smiles, reaching out to tweak one of Blake's curls affectionately.]
You're fine as you are, bow or not.
no subject
[But then there's Yang, reminding her that she's far from the least human in town right now. She smiles gratefully.]
I know. I'm not ashamed of who I am, it's just...
[easier to live without people staring, muttering, asking questions....]
... habit.
no subject
[Especially here. Yang refills Blake's cup.]
Want me to go put a table up on your window now? I'm starting to get the hang of this!
[No she isn't.]
no subject
[She sighs, taking another sip from her cup and glancing toward her apartment.]
Not really, but I guess we'd better get it over with.
no subject
Once we've got that fixed up, why don't you stay with us for a while? From what I could make out of the weather report, it doesn't look like it's going to get much better, and I think you being here will cheer up Ruby too.
We can make a blanket foooorrrrrt~
[TEMPTING ISN'T IT?]
no subject
But she will consider the idea of sticking around. It probably would make Ruby feel better, and not to mention herself, not that it seemed she was being spied on at home. Plus, living alone felt weird after being so used to roommates.]
Do you have room for another person here?
no subject
[She's sharing with Ruby again until the kid forgets what it even feels like to be cold.]
We're pretty stocked up on groceries too. I've been trying to figure out how to cook.
[And if you like all your meals super well-done, then Yang is a great cook. Or she just burns everything.]
no subject
Alright, I'll stay a few days. Maybe I can give you a few lessons while I'm here.
no subject
[Yang is impressed. She didn't know that.]
...Can you make sugar cookies?
no subject
[She blinks at the request, considering it.]
I could try. I never did much baking though.
no subject
[Which would explain why there are black snowflake ornaments on the tree. Those? Those were once cookies.]
no subject
Ah. She thought she smelled something burnt when she came in here.]
... We'll work on it.
no subject
Really? You're the best!
[HUG YOU.]
no subject
Well, it looks like you could use some help..
no subject
[She grins. They both know she could use a LOT of help.]
