[Did you subscribe to The Genessia Tribune? Did you even remotely wish you had a newspaper or some other form of media to refer to for news, weather, and current events? Then you're in luck! There's a paperboy riding through the streets of Genessia flinging newspapers onto doorsteps or, if you're unlucky, through your window. Even remote locations in the other cities will still get a paper if one of the residents ever wanted one. The Paperboy is just that dedicated.]

Increasing Employment

The job fair appears to have been a highly successful event. Although some citizens went through many, MANY careers during the week, a lot of necessary duties were fulfilled even if for only one day. Other sole proprietors established by newcomers to Genessia announced that their new businesses were also hiring, including Cafe Caradja which is celebrating its grand opening in Everglade, and the Winter-Hobbes Clinic which is accepting new patients for hypnotherapy sessions.

Zombies on the Decline

The appearance of the lovingly entitled "Uber Zombies" has seen a sharp decline, thanks to the quick actions of City Guardian Harry Dresden and his devoted minions. Though the cause of these suddenly large zombies remains a mystery, citizens have admitted that it's nice to go for a morning jog and not trip over a dismembered corpse along the way. "Hardly anyone's getting eaten now," one satisfied citizen reported. "That's a plus!"

Weatherman on Drugs?

This week's weather forecaster appeared to suffer a nervous breakdown after delivering what appears to be an erratic and nonsensical prediction of weather patterns for the upcoming week. Such predictions included dangerous lightning storms, extreme differences in temperature, heavy rain and flooding, and even a rain of pigeon poop. The weatherman, normally unflappable and bald, became a hysterical raving mess (and still bald), gibbering "We're all screwed! We're so screwed!" before stuffing his suitcases and running out the door.

[Seeing those tears in Ruby's eyes tears at her, and it makes her angry. A different kind of anger than Yang's explosive temper, this one was quiet and simmering, and something she put away for now until it was time to deal it out to the person who deserved it.]

[But for now, she walks over to the bed and quietly sits down beside Ruby, reaching out to touch her shoulder beneath her blanket cocoon.]

It's okay....

[One day she'll emerge from her cocoon as a beautiful butterfly.]

[The tears didn't stop coming, she had done her best to hold them back for awhile now an now that a few had escaped, it was like a floodgate had opened.]

I couldn't do anything... I was so scared...

[She reaches over, stroking Ruby's hair and shushing her gently. She couldn't say that she'd be doing much better if she were in Ruby's place. The trap and the riddle had been bad enough but, the outright cruelty behind it all... giving Ruby her phone, letting her friends and family talk to her, and watch as the end crept closer every second.

It was more than a death trap, it had been DESIGNED to break a person. And it wasn't the work of a monster, it was a human being, a person, with a heart and a soul that had designed it and put her friend in it apparently for no reason other than to see what would happen. Blake had thought she'd seen the worst of humanity but somebody like this... she was having trouble just wrapping her mind around it.]

It's okay. You're safe now.

[She'll take a deep breath and do her best to calm down, but the tears just keep rolling down her cheeks. The terror and helplessness she felt down in that trap were still fresh in her heart and she couldn't shake it, not yet at least.]

[That's fine. Blake will just sit with her, stroking her hair until she's either able to calm herself, or she falls back asleep. Whichever comes first.

She's no big sister, not like Yang is, but she's doing the best she can.]

[It takes some time, but eventually her breathing will slow down, and the tears will stop flowing. There's a pause before she finally lifts her head up and takes a deep breath, she'll turn toward Blake and let her head rest back on the pillow again.]

...Sorry.

[Blake just shakes her head, sitting back with her hands in her lap when Ruby calms down. Her expression is calm enough, but the slight tilt to her Faunus ears might be enough to give away her concern.]

Don't be. Do you need anything?

[Ruby notices the tilt in Blake's ears and forces up a smile. See Blake? Totally fine, can't you tell?

She isn't buying it, is she?]

...Maybe a glass of hot chocolate?

[Because she isn't touching anything cold.]

[She's not buying it at all, but she also won't draw attention to it if that's not what Ruby needs.

Her ears stay the way they are though.]

Sure.

[She gives Ruby a small smile and stands up from the bed to head back toward the kitchen.]

[Once Blake left the room Ruby tried to shift around on the bed to sit herself up, but between the cocoon of blankets and her muscles still felt stiff and numb.]

Ung... Come on...

[By the time Blake gets back, she'll still be awkwardly struggling to sit up.]
