I can't say it is quite what I was expecting to happen... [As she starts to record, Padmé offers a wry smile although there is a air of alertness to her features as well. That grogginess is all but gone, although she does wonder after it, just as she does wonder to all that she as been told. Yet there is curiosity there, and a willingness to listen despite the means of her arrival just a short time ago. Diplomacy first, as always.]
At the moment, it would appear that my options are limited. I do admit that I haven't been planet-bound for any great length of time, unless there were reasons behind it. Reasons beyond kidnapping. Typically work, if I am being honest.
[Her voice is soft but also has a strength to it. Those brown eyes are drawn away from the feed, regarding the sky for a moment. Skies that hold no meaning to her, at least as it stands, but skies she can understand, to an extent. She does begin to speak, her focus still out there on that great unknown, wondering just what lays beyond... Yet her gaze is drawn back and she gives a little nod of her head, before making eye contact again.]
I offer greetings. My name is Padmé Amidala, a Senator for Naboo- that is my planet of birth, for those undoubtedly unfamiliar with same. It seems, if I am to understand correctly, that we are all in this situation together, if what Weiss Schneeto has said is true. And, as such, no doubt it would be best that we work together, to aid and co-operate with each other.
Since it appears I will be here for some time, I would be interested to hear more about you, your experiences here, and the place that you call home, for any willing to share.
[There is a genuine warmth in her voice and her smile grows. Every situation needs to start somewhere, and for now, she is fine learning all that she can both about this place and about the people here. She will build from there after]
I would, of course, speak of my own as well, for those who wished to hear of it. I am curious to see just how far a reach this place has, and whether Naboo or Coruscant or even any of the other planets that make up the Galactic Republic are known to anyone here, as the galaxy is a very expansive place, to put it mildly.

[Which it may or may not, but he smiles sincerely enough, if... a bit like an overeager little kid. She did seem a bit put out about planets, after all.]
Welcome to Genessia, and yes, most of it seems to be on the mark, from what I've seen, but it's not so bad, it's int'resting, at least, haven't got to worry about getting bored, anyway, well, not if you keep busy.
Oh, and yes, a chat would be lovely, haven't been to Naboo, always interested in new planets, sort of a traveler, myself, have been for, ooh, a long while, now, 'tho this place reaches way beyond just a galaxy.
[...which he says as if a galaxy's really not that big at all.]
Whole universes, different points in time from dissimilar histories, bit complicated, I know, but y'get used to it. Don't hesitate to give us a ring if you need any help settling in at all, though, I'm here to help.
[And he closes out with a grin and a thumbs-up.]

[... doctor who? Although if that is what he prefers to go by, Padmé will remember that. She has other concerns at the moment anyway.]
If not a planet, then what?
[She's never seen an asteroid like this before, or any other body.]
And what is it that makes it interesting for you?
[Given the wide definition of what interesting can be, as it also varies from being to being. After all, Padmé herself finds politics interesting, but others are less apt to do so.
Her look does turn quizzical as he continues, moreso as he does keep talking, trying to wrap her head around what he is saying. Different... points of time?]
It sounds a little more than a bit complicated.

There are a few of us here. Just be careful...I don't think they can all be trusted. Some were on another side back home. They're staying peaceful here but I keep my guard up anyway.
Um this place is bringing us from all different times...I have a feeling it might get a little confusing the more you learn. I still can't keep it straight at times.
Anyway, nice to meet you.

[Which is the first thing that does come out of her mouth, before she does back track for a moment.]
I fear I haven't heard of you, although I am familiar with a Skywalker. Anakin?
[Although Ani has never spoken about him, let alone he seems to use it in the plural tone. Arguably, she technically is a Skywalker now, given that she has wed Anakin, but they both know that such knowledge is secret. It is why she is regarding him with a piercing look. Not unwelcome or unfriendly, but a little wary.]
And what other side are you referring to?
[The Separatists? Or... Well, she is not even going to speak about Sith.]

A pleasure to meet you. I am Lady Remilia Scarlet, one of the Deputy Guardians of Everglade. And I must say, despite the results sometimes being interesting, I appreciate that you're not going to cause trouble. [ Like a certain Jedi. ]
[Her appearance does earn a look from Padmé, although nothing outlandish or caught off guard. The galaxy is filled with many different species, and Naboo itself is home to the Gungans as well as her people. But, Padmé can't say that she has met anyone that looks quite like her.]
A pleasure as well, Lady Scarlet- or is it Deputy Scarlet?
[Although her brow does furrow ever so as she mentally skims over the information that she has learned so far. Although a smile smile tugs at her lips.]
I can't say that I typically seek to cause trouble.
[Although it might find her from time to time.]

Naboo is not unfamiliar to me, Senator Padmé Amidala. But I admit I never visited it myself. You must be from my Galaxy, it's nice to meet you.

You as well. Might I ask after your name?

A pleasure to meet you, Madam Senator. My name is Django. I only just arrived but I got to ride on a massive dog monster as someone saved me from the blizzard we've been experiencing. Besides that, I don't have any real experiences to speak of. This place does seem to be rather well organized. So there is that in the positive column.
no subject
Hello, Django.
[Although she's not entirely sure what to make of the massive dog monster comment.]
Was it part of a rescue team, or just a concerned citizen?
[Or something else?]
But they do seem quite organized. It is a little surprising, truthfully.

But then, no one on earth has perfected space travel, quite yet.
I hope that you found your arrival here uneventful.
permavideo
No? Has there been any attempt at any sort of space travel?
[Or do they simply not look to the stars and wonder.
She finds a little tug playing at the corner of her lips.]
Aside from the actual arrival itself, I can't say that anything untoward has happened since.

I've heard a couple people here mention the Republic, but the names of the actual worlds are new. And as for this one, it's pretty nice. I mean yeah, there's seldom really a good time or place to be kidnapped by mysterious forces, but if you have to be stuck someplace, this one isn't too bad.
Lea. Yes, I believe I have it memorized.
[But she cocks her head slightly.]
Are there many deputies here?
[Ah, but there is a keen expression, although she is starting to wonder if it is the same Republic. Is it possible that there are others, in different galaxies?
With a genuine interest, she does inquire.]
And is it that you like about it?

Hi! I'm Rose Tyler, by the way. And the bow-tie Doctor's right, it's not really a proper planet we're on. Though don't ask me what it is. Somewhere between all the parrallel universes though, that's for sure.
[Simple curiosity over that, as is there something that they know that states that it is, and that it is not just way out in Wild Space, beyond a place where anyone knows.]
Ah. You are... A Time Lord as well?

Such a diplomatic introduction, as befitting a senator of the Republic.

But there are words and then there are actions.

I for one would not mind hearing of Naboo. [a beat] Senator. Senator Amidala.
[another beat]
Um. I am recently new to interplanetary travel though. I am not sure what to say about my home that makes it interesting to hear. [A name at least might be good to start though. He frowns briefly, plucking the name mentally from what everyone else labelled it on star maps and the like.] It is called Tureil.
no subject
Please. Padmé is fine.
[She isn't one to stand on title, especially when it is dubious that the title means anything to anyone who is not from her galaxy, as she is starting to understand. A way to identify herself, certainly, to those who might know of it, but she doesn't stand on pomp.]
Ah. Well I've never heard of Turiel, so that in and of itself makes it interesting. As for Naboo, it is a bit further out from the Core Worlds, in an area of space that we call the Mid Rim. It's moderate in temperature, and covered in swamps, rivers, lakes, and pastoral fields. We've mountains as well, and cities, of course. And we share it with the Gungans, an sentient amphibious race.

Good evening, Senator - I've not been to Naboo myself, but I've heard it's a lovely planet.
Rather unfortunate to meet you quite like this, but you'll find the people are welcoming enough.
[ His expression, at that, looked a bit sheepish. ]
[ Video ]
It is, although I might be a bit biased.
[Offering a smile.]
They have been. It is a little surprising, but in a good way. It is nice to see people working together to help others.

I did not expect us to be joined by such an illustrious person of the Republic.
[ There's a prickliness to his greeting which he can't quite keep out of his voice, that old knee-jerk reaction from another life. He takes a deep breath, reminding himself that they all lost this war two decades ago. ]
My name is Cassian Andor. I'm... [ of the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Probably not a good introduction. ] Guardian of Attleton.
video
She does regard him, brown eyes trying to figure if she does know him though. Yet, she isn't familiar with his name, and doesn't know where he stands, if anywhere. And, as always, she still take a more amicable approach.]
Hello, Cassian. I take it to mean that you're from the same galaxy as I?
