[ Zeref appears to be in the middle of Fayren City; a very bad place for him to see something that angered him, or at least severely embarrassed him. He's glaring, but his eyes are barely visible; they're not quite red and glowing yet, though. ]

Who in their right mind would think this was a good idea? [ Zeref holds up a flier for the beauty pageant. The camera is centered on his name, in the list of male contestants. ] Whoever you are, do you realize what could happen if I participated in something like this!?

[ Ignoring the fact that he'd sooner volunteer one of the Books of Zeref to be reviewed in the Genessia Tribune, if his magic activated in the middle of something like that... ]

I can't participate in this. I'm sorry.

Kefka said that the grand prize was another charm. [ Granted, Zeref should know better than to trust him, but... ]

[ They're up to six, now? Not that he's familiar enough with Fairy Tail to know their inner workings. ]

The Sixth Master is here? Then you aren't acting as their Master in this world?

[ He nods. ]

Supposedly, we will have a wish granted if we gather them all. Anything we want. [ A beat, as he sighs. ] But it sounds too good to be true. Frankly, I don't trust anyone who brings me to a place like this against my will, and won't tell me why.

Actually, Erza was acting Master before we arrived. We haven't really finalized anything different. [ Although Erza still defers to them so... it's more like Erza just runs everything they don't want to.

Still, Mavis seems to contemplate the news about the charms for a moment. ]

Trust or not, it might be worth looking into. At the very least, if the magic is tied to this world, gathering these charms might lead to some clues about it.

I see. [ Well, that explains a lot. He knew Erza was powerful and commanded a lot of respect in Fairy Tail, but he didn't know she was that high up. Maybe he should learn more about Fairy Tail's inner workings when he gets the chance. ]

You're probably right about that. Though I can't help but feel like someone - or something - isn't telling us the whole story.
