[ After successfully Not-Tomb Raiding and getting payment for the most recent job (and Lucy hoped that the herb was actually going to work for that poor girl) it was time to do some well earned shopping. Not alone though, Neveren, the youngest member of Fairy Tail (kinda) was accompanying her. Her first stop is picking up some cooler clothing for herself and the kids since Regina was busy on a job herself. Next she stopped at a toy store, where she picked up something for him and herself. Her last stop was at the ice cream shoppe before heading back to Feyren to the guild. ]

Well there's not a lot either of us can do about that, as long as Erza has that ruling.

[ ... well she didn't say anything about them relaxing on the bed during the day tho- wait, What is she even THINKING. Stop that. ]

[What are THEY thinking? Because the next thing to come from Natsu's mouth is something he's considered for a while.]

Maybe I should just build a house on the grounds like I did with Happy...

[ Because Erza won't let them sleep in the same bed together, or for a different reason? ... wait if it was because of the bed thing... there'd be no convincing anyone that she and Natsu were "just friends" and... okay even SHE knew they were more than "friends" ..sort of. Juvia alone... well if Erza caught wind of what Juvia thought while they were still living in the guild they'd be dead meat. ]

Look at Juvia-- well ... s.. she's kind of an extreme example, but because you told her we slept in the same bed she naturally assumed it meant we were ... um... Doing more than.. that. Like...

[ NOPE, can't say it. Her face gets scarlet just thinking about it. There has to be an easier way, right? No? ]

[Making out involved kissing didn't it? He was under the impression they both liked that.]

[ ... although that incident in the pool was pretty damn close. If she hadn't realized they could have and had been spotted - eep. Hogod she's doomed herself to the worst possible conversation topic. ]

[I think I can hear China on the other end already.]

But why's it matter anyway. I mean we're the ones who'd know if that stuff happens or not.

U-hmm.... It's.. usually a little more than - [ AHGHGHFJ no she's going to have a meltdown again if she continues that thought. ]

[ She goes quiet for a second because he kinda has a point. And she can't really argue that kind of point. He doesn't get flustered about these things the way she does. ]

[Good thing he made a point or else things were gonna get even more awkward.]

See? It shouldn't matter what people say. It just matters what we do. Unless you don't wanna stay in the same house as me...

[Trying hard to not sound disappointed.]

[ She'll always get the spiciest stuff for her dragon. ]

[ No matter the awkwardness, she knows she's always happiest when she was with him. It's just that people will give them Knowing_Smiles(tm) and make things awkward - at least for the less dense of the pair. ]

[Good that will keep her dragon happy and full~]

[The relief on his demeanor shouldn't be as obvious but he looks back at her with a smile more vibrant than usual.]

Great! Then I'll see about getting it built out in the back.

[Little did she know that his plan for the house would be made specifically to accommodate her own likes and passions.]

[ That smile. That smile always gets her, makes her catch her breath and her heart skip a beat. It was even worse now since she talked to Blake about things. She grinned back, cheeks warming a bit more. ]

Right, okay.

[ She'd be so touched if she knew his plan. It'd be a nice little surprise at the least. Although now that he seemed to be in a better mood she should... probably let him go huh? ]

But last time you had Happy to help you build it - won't it be a bit much to build it all yourself?

[ ...She's not going to comment about dragon lairs. ]

[Well he likes to see her smiling too so there's that to even things out a bit.]

It'll just take a bit longer. It's not like Happy did any of the heavy lifting and you know how quick he is to find a fish to eat.

[ Again, LUcy nodded, though she had a thoughtful look on her face for a few minutes, something weighing heavily on her mind. ]

Well, that's true.. I guess I didn't really think about that...

[ Still, if she was going to brace herself for the smirks and rumors when she moved in with him - ..erm... ]

[ Hmm... she let a hand slide away from him, debating on pulling away the rest of the way. After chewing on her thoughts for another minute, she abruptly focused her attention on the little dragonplush. Thinking thinky thoughts, and looking like she's about to say something only to fall silent again. This goes on for about half a minute before she clears her throat. ]

Natsu.. would you --

Er.. do you want to.. [ bwah, how to phrase it without giving any weird impressions or implications.. ]

[Natsu noticed that weird behavior right away. Still rather than ask outright what was wrong, he decided to let her think on it for a bit before she made her question.]

Do I want to what?

[If it was Lucy asking the answer was likely going to be yes.]

[ Okay just say it. Say it. ... say iiiiiiiiiit. ]

Do you want to go out... sometime? On a... ..a... [ Date. Say it. Say it! ] miss... ...outing..?

[ FFFFFFAHK. Try that again. ]

I mean... a... date... [ Beat. Holding breath and wondering why, WHY she even said that. Oh right. Because Raye and Blake both thought she should at least..one time... though she was watching him out of the corner of her eye, ready to babble a quick 'as friends' addition just in case he reacted weird. ]

[Of all the things he'd thought she'd ask, this was not one of them. So he's momentarily baffled but then he flashes a big grin.]

Sure! That'd be great!

[At the same time he was remembering what Battler told him so accepting was the only real solution.]

[ For some reason she was surprised by that agreement. She grins back, her arm tightening around his waist briefly. ]

...okay then... um. I..

I thought we could ... go out on a picnic? [ Just a day for them and them alone. They could go for a walk, have a picnic and if the night was clear maybe they'd even be able to see the stars. Just like..friends? ]
