Good afternoon, Genessia! Thank you for all of your patience and kindness as I've gotten settled down here. It means a lot.

My name is Eliot Durant and I'll one of your new librarians at the Genessia Library. I've memorized a portion of the catalog already, so you can ask me any questions about finding the books that you need. 

I would also like to extend my services as a Living Library to anyone who needs them. I can store any amount of information in my memory and retrieve it when necessary. So if anyone has something they need stored in record, please let me know. I would like to get up to date with the history of our captive stay here and the political situation in the cities, so if anyone has a moment... I can provide snacks and refreshments while you fill me in.

Ah! And lastly... Sorry to have rambled. If anyone needs chocolate recipes, I know quite a few. Feel free to stop by the library and pick up a copy.

[Eliot works the morning and afternoon shift. Should anyone come swing by the library, they'll get a cheerful wave and soft, almost muted call of 'Welcome~!' Can't talk in the library and kick himself out before the evening shift starts, after all. Eliot has written out some chocolate recipes and left them on the counter.]

[You have won his attention quite easily mentioning sweets, Eliot. Augustine listens in to this broadcast with muted intrigue. Life here in this odd realm must be rather mundane. All the posts he encountered thus far seem so cheerful.]

Yes, sir. Valentines is a great excuse to make and eat lots of chocolate. Have you ever made chocolate from scratch before?

I cannot say that I ever had the pleasure of doing much of any culinary work.

Yes, it's February. It has taken me some time to adjust to the new calendar as well, no worries.

[Eliot is all smiles, though he does wonder what a 'nameday' is.]

Well, if you'd like a recipe then I'll be transcribing a few copies. Chocolate isn't as hard to make as you'd think.

...I would urge caution. I don't think all here are...benevolent.

It should be fine. As long as no one literally tries to take my head, I'm quite resilient. Knowledge should be open to everyone.

Knowledge is power, Eliot. There are those who would use knowledge for their own ends, and often at the expense of others. I wouldn't distribute it so freely.

But unfortunately, I'm not supposed to have any say in who uses my memory. Libraries don't get to choose who uses them...

Eliot...you're more than a library. I've known a few libraries in my time. They've been...cheeky, to be sure, but I've never held a conversation with one before.

While I understand what makes you say that, I still... Well, I guess I must take pride in doing my job properly. I'm here to provide resources and knowledge to anyone who asks. If I don't continue that job wherever I'm living, I'll feel strange.

I do appreciate your concern. If anyone asks for any suspicious knowledge, I'll... uhh... [He's thinking hard. Does he have rules and guidelines for what to do? Because he doesn't want to pollute his library head with original thoughts.]

[Guess who spends a lot of time at the library when not working for three days a week or doing commissions, or even if she was and needed to do research anyway? This girl.

Today's selection of books she had, reached just over her head. She was studying various books that didn't have a single connection to each other, but the young woman wanted to read and learn and enjoy the experience of being able to read a huge selection of books.

[Unfortunately, Eliot does not remember Rapunzel. He most certainly stored those memories out of his conscious reach, since he was in 'vampire mode' back then. The person that greets her is his cheery, ignorant self. With no graphic memories to foul his mood, he might almost seem like a different person: Smiling, bright eyed, and even speaking in a lighter voice.

He leans to the side to peek over her tower of books, chuckling lightly at her collection.]

Of course, miss. What can I do for you?

[Rapunzel paused for a moment, there was a clear difference, but Rapunzel as going to be chipper regardless.]

I'm trying to find a book... I guess this probably isn't helpful but it's hard to explain what the book I am looking for is because I don't actually know if something like it exists.

Well, I can certainly do my best to find it for you.

[He's up for the challenge. Eliot is already tapping his cheek thoughtfully.]

Or at the very least, I can try. What sort of book is it?

It's like...Um...Trying to learn about various holidays, so I was wondering if there were books on holidays?

[Tghis might imply a different type of holiday, but she didn't think about that one or know there was such a thing.]

On holidays, hm? Do you mean holidays specific to Genessia, or in other worlds?

[Because he's sure they have some sort of Genessia holiday book. It's just a matter of how to find it...]

Many holidays are based in religion, so perhaps the religion section would have what you're looking for... That, and maybe astrology and calendars... Hm. [He takes out a piece of paper, preparing to write the locations.]

*That makes two pinked haired people in the library. Sonico reached the main desk, returning the various books she had borrowed - a rather strange selection of fiction paperbacks*

[Eliot is happy to accept the books. He notes their covers and what they have in common, beaming the same smile as always.]

Would you recommend any of these books? You sure read a lot.

Uhm... Maybe not. I thought I'd give them a try but... I don't think sci-fi is my thing, in the end. But - they killed some time, I suppose. Just not for me.

Sci-Fi is a pretty difficult genre to get into. Have you tried any other genre recently?

[He doesn't want anyone to leave the library disappointed, after all.]

It's good when a book can take up spare time, but I really hope you find something that makes you want time to stop.

Hmm... I've tried a few things. Some crime... and I suppose some of that is okay. And I tried some romance but -

*Sonico pauses and just sadly shakes her head*

I read a lot of non-fiction, but I've been wanting to get more into reading novels...

What about a general fantasy series, then? Though, there's also historical fiction. That might cross over with your interest in non-fiction?
