Good afternoon, Genessia! Thank you for all of your patience and kindness as I've gotten settled down here. It means a lot.

My name is Eliot Durant and I'll one of your new librarians at the Genessia Library. I've memorized a portion of the catalog already, so you can ask me any questions about finding the books that you need. 

I would also like to extend my services as a Living Library to anyone who needs them. I can store any amount of information in my memory and retrieve it when necessary. So if anyone has something they need stored in record, please let me know. I would like to get up to date with the history of our captive stay here and the political situation in the cities, so if anyone has a moment... I can provide snacks and refreshments while you fill me in.

Ah! And lastly... Sorry to have rambled. If anyone needs chocolate recipes, I know quite a few. Feel free to stop by the library and pick up a copy.

[Eliot works the morning and afternoon shift. Should anyone come swing by the library, they'll get a cheerful wave and soft, almost muted call of 'Welcome~!' Can't talk in the library and kick himself out before the evening shift starts, after all. Eliot has written out some chocolate recipes and left them on the counter.]

[He laughs at that. He would ask where she finds the time in a year, but doesn't want to know the answer anyway. Some things are best kept as charming mysteries.]

Me too! Though, I've yet to find a piano or violin to play here. Music can untangle all sorts of stress from the soul.

Does that mean you can read sheet music?

I believe there are music shops around, so we can find one.

[She nodded slightly.]

Then perhaps we can play together sometime! Music is one thing I'm happy to have stuck in my head.

[He's in such a good mood that he almost forgets he's supposed to be helping her with books. The tower of books and thought of what he lives for snap him out of it slightly. Eliot is still smiling more sincerely than usual.]

Oh, goodness. I got distracted. I'm sorry for that. Books on holidays, right?

That would be so fun! You just set up the day and I'll be there.

[Now that she remembers what the original use of this device was about she realized that they should move back to it.]

That's right, though we just had a very lovely conversation about music. It was fun.

Mm, it was... I haven't found anyone else in Genessia to talk music with.

[Still smiling, Eliot finishes up with a book list.]

I'll certainly let you know. I'll have to purchase a piano or violin somewhere, then I can participate properly.

I would love to have those in my apartment, but I only have one spare room and that's a bedroom. I don't have room otherwise,

I've been wondering lately if I should upgrade myself. If I'm to have a piano, I would want it to have room for the music to breath... Houses are so expensive, though.

I've lived in something around the same size if not a tiny bit bigger and usually, I made do.

How expensive are houses though?

Really? So another apartment?

And, well... Between the money Augustine and I make, we could afford one now. I know he wanted an estate, but I don't think we can realistically afford that between just us two...

What the difference between an estate and a house?
