[An orange haired girl appears on the feed, waving cheerfully.] Salutations, Genessia! My name is Penny, and it's a pleasure to meet all of you. [A pause.] I've come to understand that many of us were brought here from our own worlds, and I've decided that I'd like to help out as much as I can while I'm here!

I'm sure it must be strange winding up in an unfamiliar place... it's also rather exciting, though! [Of course, she was a little nervous. Not as nervous as she could be, considering she saw a familiar face in a hologram not long after her arrival... but the concept of being in a new world, a new universe, excited her more than it scared or unnerved her. Even if it placed her far, far away from her father. She'll just have to hope he doesn't notice she's gone. She does hate worrying him.]

I couldn't help but notice that someone from home is here... I don't know if you'll see this, but if you do, hello Weiss! [Waves again.] If anyone else from home is here, please let me know! I'd be oh-so-happy to see you!

I think, in the meantime, I would like to explore around this city and see what there is to find. It's so big! [And with one final wave as a farewell, she cuts the feed.]

To some, Penny may stand out more than the average new arrival, with her brightly colored hair and outfit -- but to some she may blend in more. It's not hard to spot her stopping and staring at every new thing she finds with slightly widened eyes, or pestering passersby with questions about the world that she hadn't found the answer to yet. Trying to make new friends and learn as much as she possibly can about this new world she's been 'kidnapped' to.

There are others here. Ruby and Blake aren't, but Sun, Jaune, Nora, Yang, Mercury, Emerald, Whitley, Winter, Qrow, and my father are. [ Ilia she doesn't know about at the time of this thread and she hasn't seen Raven or really spoken to Neo. Weiss looks like she's going over her head in a moment to see if she missed anyone. ] And now you.

Wow, there are a lot of people from home! [A beat.] And a few names I don't recognize. But it's... good... that they're here? Maybe it's bad? I dunno.

[It's a different world, and not their own, but Weiss' hologram mentioned how easy it was to live life here while being 'kidnapped'. Changing the subject--]

Um, so how have you been doing? While you've been here, I mean.

Winter and Whitley are my siblings. You.. might have met Winter? She works for General Ironwood. [ Penny came in with General Ironwood after all, she doubted that she'd never seen her. ] Whitley is my younger brother, Qrow is Ruby's uncle. Everyone else I think you've at least seen from the tournament.

I consider it a good thing to be here, though I'm sure not everyone agrees.

[ She gives a smile. ] I have a good life here, even if things can be.. difficult at times.

Maybe! Does she have the same color hair as you? Looks a little like an older you? [Basically, yes, she has.]

Is it a good thing to be here? [She thinks for a moment, recalling the hologram.] You've been here for a long time, but I haven't seen you disappear or anything. Does being here not affect things back at home?

Yes, but it's much shorter and tied back much more tightly. She's also taller and has a much sterner expression. [ THat's a good question, Penny. One Weiss isn't quite sure how to answer. In Penny's case, it definitely is. But Penny doesn't know that. In Weiss's case it is because she wants to be here. Other people... they want to go home. ]

As far as we can tell, people who end up here are taken out of time from home, so no one will have a problem with you being here and nothing bad can happen back home because you're gone. [ It can happen, but not because they're here. ] I think it's a good thing for a lot of people, but I don't blame others for wanting to return to their homes. Not everyone arrives with a lot of people they appreciate already around, after all.
