Welcome to the Festival of Amore!
A wonderful festival dedicated to celebrating love of the romantic nature.



The whole park is decorated in the traditional colors of Valentine's Day, red, white, and various shades of pink. Hearts are the theme and though you won't be turned away, those without a partner to spend the evening with may get a few strange looks or start to feel rather lonely.

Festival Games
There are a number of activities to partake in, including festival games, the most popular of which seems to be the Super Ball Scooping, in which hundreds of balls float around in a pool of water, secretly marked with prizes- mostly goldfish, though there is one hidden that has a special romantic getaway to win! The challenge is that you must use a paper net, so the balls will often break as you try to get them into your bowl. Additionally, the balls are stirred up after each play of three scoops. Other traditional festival games like dart tossing, wack-a-mole, ring toss, and more. However, there is one challenge that you should be aware of for all games. You and your partner must do them together! This means two hands on the ring when you toss it! Hold the paper net steadily together! Good luck!

Food Stalls and the Chocolate Fondue Stream
There are a variety of foods from around the world available at the festival, most of which seem to have some kind of love-related theme to them. Spaghetti for two a la Lady and the Tramp, heart-shaped pizzas, pink french macarons, hearty waffles on a stick, romantic eggs in a basket, Shrimp skewers, and more.

Running through the inner circle of the food stall areas is a small stream raised above the ground with candy and fruit decorations lining it to hide the metal fondue heater that keeps the chocolate within the body of the stream warm and flowing. There are large bins of fruits like strawberries, bananas, rice krispy treat bites, and other fun things to dip in the chocolate river. It's very cute, and very chocolatey.

Paddle Boats
The large pond in the middle of the park has a number of paddle boat swans available for you and your partner to go through a tunnel of love, or simply enjoy the water and get some alone time away from the rest of the party for a good cuddle.

Live Entertainment: Eli Ayase and Nico Yazawa!
The live entertainment will be provided by celebrity idol Nico Yazawa and Eli Ayase tonight! Put your hands together for a special performance filled with their L-O-V-E for everyone! ♥ ♥ ♥ They've got a wonderful set prepared!

Feel free to enjoy the concert either by standing up close or putting down a blanket for you and your bae. Blankets are available for purchase if you forgot yours!

Fortune Telling
Love fortune telling, of course! Find out your romance's future from famed fortune teller Geneva Godiva! She won't give any truly negative fortunes of course, it's a positive occasion, so if your outlook is bleak she might try to phrase it more positively or offer advice to turn things toward the positive. Feel free to pick your own fortune- be it anything from "You might want to see a couples counselor to make it through a rough patch, darlings" or "I see triplets!" or just "Wowie, I can see clearly now- your rain is gone! Looking good for this next year, sweetie pies!" Enjoy and have fun, the accuracy of the reading is up to you, but she won't tell you that a relationship is going to sink at any point. She'll use crystal ball, tarot, whichever- but not seance or anything. It's happy lovey-dovey fortune telling!

End of the Night
The festival itself was timed with the arrival of Genessia's firefly season. The first night of fireflies rising coincides with Valentine's Day this year, so if you stay until the end of the festival, you'll be able to see the fields light up with little glowing bugs. It's a romantic sight, best seen with your partner.

[Cloud's gaze continued to travel outwards, the sound of the festival music and the melodies of the idols in the distance in kind. not even the Gold Saucer went all in when it came to this kind of theme. a theme of love, romance and good feelings and companionship... he couldn't really say that any of this was a bad thing to experience. he's about to get up, possibly check out the food stands when the voice catches him off guard from his side.]

[he almost jumps, looking up to the young half-esper he'd met just the other day. at first, though he felt a sense of comfort and oddly enough, nostalgia around her, Cloud was still trying to figure out how he really felt about her. the fact he was here before and he'd forgotten the faces of those who'd come to befriend him before. or perhaps...that wasn't so much the case with Terra. he couldn't even put it into words, let alone thoughts coherently, as muddled as her own memories were of this place, of him, of how she knew him...

there was something more. something that nagged at him, but not deeply enough that it kept him up at night. her question sinks in and Cloud blinks as the light shade of cyan begins to shift slightly, returning back to that soft glow of mako-infused blue she was more familiar with.]

Yeah, just thought I'd take a breather for a sec. [he gets to his feet without much of a second's thought as he stands by her side.] I've never seen a festival like this one before.

[Terra's expression softens as Cloud raises to his feet.]

Neither have it but- [Her voice trails off as she looks around them, absorbing the sights as if to imprint them in her mind's eye.] It's wonderful. [A little lonely for someone like Terra. Not because she is single but because she's forgotten what it felt like to love.] I've begun to remember things as I walk around. A festival like this one but I believe I was selling flowers. [She thinks that Cloud is in the memory too but she isn't sure and she doesn't want to alarm him in any way.]

I don't remember very much but I'd like to walk around more.

[She smiles at Cloud.]

Would you like to walk with me?

Flowers? [he asks as the brief flicker of a memory comes to mind, a girl presenting a flower to him for the premium price of 1 gil.] Good to know your memory's getting jogged.

[when Terra smiles up at him and asks if he would walk with her around the festival, a look of surprise crosses his face.] You're here by yourself?

[well, he couldn't exactly leave her to that, could he? especially if it might help her with her memories. he nods before stepping to her side]

Yes. I don't know many people in the city. [And those she remembers don't always remember her. It leaves Terra with plenty of solitary time.] Thank you.

[A soft smile pulls across her lips as she turns towards the festivities. She doesn't know where to go and walks in a direct that's filled with shops and games. All of which are themed after love.]

Have you been in love Cloud?

[Terra looks over at him as they walk.]

Well that's one problem solved. [a beat, his eyes turn without his knowing it as he looks to her, the two of them walking along the longer path that's lined with various shops and games. a shade of spring green.] You found me.

[he goes silent after that, though not for a lack of finding anything to talk about... it was the content feeling of being around someone he knew. and yet it still didn't make as much sense as he would have liked either. this mysterious girl who recalled him... not just from her previous tenure here within Genessia, but the faint recalling of a man that was familiar to her outside of this world too. he couldn't say for sure, or rather maybe he was too afraid to assume, but every time he looked at her, he...

"Have you been in love Cloud?"]

... What?

[her question stirs his thoughts from before as he takes a second to let that question sink in. it wasn't a subject that he talked about often. but they were surrounded by all sorts of love-themed attractions on Valentine's Day, after all... it almost felt as if it was out of the blue. and he's not sure how to answer that question at first.]

I...uh...

[crap, why was it hard to look at her? Cloud does a well enough job to maintain his composure despite the change in his eyes and the hint of rose to his cheeks as he rubs the back of his neck. his gaze is fixed upon an attraction that had couples tossing rings over the tops of bottles. what kind of prizes were there to win...? but Terra was waiting for him to answer. it wasn't that his love life was tragic or anything. he was just... a complete failure at saying how he felt]

I think...everyone has at some point in their life.

[that wasn't a no at least? his gaze, still holding a shade of bright pink turns back to her]

What about you, Terra?

[You found me.

Terra can't help but smile at Cloud. There is something familiar in his air and company that she can't seem to escape. She feels comfortable but, more than that, she feels safe. It's as if the other half of herself is miles away and she's only the young woman who is called Terra. It feels too simple for it to be true.

She gives him time to think, never pressing or demanding. It's a difficult question and one that currently plagues the young Espers thoughts.]

I don't know. Not before I arrived here but I worry...

[Her voice trails off as she turns towards the festivities around them.]

I feel as if I've forgotten someone important. It's scary but there are other feelings there too. Feelings that I don't recognize but I think they might be love. [She places her palm against her chest as if feeling the touch of a ghost brush against her skin. What is she unable to remember?

Her gaze turns back toward's Cloud, a soft blush spreading over her lips.] I hope we can both fall in love one day.
