Just a friendly reminder that you idiots elected this team again. This was the choice the majority of you made.
Where's Grell? Or was this her idea?
Where's Grell? Or was this her idea?
DEPUTY RECAP:
Maribelle- both deputy (person who arrests people) and the public defender (how terrifying is it that the person who arrests you is who your life is dependent on? not fair to anyone who needs legal representation whether they're criminal or not, bias, horrifying)
Marco- about 90% sure he set that fire, threatened to do it again
Remilia- so egotistical she had to come try to rub it in my face after they won, then acted surprised when she got treated like shit for being an asshole. an immature bully who threatens anyone who questions her. definitely the kind of person you want in this position.
Don't know about Hikaru Takeda and Seth Rim yet, but I am sensing a pattern here lol

I am telling you that it doesn't matter. This isn't about you. It isn't about whether you're just and fair or if you really promise not to do it. This is about the people you're victimizing by doing this.
The fact is, your boss is in charge of you, volunteer or not. If you don't go with what she says, you could be fired from that job. You don't want to lose that job, you do what she says. Which if you are fair and just makes you the most just person on that team- so you've now subjected the city to an entirely corrupt system. If you don't get fired and choose not to do what she demands when she wants it, then you're failing the people you're supposed to be defending.
The people you're defending, who don't have as much of a choice as you'd like to believe if you're the public defender because you're assigned to cases not chosen by clients and they can't afford to choose someone else, they have to deal with knowing that no matter what choice you make, someone gets fucked. Chances are their life is more expendable than yours to you, because you've already proven that this argument is more about whether people believe you're incorruptible or not. Your ego shouldn't matter in this, but your entire argument is "If they don't want me they can just pick someone else" instead of considering a damn thing about your clients.
It isn't about what you want people to believe, it's about what your actions are telling the people you're supposed to be helping. I used to be a criminal. I know exactly what I'd be scared of if I had to go to court, and it's someone like you.

The fact that I work on a volunteer basis does in fact mean that what I do, I do purely for the sake of justice and not strictly for those in authority. If Grell asks me to do something that is against justice I will openly defy her, even if it should cost me my job or my life. Will I still enforce the law? Yes? Will I defend those that I have to apprehend? Only if they ask me to do so. It's not a matter of ego, it's a matter of taking a stand and doing something when so many others are content to sit idly by and watch the world burn. There aren't enough people in this world who will stand up for the innocent, so I am simply trying my best to do the most that I can to help as many people as I can.
People can call me what they like, I've earned the scorn of my peers for decades, but I will always fight to protect the innocent.
Re: [Text]
1. Representing yourself against a trained lawyer is a death sentence and "seeking counsel elsewhere" definitely doesn't cost time/money lol im sorry bitch but not everyone has that kind of money
2. Working on a volunteer basis means you don't get paid that's all it means, you're assigning meaning to it that NO ONE ELSE HOLDS. You're still only working as long as Grell wants you to.
3. Let me repeat this part because hopefully the bigger text will help: if you quit your job bc you don't get along with her, all that does is make you look like an asshole and lock you out of investigations because it's not your job to get involved so you're an obstruction. You can't do anything, if you actually want to do something worthwhile, you can't do it from within.
Whether you bitch about it or not you're still not considering ANYONE BUT YOURSELF

You're judging me by solely a portion of my actions and assuming that all others will judge me thus. Are you really so certain that everyone thinks this same way? Or perhaps that all those that I am hoping to help would think this way? You're right in that I don't care what other people think about what I'm doing, I am simply doing what I can in what I believe will help the most people. If the majority decides I am not doing an adequate job I will graciously step aside to let another take up the mantle of responsibility.
As I told you, if any client of mine does not wish for my counsel, I will assist them in finding counsel elsewhere even financially. Your temper and vulgarity may be one of the many reasons people felt they couldn't trust you to be better than what we currently have established here in Evergreen. You seem to have a severe lack of tact, and I sincerely hope that for your sake it doesn't come back to haunt you.
Grell does in fact listen to me on matters she has me assigned to, and if it is important she may even back down from certain issues, or I will find some other means to do what is best for all those involved.
Re: [Text]
and since i didn't win since people would clear rather vote for grell and her crew of corrupt pyromaniacs and egotistical jackasses than someone who meets the minimum standard of "Don't set your people on fire" I literally don't have to be mature about calling you on your crap :)
so bye have a nice day

we should definitely make an exception for you instead of expecting everyone to live by the same standards.
no person should be in both of those positions. it's not about you.
