Hello everyone! I just got the most majestic pokemon! He’s fierce and loyal, with scales that seem made of steel and a powerful jaw. I can’t decide what to name him, though. I’m torn between Leviathan, Bonecrusher or Shadowbringer. What do you all think? This is him…

[He turns the camera towards the pond next to his garden to show his magnificent pokemon…

….It’s a Magikarp.

A Magikarp that’s splashing around desperately as if he's having a seizure, trying to get away from a Pidgeotto trying to grab him. Dray frowns and throws an apple at the bird, making it fly away. It’s clearly not the first time this had happened if his precision hitting the flying pokemon is any indication.]

Anyway, the name...

[There’s a rather distressed whine coming from off camera and Colette can be heard speaking in a soothing tone.]

Molly, what’s the matter? Come here. Hey, Dray? [Her voice is louder now.] Did you lick my Swirlix again? I told you it really upsets her!

[Dray's eyes shift and his ears drop, he look more than a little guilty.] Er.....Noooo?

Ah, naming it after your friend...Too bad is taken then, in fact.

Yeah, he's big and scary on the outside, but a major softy on the inside. It's why I wanted a certain Pokemon for a while.

Finally got him and so I took the name.

I wish he would turn up here, but he has to be a good father and look after the kid so, I don't mind.

No we didn't have a kitten, he's a human boy and we are replacement parents.

[He couldn't help but laugh slightly.]

We just look after him basically.

Ah....it's still cute, though. I'm glad he found someone so good as you to take care of him.

He didn't find out. It's a long and complicated story.

But never the less. I do see him like a son, so that's that.

It's not that I don't want to say. It's actually because it is a long and complicated story. I'd be here for weeks.

But never the less... Guess I miss my dysfunctional surrogate family sometimes so I named Pokemon after them.

If they ever came though it might be awkward, but amusing at the same time.

Like 'Welcome to Genessia, here I have a Pokemon named after you. I thought they suited you very well. Why? Because you're such a biiiig old softie.'

[He can't help but laugh slightly.]

Then I would get yelled at, but it would be worth it. Though if I had gotten a cat-like pokemon would you have been offended if I named it after you, especially if it acted like you?

Exactly. And then you can list all the ways the pokemon reminded you of them. And laugh when they got even grumpier about it.

That's our friendship in a nutshell though, so it works out.

[It was rather true, but they at least had some level of understanding one another and Fai was admittedly grateful for it. he knew he wouldn't be the person he was now without some of his stubbornness.]

I don't think I ever got another friendship like that, mostly teasing on both ends. But that's fun in a different way, isn't it?

[Sometimes being stubborn is needed, yep. Friends like that help to ground us.]

I hadn't had friends in years, so I like what we have. I think so.

I had people I knew, but never friends.

[He considered Ashura before everything close enough to family. After all, he had done so much for him and his brother. Sure there was a purpose he did all of that, but still. He helped him in certain ways, even if not all of them were the best or healthiest of ways.]

So it's nice to have something like that here.

[Dray only had abusers but that' snot something he wants to bring up now that their conversation is cheerful. He only nods at Fai with a smile.]

I'm glad you are happy about it. I like it very much too. You should come over more often, so we can have te and pastries. Bring your own pets if you want too, of course.

I will try, at best right now I can visit once or two a week at best because that's when I spend time in Fayren's cafe.
