[Where? Just where was sure? One moment, she was in Serenes, next to her father, trying to guide their people into healing all of their own wounds. The hidden scars the wars and years have left on them. The hologram message, everything didn't make sense. She idly glances down at an worn pendent made of a phoenix feather. The one gift she swore to never lose. Her beloved gave it to her.

The sound of surf and sand can be heard before a much softer sound, then the sound of someone falling into the sand. There was a silence for a few moments before a soft song is transmitted through the communicators. The voice singing in a warm, gentle and loving tone.]

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine.
You make me happy, when skies are gray.
You never know dear, how much I love you
So please don't take my sunshine away.

[The verse is sung again before she goes to just hum for a few moments and then the smartphone was pressed off.]

[She giggles a little before smiling even more.]

I guess so. But why then would he be so aggressive then towards them?

[Something to ask Reyson if he ever comes here. She never thought that he had an aggressive bone in his body. But perhaps Ikki is right about Reyson.

She frowns and quickly shakes her head.]

I doubt that I could ever fully forget you. You are very impossible to forget. But still... I am sorry. It is still something you should never have gone through.

[She smiles and nods her head, cooing and ears wiggling.]

Aye, that is what matters most now. And you are here with me now. Let us never leave each other's sides again.

[Her pale face is now blushing as much as she could. A wing moving to half hide her face when he pulls back and smiles.]

Let us say then that we each give each other much more than what we deserve, my Darling husband.

[She goes to take a deep breath to compose herself and points towards a tree.]

That tree will be good. So he can have shade and shelter during both sunny and rainy days. He can be protected a little there.

Fireworks. He would be an explosion of fireworks.

[It's not even something to wonder about.]

Maybe he is aggressive? Have you considered that? What happened to him after the attack, while you were asleep? I suppose that unless he was asleep as well he probably has a lot of anger inside, even if he can come to forgive and move on, I wouldn't fault him for having a seed of aggression in him after what you all had to go through.

[Because chances are that just like Leanne thought they were all dead, Reyson may have thought the same, that his family and people were dead. And if he had to live through years of that... Then again, it's just speculation, he doesn't know the other and can't expect to do so. But he's pretty sure that it's not a game as Leanne thinks.]

I have no intention of doing so, never had any intention to begin with. Let's hope the stars are kind enough to grant us that wish. Or to at least allow us to reunite again should we ever come apart... Though I do not wish for us to become like Orihime and Hikoboshi.

[But he supposes it would still be better than to never see each other again.

His smile doesn't fade even as she composes herself, simply looking at where she's pointing before nodding.]

As you wish, I'll be done in a moment.

[And he will get to work, digging with his own hands a nice grave for the animal before gesturing for her to put it to rest there once he's done.]

Big or small ones? Would he sparkle?

[She giggles again as their small teasing of Ace.]

Brother.... I will have to ask him, should he ever come. But even so... I am positive he will approve of you.

[She smiles and nods her head.]

Same here, I shall pray that we are always together. We will find a way to be reunited even if we are separated. Orihime and Hikoboshi? Who are they?

[She quickly looks him over.]

I need to give you another one of my crest feathers. So that a part of me is always with you. That along with my heart will always be with you.

[She smiles as he watches him dig the grave, following him once he gestures for her to put it to rest. She gives the animal one last hug and places a soft kiss on the top of it's head before carefully and gently laying it in the grave. Tears were forming in her eyes as she kept her hand on it before slowly withdrawing and nodding to Ikki.

She felt guilty that she couldn't save it so hopefully, these small things will make up for it. To give it's spirit and soul a peaceful rest.]

It's Ace so... Big ones. And he wouldn't sparkle, that's Marco's bussiness.

[He has never seen Ace sparkle but already can tell that Marco does. He does it even when he's not in phoenix form, at least in Ikki's eyes.]

Well, even if he doesn't approve I can't say I would back away. I may not want to cause you trouble, but I don't care enough to be willing to give up on you.

[Besides, it's not as if he has anything that would prove that her being with him puts her in danger or would cause her more pain. There's the memory of Esmeralda but... Ikki is at a point where he has given up and decided to be greedy and just take what he wants in this regard. He blames Ace for that.]

Hmm, they are two deities from my world from an old folkstale. Orihime was the daughter of Tentei, the Jade Emperor, she had the talent of weaving beautiful clothes, so beautiful that her father wanted her to keep weaving them forever, so she did, happy to make her father happy. But with time she also began to long being able to fall in love because her work didn't allow her to go and meet other people. Her father understood her wish and set her to meet Hikoboshi, a young man who lived across the Amanogawa, a river made of stars, also known as the Milky Way, and who tended to the cows of heaven.

When the two met, Orihime and Hikoboshi fell in love right away, and got married soon after. But after that, both were so busy with each other that they stopped tending to their jobs. The Jade Emperor got angry and separated them forcefully, sending Hikoboshi back to the other side of the Amanogawa. Orihime cried and pleaded with her father and eventually the emperor allowed them to meet again, but only one day per year and only if both of them worked hard at their respective tasks.

[Ikki explains the tale easily as he works on the grave, falling silent after it and waiting patiently as Leanne gives the last goodbye to the animal. Once she's done he works on covering the grave again.]

And loud, you can't forget how loud he will be too.

[She smiles and shakes her head.]

You will have me on your side as well. I will do what I can to convince him. Even if I have to get Papa to help.

[She listens as he explains the tale. He was right, she didn't want to end up like those two if she could help it. To be separated from him to only meet one day a year. After she said her goodbyes, she goes to place her hands in her lap as she watches him cover the grave again. He had such a kind and gentle heart once you get past all the anger and guilt.

She waits for him to be done before reaching over to grab his hand, a small smile on her face as a few more tears fall from her eyes. She was grateful he did this much for the animal.]

After meeting Marco I have the feeling they are both just equally loud, though.

[He smiles at that before he shrugs.]

Thanks, but for now it doesn't really matter. Does it? We have no way to get to your world and they aren't here. And even if we could go to your world I should first go to mine and finish my mission.

[So that Seiya can be saved. Or the whole world destroyed. Whatever happens first.

He remains silent as he focuses on his current task, giving the animal as much respect as he can, as well as kindness. It's not much, he knows it, but... Leanne had choosen to give the animal all that love, as her husband he should do the same and support her. Besides he had felt it in its Cosmos, how happy and glad it was that Leanne had found it, that she was loving it as it left.

He takes her hands and squeezes them, smiling at her tenderly and not saying anything about the tears. He hates to see her cry but... He can't fault her for it this time.]

Thank you, Leanne. Thank you for being so kind and loving, the world doesn't deserve you.

[He kisses her forehead, he is so lucky to be loved by her. So lucky to have met her. Part of him wonders if he's dreaming and this is just that, a dream and that he will wake up in this world without her. Or without remembering her.]

We would need to cover our ears then so they won't hurt.

[She chuckles and shakes her head.]

For now, it doesn't matter. We have each other again. I would follow you to your world if that's the case. I will help you with your mission. And no, there will be no talking me out of it.

[A death was always painful to watch, no matter how great or small the life was. Death will always affect others around. She looks over to him when she feels him squeezing her hands. She forces a smile at his words and kiss.]

It is nothing, truly it isn't... I would like to think someone else would have done the same for it.

[She leans against him, sobbing for a few minutes. Though once she is done, she just goes to cuddle him.]

We should go someone more private. I still have all my scars to show you.

I'll put you in a bubble of Cosmos then so it doesn't hurt you.

[Like he tried to do when that plant illness was spreading around. Nevermind how that ended for him, he will do it again if given the chance.]

I wouldn't think of talking you out of it. Just of running away without you while you're distracted with something else. But right now none of that is something to consider.

[At least he's honest in that he would just try to sneak away without her, because he knows that if they talk about it she just won't give up.

He allows her time to cry, as much as he hates it, when it's for something like this he can understand and allow it. It would be much different if she cried because of him, that's what he hates the most. The idea of causing her so much pain that she would cry.]

... We should? Things have really changed, haven't they? I would have never expected you to be impatient about undressing and showing even me your naked body.

[He's just teasing. And he doesn't really feel any urgency in seeing her scars, he's sure they are as beautiful as the ones he can already see.]

Or is your heat coming up again?

[It wasn't that long ago since she had one with him but... If it has been longer for her maybe the cycles are messed up or something.]

[She remembers that time and almost in an instant.]

No. You will not do that. You are not allowed to do that for one as myself.

[But then he admits that he will try to sneak away and sighs.]

I guess I have to be more on guard around you. So that I can stay with my beloved more.

[She is thankful that he has given her the time to cry and mourn for the animal. It would only be around him, that she will be willing to show her tears. He will be the only one she can show this weak side to.

She was about to thank you and then... The teasing and she blushes quite a bit, moving to push him a little.]

F-F-Fine! I won't show you them! I just did want any surprises or at least better prepare myself in case...

[She goes to let out a slow breath, feeling all the anxiety of the thought of having someone see her naked again. But then he brings up her heat and the blush deepens.]

It wasn't anywhere near that time and I am not sure.

[So much blushing now.... As well as pouting. Her wings moves to hide as much of herself as possible from him.]

[Well, he's not surprised by her reply but she should know him enough to predict what he will answer.]

I know I'm not allowed to do that. But see, I'm your husband and you're my precious wife, so I'll do whatever I consider it's necessary to protect you. And, regardless of what you think, you're worth every sacrifice. I'm afraid the only way for you to avoid all that would be to run away from me.

[But she won't do that, would she? He smiles at her, almost arrogant but full of confidence and strength.]

Yes, you should. It wouldn't be fair that I'm the only one on guard regarding where you are going.

[He laughs at her reaction, allowing her to push him away, his laugh rumbling in his chest, warm and relaxed. Only she makes him feel like that.]

I already told you, didn't I? I love your scars, no matter how many of them you have, or where you have them. And unless you can tell me who caused them so I can burn them alive until their skin and muscles melt and their bones turn into ashes, there's no reason for any of us to worry about them.

[And he reaches for her to bring her closer and nuzzle her face and neck, kissing it softly.]

Well, we're not sure what season is going on in this world, maybe we should check that, just in case it affects you. That worries me more than the scars.

[So much pouting right now.]

You know that I will never do that! Especially after being separated from you for so long... Bully.

[She then gives him a look and sighs.]

Maybe I should find a way to throw you in my world and go in your stead on your mission. That way it can still be fulfilled and you won't be stupid while on it.

[And forever not telling him right now just how attractive he looks when he is being like this. She has forgotten how sweet the sound of his laughter was to her.]

You have, but these ones are not nearly as bad as a couple of others. I am sorry Darling but I can't do that. To my knowledge, all of the perished during the wars. Even the ones I would have given my blessing for you to take care of.

[She easily moves closer to him, letting him be affectionate with her.... And trying to not make sounds when he kisses the scars on her neck.]

Yes, we should... I can already tell there is a change in the seasons and my body is reacting to the changes.

[A small frown.]

Who knows how I will be... The last time we were together, that was during my first heat. I would like to think I have a better handle on myself by now even if I am going into heat.

[He's just teasing her while holding her close, still smiling and looking at her with nothing but love -and some amusement- in his eyes.]

[He has no idea if he looks handsome to her or not, hus just knows he loves feeling this way and it only happens when she's around. Though if she told him that he looked attractive he would probably blush and deny it.]

Oh, well, if they all perished already I suppose there's nothing I can do. Unless I find a way into the afterlife in your world while you have me locked there, then I could exact my revenge on them. Doesn't matter that they are already dead.

[He has just been with her, so he doesn't really feel a need to be with her, but she has been without him for so long... Part of him, the phoenix inside him, wants to be affectionate with her and make sure that she remembers him and has his scent all over. So that no one doubts she's his wife.

He pauses a bit as she talks about her first heat, he remembers her being in pain and uncomfortable and him being worried and not knowing what to do. He had thought that at least it was over and it would be a while before it happened again, but it seems that he wasn't allowed that break.]

Did you suffer? While they happened in your world without me? Or did they not happen?

[Even though she is pouting, she couldn't help but to have nothing but love in her own eyes, even if they are sparkling a little now.]

I am not sure if that is possible. You would probably have to find Ashuera and convince her but unless you are one of the royal Herons, you won't find her easily. I can probably find her the easiest.

[She beamed a little at that fact.

A small contented sigh escapes her as her ears wiggled in joy and happiness. She missed this, she missed feeling so safe and loved like this. Everything felt right and right now, there was only them in the world.

But then he brings up her heats and she goes to shrug her shoulders.]

They were miserable but I couldn't show it.... Not to anyone. They all expected me to be strong and be the prime example, so I couldn't show the pain it was causing me.

It was starting to get more annoying than anything as potential suitors kept trying to court or claim me. Papa was frustrating during those times as well as he kept trying to pressure me into picking one, despite me telling him I already chosen you, Darling.

It wasn't that long ago for me. And it was one of your biggest blunders, I've to use it for all its worth.

[And it's not like she can't use some of hi> own blunders against him.

[He hums, raising an eyebrow and looking almost as if he's taking that as a challenge.]

Hades' body was hidden deep within Elysium a realm not accesible by humans or invaders, but that didn't stop us and we got to him. It may not be easy, but I've experience in facing hard times when dealing with deities.

[He catches the ear wiggling and laughs again against her neck.]

I see that no matter how much time passes, those little ears of you still love to wiggle.

[He sighs in light annoyance when she explains how they expected her to be strong and a prime example.]

Well, you can't really blame him, can you? His precious daughter finally woke up and became a woman only to go on saying that she had choosen a mate in some other world she had visited while she was asleep. Even if you didn't say the part about Nautilus, I was still a man he had no way to know that really existed.

[He's not really worried, after all he's sure she has already met plenty of guys more confident and handsome than him.]

His mood changes a little when she comments on not being a princess though.]

Maybe he has just given up on Reyson because he has dealt with him longer. Or because he's a guy and your father is the type that thinks a woman must be married as soon as possible or she loses value or something.

[Or he's worried others will think that way when looking at Leanne. Ikki's not blaming the man, he doesn't know him, but either way he doesn't agree with pressuring Leanne either. Then again he's quite biased. He's the reason why she won't marry after all.]

[She goes to sigh.]

I wouldn't be surprised if that is his mindset. To marry me off as soon as possible and start having nestling of my own.

[She moves to cuddle more against him, half closing her eyes so she can focus on his scent.]

[He sighs, pressing against her as he hears her say those things that still feel incredible. That he could complete someone, that he could make someone strong and not just cause them pain and death? A small part of him still counts the days before this strange dream ends, when the truth of what he causes to those he loves around him comes back knocking at his door. He ignores it all.]

Ah, so you're the Queen now. No wonder they will be so annoying about having to be strong and what not.

[It's funny how he says that as if he thinks that being queen must be a real pain and annoyance.]

[He follows her movements, shifting to lay down with her as she requests. It's not as if he has anything better to do at the moment.]

I know, but some stupid part of me still finds it hard to believe that I could be this lucky. But I know, and I love you as well, you're my family and as precious as my siblings if not more.

[After all, life without his brothers is annoying but bearable. Life without her? That would result in a very, very, very angry phoenix all day long.]

If they wanted a king they should have put Reyson in the throne, shouldn't they? Or Rafiel, him being married to the Wolf Queen would make for a good way to settle an alliance even more, at least that's how it was done in my world when monarchies ran rampant.

[She couldn't help but to giggle at his reasoning for missing her hints.]

For me, its hard to see the bad in you. I know its there but all I can see are the good. No one is perfect but you are just perfect to me, both good and bad traits.

[She sighs and look away.]

I didn't want you back then to be stuck with someone who was thrown away. Also, I didn't want to trap you to me. I wasn't worth giving your life for. I was foolish back then.

[She smiles as he also lays down, scooting closer to cradle his head to her, draping a wing over him. This... This was nice. So peaceful and nice.]

If anyone was lucky, then it is me for having you love me. I am so lucky and grateful to be chosen by you.

[She chuckles and shrugs her shoulders.]

Reyson didn't want it and Rafiel lives with his wife in a desert. The Wolf clan are vegabounds and travel a lot and in a pack. The both of them have to watch over them as they are as few as we Herons.

It is a way to forge stronger bonds with other clans but I guess we Herons have it easy in that respect as other clans already love and adore us. It isnt unusual for different clans to marry one another. As brother Rafiel proved.

[She goes to sigh.]

I just wish I was as strong as the Wolf Queen. She is the strongest female I know. But then I also see how she is with Rafiel and then she reminded me of you. Both in her gentleness, protectiveness and then her love and desire to fight.

So basically, you're incapable of giving objective judgement.

[He sounds amused about it at least. And he leans to kiss her cheek when she looks away.]

Foolish falls short. Though it's funny, you didn't want to trap me but you wanted me all the same. Much like I didn't want to condemn you to me, yet still loved you.

[Ikki frowns a bit.]

So you got stuck with it because your older brother didn't want to be king? And why did he not want it?

[There's a soft chuckle as she talks about the Wolf Queen.]

My love... You're the only woman I know capable to taming a phoenix and soothe its flames, not just mine but Marco said you did that to him as well. You are strong, just not in a way easily seen unless it's needed.

[She blushes before giggling.]

We seem to be more and more made for each other..... And I can make objective judgements!

[She shakes her head.]

He choose a different position... One that emcompasses all of the Clans. He became the Laguz ambassador, to help mend the wounds between the Beorc and the Laguz.

[She blinks at his chuckle, a hand idly moving to pet his hair.]

I guess then I should be grateful for my strength. But it is because of you I am strong.

[Girl, you just said you couldn't see the bad in him. Despite it being far more obvious than the good in his opinion.]

Oh, so it's not that he just didn't want to work. Hmm, that's good, I guess. Still sorry that they would throw all that on your shoulders.

[He smiles and shakes his head.]

[And boyfrieeeend! Just because you cant see the good doesnt mean she cant!

She chuckles and gives his head a light massage, enjoying semi-pampering him.]

That could be true. But, I guess if you think about it. I am probably the best pick until you come home with me or I have a son. Even if they may not fully want me, I will still do whatever I can for them.

[More light massaging.]

[She blinks before giggling.]
