[ What is this, a second message from the Attleton Guardian's office within a week? Once again it's published on the network, as well as being read on the radio and local TV. ]

Due to recent circumstances, the Attleton Guardian's office reminds you:
Capital punishment and torture are outlawed in Attleton, this is not to be circumvented through the bounty system.

Bounties are to be delivered alive only, unharmed beyond injuries incurred resisting arrest. If the bounty is killed in self-defense it is the hunter's responsibility to prove it beyond reasonable doubt.

Both bounty hunters and vigilantes will be held to Attleton laws. All acts of apprehending suspects are to be done with minimal damage to yourself, the suspect and property.

Suspects must be brought to the Guardian's office. Any attempt to exact personal punishment will be treated as a crime.

If attempts are made to circumvent the laws by bringing in bounties barely alive, be aware it will lead to further tightening of the regulations.

OOC: Basically this means Attleton will be copying Nova re. ingame consequences, though there is no bounty license system.
If Cassian responds to comments on this at all it is likely to be curt, but characters are welcome to use this post to talk among themselves.

I've never actually seen myself what Jedi are capable of but if it's anything like the stories told about them they must be a force to be reckoned with.

Even if it's all very fantastical to me. I know it's true and that they would be an asset, it's just... Hard to wrap your mind around floating rocks and floating people and all that actually being a normal part of a battlefield. It's easier to imagine now that I've grown used to working with magic users but still.

[ It just feels less weird when the magical people are from some faraway fairy tale-like galaxy than when they're from the planet next door. ]

Yeah, I know what you mean. I had a hard time wrapping my mind around it until I saw what Luke can do and started chasin' after the kids.

I still get surprised by a lot of the other things I see around here, though.

Me, too. I'm.... Well, you know how it goes. You try not to let it show. But I have a pokemon which can make it snow inside the house and my roommate makes a flood of water appear out of nowhere when it's his turn to clean the kitchen. It's just... something.

Yours does snow? Mine *has* to have a sandstorm-making ability. I feel like I'm back on Tatooine when he does that.

Back home it was the kids levitating things the second I said they couldn't have them. Or telekenetic water fights.

That sounds exactly like my pokemon... or Demyx. They look perfectly well-behaved for as long as I'm watching and the minute I'm not someone's decorating the freshly painted walls with mud or there's water orb juggling on the good carpet...

Now I have a good idea what raising human children is like.

It does have its aggravations, yeah.

I just wish we hadn't missed so much when they were babies. I just hope we can make up for it and get closer once I'm back home. Or if they show up here.

After everything you've told me about your busy lives it could be a good opportunity to have them show up here. It's not too dangerous right now, might be a nice change of pace for you as a family. Life can be surprisingly homely here between the catastrophes, after all.

Yeah, it might at that. Would be a good change of pace for a while.

I would hope so. If they ever do show up, you can trust I'll help keep an eye on your children.
