[ What is this, a second message from the Attleton Guardian's office within a week? Once again it's published on the network, as well as being read on the radio and local TV. ]

Due to recent circumstances, the Attleton Guardian's office reminds you:
Capital punishment and torture are outlawed in Attleton, this is not to be circumvented through the bounty system.

Bounties are to be delivered alive only, unharmed beyond injuries incurred resisting arrest. If the bounty is killed in self-defense it is the hunter's responsibility to prove it beyond reasonable doubt.

Both bounty hunters and vigilantes will be held to Attleton laws. All acts of apprehending suspects are to be done with minimal damage to yourself, the suspect and property.

Suspects must be brought to the Guardian's office. Any attempt to exact personal punishment will be treated as a crime.

If attempts are made to circumvent the laws by bringing in bounties barely alive, be aware it will lead to further tightening of the regulations.

OOC: Basically this means Attleton will be copying Nova re. ingame consequences, though there is no bounty license system.
If Cassian responds to comments on this at all it is likely to be curt, but characters are welcome to use this post to talk among themselves.

[ He gives him a scrutinizing look, half tempted to push it... More information is always important. But should he? Things are good as they are. ]

Is there anything I should be braced for? I'm not going to drop you. But I like to have plans ready.

The only real doomsday scenario I can think of is if my brother showed up here. The last time we fought, we did so on the edge of our world and the demon world where nothing could distract us. If he showed up here... we would probably have a fight that would level several blocks.

[He sighs, letting his head thud back against the back of his chair.]

Our family isn't the most... functional. And if I ever see him again, I am punching him right in the face. He owes me that much.

Sounds like he does.

[ A fight that could level whole blocks, hm? Cassian's face is grim as he mulls on that, once again reminded of his own incapability to be useful in such a battle between titans. ]

If he ever gets here, we will find ways to make sure nobody else gets hurt in the battle... and I have faith in your ability to win. You're Attleton's strongest fighter. You wouldn't let us down.

Hopefully I can talk him into taking it to the Midnight Channel. He prefers to fight without distractions so that should keep things safe for civilians.

That said... there's a lot of baggage between us and I'm honestly not sure how he'd respond to showing up here.

Probably not well, I would assume... or peacefully.

[ He averts his eyes, looking more than a little awkward. Sibling troubles are something Cassian has never known. ]

I'm sorry. You'll have our support, whatever happens.

[There's a very animated shrug.]

Hard to say. As far as I know, he's dead. Might take waking up here as a second chance. Who knows.

[ He looks pensive, lips pressed together, as his mind provides all the trouble that will come if he doesn't see it as a second chance. ]

We can only hope so. It can be a second chance, it's been for me. But if he insists on causing trouble... We are no pushovers. But I hope it won't come to that. It could be a chance for you and your family, too.

[Dante just shrugs and stretches, reaching for a sealed bottle of vodka he had siting on his desk and works on uncorking it.]

Well, whatever happens happens. I'll do my damndest to make sure nobody gets caught up in our baggage. Regardless all this talk of family and shit is getting me down, so let's change the subject.

How's your sex life? [And with that he starts chugging from the bottle.]

[ Change the subject? This is something he can do, not like he's keen to go and talk about his feelings either. Cassian grabs his mug of caf and starts to take a sip... and then there comes the change of topic...

...and there comes a mouthful of caf spat all over his tidily stacked files. ]

Dante! [ He sputters as he dabs at the coffee stains with a paper towel. ] That's not... You can't ask people about their sex lives without forewarning!

[Yeah he's snickering now. Also he's going to take a moment to drain the bottle and set it back on the desk.]
