You know, you'd think that getting out of bed was hard, but you should try getting out of a pod and waking up in a strange cavern. The blunette stretched herself out, her Magical Girl clothes turning back to her regular school uniform. Sure, she was confused at first, but she came to the realization that maybe this was apart of a witch's lair? Luckily her suspicion was wrong when she listened to the hologram.

This..was definitely a joke!

So she made a voice message.

[Video]

Hey, is anyone there? Madoka? ..you there? [there was a spark of worry, realizing Madoka hadn't made her wish yet] Augh, you better be safe, you hear me? Where are you?

[she tried to remember what had happened before all of this. Sayaka tried to reach out to Kyuubey too, he should be around...]

[Action]

[While waiting for a response from anyone, she walked to the city, taking in the sites and strangeness of it all..actually it was pretty cool! But first she spotted a small cafe. Maybe a quick drink will help?]

I'm afraid none of those names sound familiar to me.

{ Kyuubey sort of does, but... it's vague, and he doesn't really remember it. }

No more than anyone else, really. Who brought us here is a matter for debate. Some believe it was the Spirits, and others still believe it wasn't a who, but a what. There are several theories, but none have been definitively proven. What is clear is that the responsible party has not made themselves known, and doesn't seem to have any desire to do so.

[she stared at him, then looked to the side]

Weird. Well! At least we're not in immediate danger, plenty of time to unravel the culprit. [mutters] I hate being a rat in a cage..what a drag.

Don't take the relative safety of this world for granted. { The way he says it, it's as if he were offering advice about potentially bad weather and not a risk to their physical safety. } Occasionally, the barriers will fail, and this world, much like my own, has no shortage of humanity at its most loathsome. Just look at the newspapers, particularly the bounty sections. And that's not even considering that whoever, or whatever, doesn't seem to do its homework before choosing somebody to bring to this world.

That said, all things considered, this particular cage is quite nice. I certainly prefer it to my previous one.

Well you're certainly positive... [chuckles at her sarcastic remark]

You must have come from a really rough world before this. What was it like?

You'll have to forgive me for that. A lifespan like mine allows one a rather unflattering perspective of the world, and humanity in particular.

{ Though, his misanthropic view of his fellow human beings has gotten a bit better, thanks in no small part to Mavis's influence, as well as his curse seemingly being easier to control in this world versus his own, and therefore allowing him to socialize more often. He chalks that up to a certain God of Life and Death not having much influence here. }

Not terribly different from this one, especially Fayren. Magic is considered a part of everyday life, as essential to civilization there as things like electricity and gas are to places like Genessia City or Nova City. Of course, that doesn't stop humanity from lusting for power, waging war, or blaming others for their own shortcomings. I suppose it shouldn't be surprising to know that human nature is constant even across dimensional boundaries, though I've found other things to like about this world that simply are not possible in my own.

[Sayaka blinked, looked around, then back at the other]

You've been through a lot, then. Surely, you've seen the good in people though, right?

[pauses] How..old are you?

Individual people, yes. { Especially one in particular. } Collectively, they have disappointed me at every opportunity.

I've lived for more than four centuries.

{ He says that as casually as if we were talking about the weather. }

[Sayaka squinted]

Eh?!?!?? How do you look like a kid and not an old coot? What do you mean MORE THAN four centuries?

I'll try to take that as a compliment. { 'Kid' is a new one, but he's heard before, particularly from certain members of Fairy Tail, that they were expecting him to look like some kind of horrible monster, given what he's infamous for in his world. He honestly can't even remember how old he was when he became immortal, but he did remember that he was to about to graduate from the Mildian Academy. }

It's a long story. Just suffice it to say that immortality is not as nice as it sounds, in practice... and certainly is not without dire cost.

Reeeally? Augh, yeah, I've heard about it before.

But..you and they are all right, immortality can sound so boring! It definitely has it's two sides of positive and negative.

[Sayaka bit her tongue a bit before adding] Did you want it? Immortality, that is.

I'm not sure 'boring' is the word I would have chosen.

{ Sure, there were some boring moments, but overall, it was lonely. Depressing. Especially given what came with his particular form of immortality. }

Of course not. You could say it happened completely by accident. { Though, to be fair, they did try to warn him. } It's... a part of a curse. Though, for what it's worth, the Curse appears to be under better control in this world, than it was in my own.

[..Man did she know what that was like. Thinking about herself being practically a zombie still haunted her here. She wondered if she was forever going to be this age]

A curse, huh.. who did you anger to get it? I'm glad its better here than your old world.

Maaaybe this caged world is a hell of a lot better, wouldn't you say?

A very vindictive and cruel god. { Punishing someone with immortality and a curse that kills anyone he could ever grow to care about, essentially damning him to an eternity of being lonely isolated from the rest of humanity, for the crime of trying to bring somebody back from the dead definitely seems a little disproportionate. Thankfully, that particular god doesn't seem to have much influence in this world, or at least, that's the only logical conclusion that both he and Mavis have reached as to why they seem to have less difficult controlling that latter part of the curse, here. }

That's a thought I've been having lately, yes. I can do things in this world that were simply not possible in my own. At this point, I'm not even sure I would want to return to my world if given the choice.

Then good, don't come back! Especially to a god like that.

[she laughed devilishly to herself] ..Although, if I had a curse like that I'd kick that god's ass! I bet you could too with time and practice. All things end~

If only it were that simple. { Though, he certainly understands the sentiment. } I'll settle for his influence on this world being greatly diminished.

Fair enough. What's he look like? If he tries anything funny, then I'm sure me and a lot of others- ESPECIALLY my friends- we'll take him down easy!

We've gotta stick together against the forces of evil! Hehe!

{ Aaaand the frown returns. }

I don't know. Unlike certain other gods, such as Chronos, Aknhseram, to my knowledge, has never manifested in Earth-land. { Barring a few fan theories, of course. } That said, if he ever were to appear in this world, I imagine he'd be hard to miss.

Good. Then he will deserve a really good knuckle sandwhich when I meet em'! Especially for placing dumb curses on cool dudes like you! I'll be like--

[Sayaka motioned her fist, in a punching motion] Hi-YA! And with my sword I'll just..!

[then mimicked roughly her swordplay in the air, looking proud] Slash him up like the dummy he is! Haha!

Far be it from me to try to stop you.

{ She really is a lot like Natsu. }

I can see why Madoka likes you.
