4th Shot [Video]

[Rip tilts her phone towards her from arms length. It's resting on a table and it seems a certain huntress is sitting outside on a balcony somewhere in Genessia City. The night is a beautiful one as far as she's concerned so why bother staying inside? She was studying her phone as she toyed with a chain around her neck with a sapphire looking charm on it. The charm matched a steel bracelet she was wearing with a similar glass bauble set into it.

She leaned forward, not caring if anyone saw down her dress shirt with its first four buttons undone. Rip was relaxed right now...and she had a few questions.]

I've been thinking about getting a job to ease my restlessness. But the problem is, what is out there that I would be good at.

[She shifts a little and there's a note pad at her elbow with a list of things on it. Job's she's had in the past....Among the list are 'Butcher', 'Gun seller', 'Hunter', 'Leather shop owner', 'bondage gear and leather working', 'Sniper', 'Military officer' and as a joke 'Hellsing Pest'.  She glances towards the list and moves it more into view as she looks it over.  Also on the list were a few things she would like to do.  Such as, sing and open her own leather shop again. She liked doing both of those and admittedly missed her old shop.]

I've been so many things over my long life that it's hard to pin down what I should do next. 

[What people should question is what didn't make it on that list. Rip is keeping to the legal side of things, for now. ]

If there's any suggestions, I'd love to hear them~. Don't be shy, I won't bite unless you like it.

[If Namur bothers to look for her, she's sitting out on the balcony of his apartment. It's not like she strays too far these days. Not yet anyway.]

[Sure, he can be off work for the evening. He follows her taste trail outside, and slips his arms around her waist, bunting her head with his temple. Then he nips at her ear.]

Actually I's wondrin' if y' wanna start goin' t' work with me. Been needin' a 'nother manager, an' I wanna get someone could maybe take over for me so I can start workin' on somethin' else. Whaddy' think? Wanna give it a try?

[She turns her head slightly as she hears the door open and can't help but smile as he approaches. Rip leans a little into him when his arms slip around her waist and she can't help but let out a soft little pleased sound at the head bump and nip to her ear.

What could she say? Him being around pleases her as she settles back against him to considered his offer. It could be interesting even if it was temporary.]

I zhink I could enjoy zhat. Zhough, you'll haf to explain exactly vat it is I'm getting myzelf into~.

[She had a decent idea of what he did, she just didn't know exact details.]

Besides, vorking vith you might be fun.

Unfortunately, fun kinda ain't been part a the job for awhile. An' I ain't a hunnerd percent sure we even oughta be doin' it anymore. But I can't depend on bounty huntin' no more, so here we are.

[Deep breath. Okay. How to pitch this thing that he's thrown himself into, to the point where he feels like he lost sight of what was important in his life, to Rip- who probably, now that he thinks about it, wouldn't be sympathetic to the reasons for its founding anyway? Ugh, he's a dumbass. Well, whatever. Just dive in and see what happens. Worst she says is no, right? Right.]

Jolly Eddy's is escorts for folk that's gotta get 'round town but ain't entirely certain they'll make it on their own. Like if yer at a bar an' got more drunk'n y' meant an' there's a pile a harpies out there lookin' in, y' call us an' we'll walk with y', jus' t' make sure nothin' too nasty happens. Usually 's nothin', but we all get in at least one good scuffle a night. Used t' be mostly humans callin' in but there was a turf war 'bout a year or so back 'twixt the vampires an' the werewolves so now we's gettin' all types. Good way t' get t' know the city, though. Yer instincts'd be good for catchin' danger quick, an' if shit gets deep I know yer good t' come out on top.

[As he tells her about it, at first he rubs his cheek against the side of her face, but soon that gives way to him straightening up and running his fingers through her hair, making half assed braids that he then smoothes, then starts again.]

I would rather a job that interests me then something just for the sake of money. Otherwise, I get bored quickly.

Thought about trying something new? My understanding is that there's little consequence for failing here, so might as well take chances? If that's your thing.

I make sure whatever I end up doing is something I enjoy doing. Besides, I may like having a job, but that doesn't mean I don't take time for play when I'm off work.

Ah, but to test the waters; try something new. That's always exciting to push your own boundaries. Still...play is quite important. I'll try to keep that in mind if I ever manage a long life~

Testing the waters is exactly what I intend to do. Just so long as it falls within my specific skill set, I'll be happy. Besides, there's always a new and interesting ways to express myself through play afterwards.

[Eliot has been doing his best to be scarce lately. He's sad, stressed, and a bit angry to see Rip's face on the feed. While it would be easy to just flip his phone off again (he's been ignoring calls for days now,) he decides to bite.

Just because Rip asked a question and he doesn't want to be a bad person for not answering. When replying, he's quiet and lifeless. On top of everything, Eliot is getting hungry again.]

Augustine does singing sometimes. You should just do that. You two could have fun together.

[Well now, guess who she hasn't seen in awhile. She's taking note of just how lifeless he seems an admittedly, she's curious. So, Rip being Rip, she has to poke at the little vampire.]

I know und he has a remarkable singing voice much like mine. Zhough, I'd zhink you vouldn't vant us disturbing your rest vhen ve're togezher.

It was rare to see Sakuya on the network but... Well, why not? This person at least seemed interesting. And so a very refined woman with a french accent appeared on Rip's device. Dressed in full maid uniform.

"That is quite the impressive list. But it doesn't mean much without knowing your full set of skills. Is there anything you were specifically looking for?"

Rip had to pause for a moment when she heard the french accent and then saw the maid uniform. Well, she did suppose some people were into that...whether it was the job or other reasons.

'Anything zhat can hold my attention really." She shrugged as she considered her list again. "Az for zhe full skill set, lets just say zhis list is a hint to it."

The accent did sound quite natural though. Perhaps the uniform was sincere? As a matter of fact, if Rip had been in Castlevania at all the voice might be a little familiar as belonging to Remilia's thrall.

"One can only assume what 'butcher' means." Murderous minds think alike. "But I digress, if you must take your whims into consideration perhaps the bounty board is best. Though I have personally settled for a rather... normal job. Though more predictable days have been rather relaxing. La vie est drôle."

Perhaps. However, Rip hasn't quite made it over to Castlevania for a visit, though she probably should at some point soon just to meet everyone that lives there. As for her questioning what 'butcher' might mean, Rip just smiles.

Murderous minds do think alike, though, Rip DID have the experience to back up butchering animals along with humans. She was a huntress and she was more than happy to hunt anything that bleeds. "Butcher can mean many zhings of course~. However, I doubt zhe bounty board vould be thrilled vith my brand of violence vhen it comes to hunting humans. Zo, it may be best to avoid zhat particular job just to avoid future incidents."

Even though she was saying that, she was pouting. Trust her, she had thought of the possibility before disregarding it. "I hardly doubt a normal job vould suit me. I'd get bored to easily vith zhe monotony. But, if I vere to take my whims into account, zhen vatever I go for vould haf to have some hint of violence in it...or at least singing."
